Still sick that sucks.

btw i put 4 seeds into root riot plugs this week. One up on day 2 but still waiting on the others. Going to try and build a new grow system before they are ready to flower.

Glad to hear that you're going to be putting that room back in action. I'll swing by in a couple of weeks and see what's going on. Your last run was great.

3elders and old goblin. Both s were screaming to be transplanted. Old goblin was 30" from soil in a 10" pot so I hesitated to put it in a taller pot for awhile and thus it's health declined slightly. Some true sativas there....
I've never grown any very pure sativas before, but the 3elders has much appeal to it's structure. It is very vigorous and shows potential.

I was feeling good enough to go buy some EWC. I picked up 3 cubic feet. I've been going through mine and almost ran out. This has motivated me to get the materials for building my own horizontal flow worm bin. I'll go get the cedar fence boards. I'm going to make it 19x39x28" (width x length x height). That will give me two chambers that will be around 5 cubic feet each. I'll keep one side full and as the worms process the food I'll start filling the other side and they will migrate over to the new food source. I can then gather the vermicompost from the side they already ate. This will work for my lazy style of gardening. Here are my 2 plastic worm bins. The sit in a hydro pot tray that's 22 1/2" x 42 1/2".

Thanks for sharing those. My 3M looks a lot like 3Elders (I'm seeing the middle one). 3M doesn't stretch as much as most sativa leaning cultivars. My pheno hunt Panama Red is stretching like a true sativa.

I built my worm bin today. It took me most of the day. I made it 42" long, 22" wide and 27" height. It is made out of cedar.

Here is the cedar fence boards and the cedar 2x2".

Here is the bottom of the worm bin.

Here is how it looks from underneath. I built all the sides by framing around the outside with the 2x2".

Here it is all finished.

Good to see you around my grow friend. I'll give a smoke report when my lung finally clear up and I can sample her. It'll probably be a few weeks though. I haven't smoked anything in over a week because of this flu I'm going through. So I'll have to get back into form. Right now ditch weed may get me high.

I can say this about my last Blue Orca (her sister) that it is some of the best I have. The people who have tried both say TO is better. I've also been told that going to 14 weeks with TO turns her into the killer category.

I've got to finally sample The One. It is not harsh and has that typical marijuana smell. It's kind of a light skunk smell. It is a head high that lasts for a few hours. It doesn't make me nonfunctional so it is good when I have things to do. It is comparable to Blue Orca so it is a keeper for me.

My stable is full of some of the best herb I've ever grown. I couldn't be happier. :dance013:

Now about a pheno hunt update? I'm still running 22 plants at the moment. One 3Elders is showing its feminine side but the rest are still not sexed. I figure to transplant some of these into 2 gallon pots this weekend. I've got a pool tournament coming up in early March so I'll let them grow for a bit and then take cuttings when I get back from the tournament.

16 days ago I flipped my teenagers in the teenage area so it's time for some pictures. I'm going to be pollinating these ladies this weekend. I looking at Sunday after the grandkids go home. It's so weird that my teenage grandkids want to hang over here on the weekends and bring their BFFs along too. When I was 15 there was no way I wanted to hang at my grandparents house. I guess I'm lucky that they and their BFFs like us. Anyway when they're around I don't get much cellar work done.

Oops, got off topic there. I was talking about pollination and this will have a back cross to 3M with the male that was her parent. I'm not sure what to expect but I'm hoping to find some plants that are leaning heavily towards the Thai stick. Here are the pictures.

Besides harvesting seeds I also finished the top for my horizontal worm bin. The one neighbor that I was getting rabbit poop from had their rabbit pass away. So no more rabbit poop. My other neighbor has 2 horses so there is no shortage of horse manure. I got a 5 gallon bucket of horse manure and dumped it into the other side. The side with the EWC from the plastic worm bins is almost finished so the worms should migrate over to the other side and start processing the horse manure.

I'll let you figure out what is fresh and what is worm processed. Here is a picture of the top that I finished today.

No hinges. It just fits and I pull it up with the handles.

Just harvested my worm bin last week. 8 five gallon buckets worth. Plus a bucket full of worms to start a separate pile. Use a smart pot big bed. Already refilled and going.

Half full with leafs, 1/4 unprocessed stuff from filtering for castings. then a mix of coffee grounds, manures (horse, chicken, cow, exotic) and pureed veggie scraps.

Using some of the harvested worms to add to all my pots.

Castings for top dressing, teas, and soil amending.

woot woot!!

I transplanted some of the pheno hunt plants into 2 gallon pots and was able to determine sex on most of them that I transplanted. I'll let these veg until I get back from the pool tournament next month. Then I'll take cuttings and flip them. I still have to transplant 3Elders and Konga. Konga isn't ready for 2 gallon pots yet. I found 5 males today and 4 females. 8 I still can't sex so I'm done to 17 pheno hunt plants.

Here is what I know for sure on the sex. Old Goblin was 2 females and 2 males. Goblin Scepter was 2 males and an unknown. Purple Star was 2 females, 2 males and an unknown. Panama Red is 2 unknowns.
