Focus now play later

yah i know. i'm pretty focused, everything looks great and right on schedule. my lady is flying back to hawaii in two days and then i'll start harvest. i have a pretty good crew lined up, hope everything goes smoothly

i think we're gonna de-leaf everything again this year before hanging. cost me a couple grand last year in labor but made up for it with lots of good shatter and hash. plus ppl want to buy good trim and it never smells as good when you dry with the fan leaves on

Leaves dont effect terpenes if you can't separate the leaves out before trimming cleanly get a smarter crew

Keep dry room cool and it'll smell greatness

I've been on a crew that deleafed into a paper bag right before we trimmed. Takes like 30 seconds. A little extra work for us but it was great weed and great trim. The manager would go through it and make sure it was on point. I'm going to try to do what you do this year caterpillar and deleaf them myself after drying and then bucking into turkey bags until processing. I dont believe pre trimming increases quality. If anything the leaves prevent further oxidation.

The only thing that is gonna prevent oxidation is having enough fats produced.

Not leaveing the primary leaves or taking them off. The only thing taking them off fresh does is lower quality from over handling ... no matter how careful the claim, handling the fruit when wet for any other reason than to get that bud on the hanger and drying is too much touching.

Good call Tess , your trim scene is about to be smooth as hell. I'd just like to suggest putting a fan in the center of every cage you're hanging on because that wall of beds is keeping a convection flow from happening

We used to have the cleaners take off fans and such on a big area with chairs on a tarp. Then once they had their bag of branches cleaned of fans they would go to their trimming stations and get to work. I found this was a easy way to keep the fans in one place, and they never even made it into the trimming rooms.

Off the plant, onto the lines
Off the lines, into contro bags or totes
Bags and totes given to individual trimmers (that way each trimmer works the whole bag till.its done, no cherry picking, and easy to hand the important bags to the best trimmers)
Trimmer cleans off fans
Trimmer trims up weed into labeled paper bags
Paper bags for a day or two to breath
Weigh up pounds into turkeys
Sell or store lol
Chill

I put up a shelter to stay out of rain.. stand under shelter and cut each limb ... buck off fan leaves then hang in drying room ... makes for great trim and leaves the sun leaves in the patch.

last season shelter

Last seasons shelter and bucking station setup. already takin down a few in this pic .. just move down the line ... of course my garden is a lot smaller then many others. Sure is nice to have a place to take them down .. i put a power cord out there .. setup a lamp , coffee maker and music ... fill up a small tote then take them in and hang them

Yep, that's how I do it. Works great for my system. I'm under the impression that the plant is still alive for a week or two after harvest and cutting off all the leaves is stressing the plant out and cutting off its fuel source for peak ripening. Anyone else think that?

Did BuD-E go to Symboisis with you?

No I don't think music festivals like that are a good place for dogs.. My good friend / former neighbor / ex-partner watched my spot for the weekend and took care of Bud E for me, he also brought his beautiful bluenose pitbull , Proof, who has been Bud's friend since they were puppies / neighbors 9 yrs ago. So they had lots of dog fun while I was away at symbiosis. It's so nice when old friends reunite!
