Yo shcrews congrats on once again upping your quality and quantity! Absolutely gorgeous garden man

I wonder how many grows your threads have inspired throughout the years. I know I was inspired when I first saw your monsters a few years back. I had never seen plants that big and frosty before and it was you who really made me want try growing outdoors. So thanks for setting the bar so damn high!

I have a question for ya. Last year when you were dealing with pm how did u handle it in late flower? And how did u decide when enough was enough? I mean, how did u determine when the infected plant had to be harvested? I've got an sfv that has pm on the lower parts of the plant...
thanks for the thanks, I just try to follow whatever energy flow i feel at the moment

last year i started chopping when the PM spread from fan leaves to the stems. I sprayed once with a light dose of Green Cure to wash it off but it returned quickly and i knew it was time to start harvest. This year i dont have ANY PM!! :woohoo: so i'm gonna let my plants go as long as they need. it's such a nice feeling

that short ancient is even stinkier than the South Fork Kush.

no wonder bodhi was calling it the mother of all OG's

I need to get on my shit and start this Ancient OG breeding project. I have cuts of my 3 biggest females, plus i have f2 open pollination seeds. I think i want to find a couple stud males from the f2's and do another open pollination with them and the three f1 female moms. IDK what that would be called but it should produce a nice mix of monster plant genetics , plus can play around with each mom specifically if i want to

LOL i might need help for this

well i,m sure cat710 can give you better breeding advice than i could ever , i,m experiencing lately preferring to use one male , i,m seeing way more consistency in the offspring . if one of your particular AOG hits it off with the male , you have a whole heap of predictable seeds from her to run .

using lots of males is obviously really good for preserving the the lines , but as commercial grower , having a bag of predictable seeds is a big ace in the hole .

all comes down to testing all the offspring , then . f2 will open up a lot of genetic heritage though , which can be great but also not so much sometimes . perhaps a cross of a different male you like onto your AOG cuts , then run all the seed , see who,s holding the goods , maybe .

its real shame you don,t have a cut of that chunky gal , bit special i rekon , you could have prob coaxed a bigger plant out of her in a cross , i rekon you were onto it talking about the sfk for a male.

i,ve hedged my bets on black lime (chemdawg pheno) x ancient this season , for being the nicest of the bunch

thanks for the info. Theres a few different directions i want to go.

i could still try to take cuts of that one... just havent been having a good success rate lately with my old methods (rockwool, clone gel, domes). i should probably get an aerocloner. i used to make them from the DIY thread on here, kinda a bit of work though

Do rockwool plugs or coco, and use that rooting powder from Wal-mart/Home Depot. Way better than any gel I have ever used.

from now on i want my clones to be organic if possible. I've heard of people rooting cuts with Aloe Vera? the aerocloner works great too with just water, but cleaning it regularly is a chore, and the rootballs are fragile.

If you stick with the domes I would grab a heat mat if you don't already have one. Especially with the cold temps around the corner.

White willow bark in water is said to be an organic rooting hormone...never tried it..works as anti inflammatory like aspirin too

I used a clone mat last winter without a thermostat no problem

Bro in those night photos you look like you've got fat worms crawling upward out of the center of your plants looking for some god to smoke them.

Really wish I was able to get some pollen this year but yea I Am shit at cloning. One green crack made it but now it's too late to get pollen with cs. I'd love to cross it to my big ass dream beaver. Bummed :( .but maybe I can clone a flower from the db. fat chance.
