Thanks shcrews! Any thoughts on Bodhi's SSH crosses?

Also what compost are you using this year in your mix? Also what color underwear do you wear? Do you use any supplemental hair products? I want to make sure I get everything right this season.

ssh crosses get big and look nice but they just are not my thing. i like the hard hitters.

not sure about compost yet. i dont wear underwear usually. i try to shave my head weekly. hope all that helps :)

shcrews, first I want to thank you for sharing your work, I have learned a lot from all your hard work.... just wondering, how big, or better, how long do you keep your plants inside before bringing them into the sun? I am totally with ya on just throwing them out and letting the strong survive and thrive..this year I am providing a couple of locals with sprouts for their outdoor grow and would like to help them get good starts...thanks in advance for any input you provide..

do you find theres much difference in potency , between the ancient og you grow, and have grown . ? between pheno,s i mean . is there a broad range of them you have seen over the years ? or are they very similar ?

i ask cause i had 4 this year . all very similar , just one built frost a lot earlier than the others . other than that all very much the same. great yield also , like you say .

i also will have to take the pepsi challenge on the table . the dragons blood is a lot larger plant , but the ancient og out performs it . :( kinda disappointing really .

i,m really wondering about the ancient og f2 , i made . what will come of them , its going to unlock some things for sure . sometimes its a good surprise other times not . we shall see . has anyone grown f2 before ? and if so what sort of pheno,s are you seeing ? broad range or uniform

Lester he vegs under t5's for two weeks.

shcrews, what do you mean when you say 'hard hitter'? You're saying SSH crosses get big but not necessarily heavy?

Also, I'm thinking about doing mounds since it'll be a lot easier than getting in between my pots with a bobcat. Are you tilling the ground underneath or just cutting the sides of the smart pot, leaving it in place, and dumping soil on top?

I'm running some Ancient OG f2 I made from last year as a spring test crop. I popped four seeds, one male and three females. The male is definitely like the parents, Ancient OG all the way. But the three females are more Snow Lotus influenced with purple stems... We'll see how they turn out.

I'll probably pop 20+ seeds for the pheno hunt for the full season for 4 spaces in the garden.

Ancient OG is also a great breeding partner with other strains. You shouldn't be shy on using pollen to make some new crosses!

There are a few different phenos in the AOG for sure. Go over to the bodhi thread my friend..

scrhews, what do you know about the Legend OG??
Its an OG cut, which seems to yield well. loud lemon/gas smell. look earlier in this thread somebody posted a picture of an outdoor monster. I might grow the Zelda this year from Swampboys Seeds (legend og x obt).

SSH doesnt get me high. it tastes ok but i prefer blue dream or trainwreck for the narrow-leaf stuff. but i really like OG hybrids for the best compromise between flavor, yield, and potency..

i've seen bodhi's SSH crosses they are great if that's what you're into. they definitely will yield

I dont use smartpots i made my own pots out of hardware cloth.. I want to split the sides and pile more dirt on top, there is already hardware cloth underneath and i want to leave it there for gophers.

Hope things are well for you too man. Glad you got yourself a truck! Movin on up in this world!!!! Couldnt figure out how to change quote so just deleted it. Prime rib, hell ya

start them inside in 4x4" pots or red cups filled with soil under t5's for about 2 weeks, then they can go outside preferably in a greenhouse/hoophouse to protect them from the weather. I transplant them into bigger pots when i put them outside

Hardware cloth like the metal mesh? What size mesh? The soil stats in there? Did you do anything to the ground beneath them?
yes its metal mesh, different sizes will work. i line the sides with fabric. its all been gone over in my 2015 thread. no i dont do anything to the ground beneath them

Fine jungle in there!!! :woohoo:only in my dreams!
