they are still filling out nicely. looks like the SFK will be done soon but the 2-wave could go a couple more weeks even. the buds will be massive

you mind giving us a first hand on the sfk , easy grow , terps , size . cheers
sfk was a breeze to grow, great vigor from the start . i have grown the clone-only 818 OG and terpwise the sfk is very similar, with a bit less citrus and more fuel. 818 OG is one of my favorites so needless to say i also love the sfk. it yields much better than 818 OG, similar structure though. just imagine 818 on steroids haha
the SFK doesnt seem like it can hit 10+lbs. it's extremely chunky but lacks the stretch that i associate with OG hybrids. This is not surprising, 818 OG is not known to be a big producer compared to other OG cuts. Of course it could just be the particular pheno that i planted, one which turned out short and stocky, but SFK seems more suited to an indoor or greenhouse / high plant count grow. i'm sure with the right pheno you could get 6-8lb per plant average but she's just not what i would grow when i'm trying for 15lb monsters.
I think big plant growers would do better with some of South Fork's other offerings. i am hoping to try some of the new South Fork Seeds offerings that incorporate the SFK. I think they are working on a cherry pie x SFK backcross, might be mistaken but that definitely sounds delicious. I feel if SFK is crossed with the right strain it could help the overall size . I want to cross SFK with Ancient OG, i think that would be a match made in heaven. Ancient OG needs more gassy terps and SFK needs more stretch.

Just try more phenos it sounds like you got one similar to one I run my friend just went through a few hundred of them and killed it although the grow was in a GH.

thats exactly what i,m attracted too , the stockiness and those huge crowns . looks top yield for the size .
i,ve been messing round with the long valley royal kush , as nice as the smoke is .... the yield is average , one last crack at her this season with new offspring from different parent , see what happens
Lots of diff royals, from clone to seed ect.
ive seen three different royals they were all pretty similar . its nice i just think the sfk is better

SFK is from my first planting
two-wave is definitely a contender for next year, she's filling out really nice. If i grow a blue dream cross again it's a toss up between Kaya's or Dream Lotus. Ancient OG never lets me down and i have lots of F2's so might run those too or might try to do the SFK x AOG this winter so i have seeds for next season. narrowing down my options though for sure. After a few seasons of experimentation I now have an idea of which genetic traits i am looking for in this climate, and which lines will give me the results i want.. i like the idea of running a couple of strains in the main garden, and some random ones on the side for fun
my native soil experiment worked out pretty well this year. i really hope they change the laws here so i can cover my hill with plants. , i know there is potential here to just plant seedlings straight into the ground and crush it with high numbers
I'll get some more SFK seeds at the cup and do a pheno hunt over the winter, or just sprout a bunch in the spring.
do you think the SFK x Cherry chem bx will have a bigger structure than the SFK or Cherry Pie do by themselves?
for the AOG x SFK i have 3 options, not sure which is best
1. select a male from my Ancient OG f2 seeds, and a female from South Fork Kush seed stock.
2. select a female from the AOG f2's , and a male from the SFK
3. select a male SFK, cross with one of my keeper AOG females from this season (f1 seed stock from bodhi)

All our stuff is linebred so yes I think the combination of the two will be what's called a battle cross.
Especially if the SFK/chemdog is the female in the cross with the cherry Chem x cherry pie bc1 as the male.

we're chopping whole plants and hanging branches on remesh cages with fan leaves still on them.
so far have 0% losses to mold, pests, mildew, bugs, or anything.
i havent been able to find any window A/C's locally so my drying room is not as cold as i would like. i got a dehumidifier tho at least, rented a dri-eaze from home depot
