That is CC's fault. He came on here to answer questions but refuses too. He just attacks greywolf and the appion instead of answering questions about his product. I think it shows everyone what kind of a person he is. We do not need more folks like this in the cannabis community.

Apart from the hilarious entertainment offered in this advertising, we thought that it would be best to keep that Conn guy quiet...as he is just spamming us with his wares of dubious safety. Thank you Gray Wolf and all for keeping this so civil...I'm still learning what's what with extractions.

No one is allowed to make a product that doesn't conform to your evolving standards then. The video and product was aimed at BHOtards and would be much safer than what they're doing now. The static and bleeding are competitive trumped-up non-issues, and the product including the glass is liability the manufacturer seems willing to take on. The over-the-top response wouldn't have gone down like it did if the videos were professional and the manufacturer was one of you. Bad taste all around.

Interesting that you're so invested in this discussion with only 10 posts. It's almost like you created this account solely to discredit Gray Wolf and turn the tide of public opinion in favor of CC. Weird.

The issue was two fold.

CC poisoned the well to gain marketing edge, using factoids, half truths, and myths masterfully interwoven. His advertizement was that the rest of us were charlatans.

Secondly, he advertized that his product was the safer answer replacing them all, yet publishes a public film that violates several basic safety principles.

Had he not taken either of those marketing approachs, the audience would have no doubt been less hostile.

Clearly, but if there is an accident, is the more than willing manufacturer covered with enough product liability insurance to pay the damages, or indeed any product liability insurance at all?

The over-the-top response wouldn't have gone down like it did if the videos were professional and the manufacturer was one of you.

Professional videos, demonstrating proper safety etiquette, would most certainly drawn less negative response, but if any one of us had taken the same major dump in our collective nest as CC did poisoning the well, I can pretty much gurarantee a critical audience.

Bad taste all around.

You have some points here but your being rather petty and hypocritical yourself in how you're making them.

Also, and really surprised you seem to either not know this or want to acknowledge it, but, closed loops specifically for cannabis extraction have been around for at least a decade. I'm sure you can find the posts either on bluelight or elsewhere where people began designing and producing their own. Mass produced? Doubt it. But they're definitely not too new.

As far as Mr. Extractor goes, about the same as zho, who cares? Those who care about health and safety will stay away, and those who don't care won't be convinced by a few hundred posts on an obscure forum that they more than likely don't frequent. This occurs in virtually every industry, not just cannabis. If anything, I'd say all this hoopla just gives them more publicity.

Definently some shill from connoisseur trying to save face since Drew hasn't actually defended his product, he's just throwing barbs at Grey Wolf because he knows his extractor is inferior and aimed for the ignorant and misinformed.

Not sure what the point of coming on here and trying to defend your product. Not only hasn't he answered any important questions but his demographic is for those that don't research products, they buy it because marketing says so..

I think being able to vacuum a system down to remove the fumes before opening after a run is super important. Material soaked in butane and a tanks full of fumes are way too dangerous. Static is a real issue here and will start fires.

Taking on liability is a huge undertaking. It takes massive due diligence and an insurance policy. Considering that ConnoisseurConc does not have a basic understanding of static and potential energies I doubt he learned any of the other basic principles he should know before manufacturing a product like this. This shows no due diligence to me.

Now may we talk about finishing. Would you share with us how you recommend finishing the material from your recovery pot to meet current residual solvent standards?

Do you have any reputable third party lab analysis of product demonstrating the deposits of metal and PTFE and if so, would you please share?

I am most curious about your use of 9mm borosilicate tube for the extraction tube, which we too looked at because it is so obvious, but decided to not pursue it after considering the effect of shock sensitivity during sharp temperature gradients.

We even looked at having the glass coated inside and out with clear PTFE for the added safety, but decided it wasn't a good idea to have a pressurized glass vessel with flammable gas inside.

Sort of along the same lines of why the gas station won't fill your glass jug for you.

That leads me to the subject of liability insurance. May we see a copy of your policy and contact information to your carrier?

I can see that this thread is completely one sided. I was wrong about this site. Clearly everyone is able to dish out a abundance of insults and unsubstantiated claims about his product but arnt able to handle a little thrown back in their own direction. Nobody won or lost anything in this debate. But removing his input in this conversation makes this site and their administrators look just as bad as CC. For all I know he could of responded to everything and you guys just deleted it so gray wolf would appear to have won. This site is clearly NOT the place I want to get info from.
