yea I've seen failure stories but also seen some pretty successful ones that motivate me. definately stressful as hell sometimes, and takes the fun out of growing. its like fishing for a hobby and loving it, versus fishing commercially as a deckhand big difference in the fun factor. i remember how much simpler it was running a few bedrooms and a backyard, had way more time to actually live life and i swear i made just as much if not more back in those days.
im so numb to the bullshit now, i thought i would have a mental breakdown when all my spots stayed empty this year but honestly its toughened me up mentally and I've been getting more motivated than ever to come out swinging hard for 2016.
schrews looks like those plants have caught on, they got that nice bushy shape to them now. my seedlings went in a little taller than i wanted and still have to fill out the sides better. I'm not to happy with my garden right now its definately not as good as last years. forced late planting combined with heat wave and numerous replants and moves, my plants last year look twice as healthy and big.
yah the cali weed game is pretty stressful for everyone right now i think. Even the best growers and retailers getting robbed and raided like its open season out here, plus the money isn't clean, and laws changing every other year keeps you on your toes... And i wont get started about the work that already comes with farming / running a business by yourself.
yah i know some guys that crush it, i dont understand why they arent retired by now

it all gets hanged on remesh cages in the garage to dry. I can fit at least 200lb in there. still need to get a dehumidifier though. anyone know what's a good strong dehuey for a drying room?

haha thanks…I've been enjoying more free time lately with my lady and family, takin a few more weekends off than i did last year. but recently got into more political shit here in butte which is taking up any of the free time i had from not growing as much. still got one spot going that is pretty heavy workload so not all is lost. i had some good years but also some bad years, and the good years i spent most of the earnings reinvesting into the grows so i need to get those grows cracking for it all to pay off!
quest makes the best dehueys, DS garden supply in oakland has a good price on the 155 it retails for 2k but i got 4 of mine for 1500 each otd. i heard about the new climagrow one too they are a new company out of WA but they seem to know their shit.
and yes machine trimming will reign supreme this year. i have no time for any of the trim scene shenanigans that went on last year, and my labor/trim bill was through the roof. i could have bought 10 trim machines for the trim crew bill alone and honestly couldn't say that any of the customers really gave a shit about any difference they all wanted lower ticket over hand trim.

No machines here. Haha. I still have 3 totes that need to be trimmed! I'm so particular about trimming, I could never use a machine but I also get a higher ticket rate to make up for the 175/per lb cost. I know most around here pay 150 a pound, I do the extra 25 because I make my guys go the extra mile on manicuring. I fuckin hate the way machine trimmed bud looks, the same way I hate plants that arent thinned and cleaned up...Im just a nazi about appeal.

haha, havent thought about that. all i know is that my trim house turned into real world MTV last year, there was sex going down in almost every place i would hate to black light the rooms…
i might hand trim the big colas. its also about security and time. last year trim scene went well into december, and It was risky because at any time, especially with the new regulations, sheriff/code enforcement can pretty much drop by any day and raid the place. sitting on 100s of units being trimmed is not good. get it machined, sealed and sold/stashed asap. its not the way i prefer to do things but in this prohibition madness i care more about safety than impressing some snobby broker with hand trim nugs.
