Lol my garden depends on it!!! Funny as hell

Shcrew, sorry to bother you but my grow depends solely on you answering this question : can you type out pi in its entirety? Also should I pull male plants? What is a seed? So no ssh but bd half ssh ok cool? Do plants need water? What size watering can should I get?

LOL just teasing, good luck man, seems you are getting the hang of it..

U funny

N

NewAgeGenetics

moppel's ssh cut "amnesia haze core cut" is a good one... thinkin on this one to grow outdoors at this season.

There are a few different phenos in the AOG for sure. Go over to the bodhi thread my friend..

Hey shcrews, not sure if you saw my pm or not... Let me know if you want that mix from rare e., there's enough bentonite left over to make 100 yards

I've got another pal that may want it, if you pass, but waiting on your answer before I offer it up to him.

I'm still trying to figure out my exact soil amendments. hope leadsled comes in here and breaks down my tests like he did for my buddy tesseracting. Is it possible to just topdress the soil amendments or do i really need to mix them in? i have some time before planting to let them leech into the soil..

Alternatively i might just skip the soil amending and try to correct the soil imbalances via foliar spray. good idea? or should foliar just be a supplement?

The Vermifire results look decent. Forgive me for not following along, but what were your results using it?
results were great although some plants got slight PM at the end of the season which i believe was partly due to the deficiencies seen in the soil test results.

Thanks for sharing. Previously was looking through the thread and could not find the test results.

Few Questions for you:
Why did you use fruit growers lab?
Do you like the graphs FGL uses?
Did you send in a sample to logan labs?

Not all lab tests are equal. I like to use logan or spectrum for the melich3 test. That is a test that uses a strong acid. Does not show what is available right now.

Than stick with the same lab for the future melich3 tests. That way you have a solid baseline. Can test after harvest and see what has changed, than amend before re-planting.

Than later in the season while plants are growing in the soil, get a weaker acid and or a saturated paste test to show the availability. The FGL test also works for this purpose but is pricier. 1. make sure the nutrients are there. 2. Make sure they are available.

Were your plants running out of N last round? The nitrate ratios are getting low on the FGL test but that does no show complete picture ime.

Keep an eye on them and apply N or can top dress 1/4 cup per yard of neem.

Looks like you have the normal excess of potassium, but it not available, same goes for calcium.

Looks like boron levels are low.

The 11 grams per yard of 20 mule team borax is normally max application rate. Take amending couple times to bring up the level of boron.

Best bet is getting the minerals in the soil, rather than trying to band aid your way to harvest by foliar spraying the plant nutritional supplements.

Yes, you can top dress the amendments or water in/spray the boron. Ideally would mix them into the top layer. I combine the inputs with earth worm castings and mix them in or top dress them.

Hope that helps. Any questions please ask.

FGL was recommended to me last year, and i used them again this year so i would have comparable results. i guess i like the graphs, they are easy to read but obviously i still had a bunch of questions. Like how do you tell if the nutrients are available?

I havent sent a sample to Logan labs, could do it this week though. Do you think it would be helpful, sounds like it...

I'm not sure how to tell... Last year i did have some issues with yellowing, i dont think it was N deficiency but really idk.

Keep an eye on them and apply N or can top dress 1/4 cup per yard of neem.
when you say keep an eye on them, what should i be looking for? and how would i apply N, other than topdressing with neem.

Looks like you have the normal excess of potassium, but it not available, same goes for calcium.
So what should i do about that?

Looks like boron levels are low.The 11 grams per yard of 20 mule team borax is normally max application rate. Take amending couple times to bring up the level of boron.
so I should add 11grams/yard of borax, twice? how long in between applications?

Best bet is getting the minerals in the soil, rather than trying to band aid your way to harvest by foliar spraying the plant nutritional supplements.

ok got it. So is there any way , based on those soil tests, that you can tell me what amendments to use and how much per yard? or do i need to get the Logan labs test.. Sorry if you already answered these question and i didnt know it, i still dont understand some of this stuff

Obviously im not leadsled, but I believe trace minerals are applied 1x per year at their max application rates. This is so you dont overdo it and gradually work your way toward balance over a few years.

Tilling in a nitrogen fixing cover crop 2 weeks before planting and keeping soil biology up seems to be the ideal way to manage N but is harder to achieve at first but can be self sustainable eventually. Yellow leaves half way down the plant with purple stems could indicate N deficiency.

I like to use-- A & L Western Agricultural Laboratories,& get a Graphical soil Analysis report, There graph seems better than the ones i have been seeing around here !!!

Like tessarecting said the cover crop really helps , I just use winter rye grass,I believe its more than just the nitrogen it helps with, I like to use mycorizzi on the cover crop, wettable powder , ,,& till cover crop in 2-3 weeks before ,, It really seems to make difference- faster, healthier, bigger plant, , But for sure use granular mycor you can get 20 lbs for 140- 150$ , from xtreem gardening ,, made by Rti , Pumpkin pro is the same thing !!
