Adjusted light height, again. Checked PPM's and PH's. Res bucket, and plant buckets PH were 6.0, and PPMs were 376, dropped 24 points since saturday.
Raised ppm's of res, and both plants by adding to each bucket:
1/4tsp HW-Micro, 1tsp Bloom, 1/4tsp Floralicious Plus. PPM's increased 28 points to 404.
Was my approach correct?
Is this how you increase nutes throughout its cycle? Or am i supposed to up the ppm's when im flushing and remixing my fresh batch of solution? Should my PPM's be higher? This is the 2nd full day of 12/12.

lookin good, idk about the amounts ot nutes but the ppms are fine. i usually run about 500 veg and then gradually up it to 1000ppms by the second week of flower. thats no additves, just nutes. as far as when to, you can up it a lil during topoffs or just wait till you do a reserve change either one will work fine.
Both of my babies, sex undetermined! So far the other two Richy Rich's that were planted with this one, turned out to be males for a friend of mine

Had the hubby takes some pictures for us. So here they are, on their fifth day of flowerring.
Have the top of this BigGreen bent over and tied down.

Things have been going well in the garden this passed week. PH levels and TDS readings have been stable. Also, root growth and plant height continues to gain with each new day.
Some female looking flowers seem to be coming in on the BigGreen plant. We will be installing the new water cooler/chiller come saturday, and flushing/remixing the system. Will be orderring a new PPM meter, Superthrive(for cloning), Florakleen(for flushing) and either a bottle of Liquid Koolbloom or a thing of dry KoolBloom.

here's stoned2death's just chopped blueberry grow. he used 2 400s and dwc.
if nothing else, just to look at his huge pile of buds.

s2d is awesome.
those males always seem to have that little yellowish spot when they first start to show. i always end up letting them go a few more days just to be sure, but always turn out to be males.
how's this for weird luck-
i was growing out some bagseed, and i had 21 plants. i'm thinking i'll get some yeild out of this, right.
ended up with 15 males.
the 6 girls are just finishing up.
then started 7 sweet warp and got 5 females; 7 dreamgoddesses and got 6 females; 4 cinn. hazeXdreamweavers and got 3 females. and 3 blockheads and got 2 females.
the tide turned.
i read somewhere around here that stress in the 3rd and 4th week of veg will produce more males, and no stress during those weeks will up the female ratio, and i think it's true. the 21 got major heat stress just before a month old.

Just finished up installing my new water cooler/chiller, and putting together a small 36watt Flourescent veg/clone cabinet. Am planning on getting 1 or 2 105watt Compact Flouro's for $23.88 each from 1000bulbs.com sometime in the near future. Also setup a 6qt. bubble cloner and took 4 clones of my big green plant, I hope they root!
Will update with pictures later, going to take a nice cool shower and goto bed. Sweet dreams to all.

i,ve never been so attracted to a married women(hehehe) only kidding. 1. that ? on the male plant you suspect...the first pic looks like forming nanners, pic 2 and 3 bad angles and i cant tell. hope they're girls. 2. good call on the chiller..always spend the little extra to avoid trouble i always say. chillers are like insurance in hydro cause as you know water temps make or break dwc grows. 3. i believe you asked a question about the pump timer. IMO in a recirculating ststem i would leave pump on all the time. now of course you do not need to, but the current formed within the system i believe excellerates root production(root mass translates into yeild). and do all of your ppm, addbacks, topoffs and ph monitoring in the control res. it is a system is it not, and if it circulates, ppm and ph hold consistant in control and buckets and lines. just a thought

But yes, a chiller was indeed a "need" the first one we had took a shit just a few days after rigging it up. My recirculating pump, I ended up keeping it on 24/7. It did seem like the roots "took off" after setting up the recirculator. My ph was stable until yesterday, dropped to 5.4 for some reason, oh well. Flush and clean and remix in an hour anyways.
Anyone have any thoughts on trimming the huge fan leaves off the "main stalk"? I did with my 2 because the leaf growth was just insane, no light getting in below the tops.

:w00t: for the chiller, you guys got it goin on over there! tuck the leaves as mentioned where possible, remove them as last choice. you may want to make a lil larger holes in the bubble cloner to not harm the roots on removal but thats up to you. nice lil cab too, i love those things! gl with the big green clones!
Found some pictures of a BigGreen plant my husband and I raised in 2006 when we had a larger box (because we were renting a house, now we're in an apartment) The big box was 3 feet deep, 6 feet tall and 6 feet wide with 2 - 250watt HPS and 1 - 175watt MH.
Ahh memories. I do not remember what the yeild was for that, but friends of ours have said it was the best smoke they've had in years. We get junky mexi-brick garbage around our county, we just got lucky with the big green seeds.

just flushed and cleaned, and cut down the Richy Rich plant which was male. So, all 3 richy rich were males. BG still no signs of sex so, should I be safe thinking its going to be a female? Been 8 days in flower... So, added 16tsp-HW-Micro, 8tsp-Gro, 24tsp-Bloom, 1tsp Floralicious Plus, to 8 gallons of water to bring PPM's to 680~. Sound about right? All nutes are GH Flora series. PPM meter going nuts as well. Does this meter look half decent? Its a truncheon style for $40ish on ebay.
