Midwest Outdoors IV 2006 Season

Tons of rain and hail in Illinois/Wisconsin last night, more of the same today. Looks like my plants are going to be flooded for the second time in two weekd. I could cut them in the morning and get some bud, but they could be much better in a couple weeks.

Last time they were flooded, the bottom two branches on the smaller plants were under water, or in other terms, the water was about 10 inches deep. If never fails. Everytime I fertilized my plants, there was a heavy rain within 24 hours.

I can look at it as if the plants survive, they are very strong, or they've used some much energy to defend themselves from the hail, and or weather, thier strength is weakened.

Finally, maybe not the right thread, but my indoor plants had burning on the fan leaves again. They look sickly. It was the heat in my own judgement so I removed 4 23/100 watt CFL's from the 32 square foot cabinet. The toasted fan leaves won;t recover, but maybe the bud leaves won't burn.

Come on mom!(mother nature). There's only a few weeks left in the season and I need some buds....

PURE,

Damn you alright? Shit you must not be too close to me, we had a little wind and the temps went from high 80's down to the low 70's this afternoon but no rain or shit like that! Are your outdoor girls OK?

We don't need any of that this time of year!!!!!!

Good luck,
Nickel

We had a storm with hail too. The forest was also flooded by the river. My plants were in 3 foot deep water that I waded through. I cut what was abover water. The buds were not fully mature. The total in popcorn buds is about 4 ounces. I have garenders remorse, and will need to find a better location next spring.

I would grow above the trail, but the tree cover is pretty complete from what I can tell looking from the trail.

Yea, they just said we might have a killer frost Satuday in my area, and that AHxKM could probably go in to Nov....she has at least a few weeks left, not sure what to do either.

Great shots guys. Thats sucks you had to deal with hail at a time like this, Pure. Are your outdoor girls totaled now?

Rain and cold temps are supposed to come later this week. I'll have to go for a mold check next weekend, it may have to be harvest.

Speaking of harvest, i harvested my first couple branches and 2 small plants this weekend. One had a small amount of mold and the other was already cut by an animal and just laying there. The one laying there had a good smell of citrus. Mmmmmm.

A couple shots of the relatively bigger North Jam that was harvested. Has that great north jam smell, sort of a phresh sweet and tart phunk.

Was 79 here as well... buttttttttt... snow is in the forecast in a few days with a low of 29. I sure could use a few more weeks or so with some amnesia99. Will try to cover them and hope for the best.

im not worried about the 2days in the 30s :) as the next day after will be 55 to 60F so ya it will shock the plants but it wont stay shocked or frozen as the temps almost double in the day and you can always put a few sheets over them at night to keep them warm or make a greenhouse or something with plastic

Their pretty tough girls when they get to this stage. I'm going to try to go till last week of Oct. Like Pure said if it warms back up after 2 days they should be OK. I just hope the sun comes back and the rain goes away, I'm more worried about mold than the cold (up to a point at least).

It's supposed to cold and rainy here for the next 10 days. Sun forcasted only 2 days. And 27 overnight Thur-Fri.......I'm REALLY indecisive about what to do.

Picked 4 off this today and the trich are 50%.....man I'd like 2 more weeks!

yea i wouldnt take a chance with more then 2 days of cold temps and rains as you can only keep the plants covered so long less you build a make shift green house or something for them
