Also make sure you properly acclimate your plants to light intensity. Shade cloth or multiple layers peeled back for a week.

I like to just throw them out there and let the strong survive. Sun isn't too intense in April But yah I feel you.

heres a pvc hoop i built years back

It will be more intense in your gh so be advised, I'd pick up a piece from home depot I think they sell it

Edit, guess I was wrong about this, it certainly seems that way when youre in there, someone dropped some knowledge on my last ig post if interested, and more reason to use the good gh materials and not home depot shit like im doing. Mofoo uses remay for shade and insulation.

Shcrews, I'm inspired by these genetics so I'm going to say fuck Green Crack and shell out some extra money I don't have to get down on some Bodhi gear. I found a site offering buy two packs get one free so at $5 a seed I can pull it off! Here's my question. They're out of Blueberry Hashplant. I know all his gear is quality and you probably hate this question but which 2 or 3 strains would you choose out of the following if yield was a priority:

LEGEND OG x SNOW LOTUS WOLF PACK SNOW TEMPLE
BC SWEET SKUNK x 88G13HP
Sky Lotus
White Lotus (The White x Snow Lotus)
Blue Tarra (Bubbashine x Snow Lotus)
Boysenberry Hashplant ( Gogi Boysenberry f3 x 88g13 Hashplant)
Chem Kesey (91 Skunk va x 88g13 Hashplant)
Cherry Hashplant (Afkansastan x 88g13/HP)
Chocolate Trip f2 (Dutch Flower’s Chocolate Trip[indigo Diamond x Chocolate Thai]x [Chocolate Thai x Indigo Diamond] Open Pollination)
Cougar's Milk (So Cal Master x Appalachia)
Dank Zappa (86 UW Hashplant x 88g13 Hashplant)
Dream Beaver (Dirty Hippy x Appalachia)
Granola Funk (GSC Forum x Wookie #15)
Guava Hashplant (Stardawg Guava x 88g13 Hashplant)
Jabba's Stash (Bubba Kush x Snow Lotus)
Lotus Larry (Lotus OG x Snow Lotus)
Purple Wookie (Road Kill Unicorn x Wookie 15)
Secret Chief (SFV OG x 88g13 Hashplant)
Superstitious (Stevie Wonder x Snow Lotus)

I imagine the Snow Lotus crosses are best but I was figure you have experience with some of these. I keep seeing comments like "yields well for an OG" but it seems like all of the snow lotus crosses are with an OG.

Here's my best guess: Sky Lotus, Dream Beaver, Snow Temple, White Lotus?

Awesome looking summer you have shaping up :D how well does Ancient OG yield? I'd love to do 35-40 in 45 gallons for a light dep with a 10-12 week indoor veg

Thanks Shcrews, now I'm wondering why you got 8x the seed you need for 24? I'm sure you want enough plants to up your chances of finding very vigorous ladies. Would you say that most of Bodhi's plants that spring up are passable? I will get 4x the amount I need if i have to, but I was hoping I could get away with less? So if I need 20 solid passable females I could pop around 66 seeds? Losing some to germination and males.

Or would you say popping a large number of seeds and selecting only the most vigorous plants is integral to achieving your high yields?

Awesome... what would be a good place to get Bodhi? Your AOG looks AMAZiNG

Not to but in, but I just picked up some Bodhi beans at Sparc in SF yesterday. They had a good selection. I got Blueberry Hash Plant and Sunshine Daydream for part of my full sun run and some Love Triangle for future Pheno hunting. Kind Peoples in Santa Cruz stocks a good amount. There are several mail order options (http://www.holisticnursery.com) but Im to Old School for that. AOG has been retired as far as I know. Hope that helps.

bodhi plants are way better than passable. ive never seen a bad one.

its all about increasing averages. if you want the highest possible average yield per plant then you need the best starts possible. if i only sprouted as many seeds as i need then i would have lower odds of getting the most possible per-plant yield although i might have a few monsters, whereas if i sprout more than i need i can choose only the very biggest ones.

for arguments sake, lets say every strain can grow 10 pound plants. even so, its hard to keep that high average when growing a bunch of random seeds. plant size will vary and although a 6lb plant is good, i am shooting for more than that so selection is key IMO although sometimes its hard to tell how big a seedling will get

hope that makes sense. if you just want big solid females then no worries, but if you need them all to be 12 pound monsters then you might need more starts to choose from because bodhi's seeds are not usually very homogenous, i.e. seeds from the same pack will end up different sizes. some people dont like that kind of variation but i think thats where you find the real treasures if you have the means. its a risky game for me.

Very well said. One of the very biggest lessons ive learned on the ranch. The averages. Easy to have a couple big ones, to have 24 monsters takes a lot of starts and selecting only the most elite performers.

Thanks shcrews! Any thoughts on Bodhi's SSH crosses?

Also what compost are you using this year in your mix? Also what color underwear do you wear? Do you use any supplemental hair products? I want to make sure I get everything right this season.

Shcrews was a model in his previous life. It shines through in his afterlife as a farmer....shirtless garden pics will be rolling in before long.
