All the pic's and buds are real nice. I don;t have a cam so I don;t post pics, but I still have 3 plants in the ground somewhere in the Chicago area. Had a recent flood event but only the 2 bottom branches were unindated with flood water.

Rundown:

3 bagseed plants in forest. One plant is 7 feet tall. Two plants are 3-4 feet tall. I don't expect to bring them in for about a month. It seems they are not growing as well as last year. Maybe it's the moisture. Last year was drought, this year is wet.

Tonight the may get frosted, but as I recall the temps in a forest are slightly warmer than the temps in an open field thanks to the canopy. Tomarrow's the same weather, but after that it's getting back up into the 50's for night time temps. Can see how this year's plants can get any worse, so they're still in the ground.

I also have two 16 inch indoor plants that are looking good.

Hey CsfRaziel. They can stand temps down to like 28 degrees at night, don't chop just yet! Watch out for mold though.

Good to see another person overgrowin the chicago area. Welcome Facelift.

I can almost smell those Jamaican Jam by seein those budshots. What do you think about the smoke from the JJ buds from the other day? ....mmmmmm Hashberry looks delish too.

Thanks for the welcome, pipeline. It's only my 2nd outdoor season. 1st one yeilded one plant and about an ounce. This year is going much better. All my plants have a ton of crystals, just giving them more time to fill out.

I read that plants stop producing flowers if they are exposed to temps below 40 for 3-4 days in a row. I that's how long it takes the roots, which are generally warmer underground, to reach a cold enough temp toslow it down.

On the weather, It looks good in my area of the MW. Temps are low at night tonight, but there's a rebound on it's way with temps reaching the 80's starting Monday. In my opinion, your plants cant get any worse than they are now, so keeping them alive will only make the buds better.

Beautiful plants CsfRaziel !! Looks like the cool nights have been giving you some very nice colors. I bet that shit is gonna be damn tasty when its all said and done.

I hope everybody is trying to hold off on harvest if possible, 2 or 3 weeks could make a huge difference in your yield. I am nervously waiting , hopefully about 3 weeks depending on the weather. I did take about a 1/2 plant that was close to being done, I have made the mistake before of being greedy and waiting as long as possible, only to be ripped about 3 days before I was going to harvest. Now I always take a little early so if I get ripped its not a total loss. FUCKING RIPPERS!!! GROW YOUR OWN!!! Sorry I went on a tangent when I thought about FUCKING RIPPERS!!!! Sorry it happened again.

Oh yea, rippers sucka alot!

I had a little for fun project where I stuck a bunch of seeds in the dirt on July 10th, ended up with some nice looking plants between 2-3 feet tall, started flowering at the begining of septemeber.I believe out of like 13 their was three males, and I tied the rest apart. Regardless, they aren't their now.

Seems (almost) every ripper doesn't put much thought in to ripping, taking plants while they are still veging, or 2 weeks in to budding. Oh well, tats sum super uber potent fan leaf yo!!!! :pointlaug

I had a friend who had an 8ft tall afghani, along with another sativa get ripped the first week of August..... :moon:

Oh Nickel Bag, see what you've started!

Anywyas, I'm hoping I can get as long as possible out of this season, I think my Arjans Haze x Kalimist will need it.

I'll add a little more color first is Powerhouse. I think I got the Deep Chunk Pheno fan leaves were huge the plant was huge but there wasn't that much bud but what was there was rock hard. Can't tell you how she tastes have to wait atleast a month yet but it smelled really skunky.

Next is a pic of BOG's Sweet Cindy 99 the buds are turning purple this one just shows a hint but there are others that are almost all purple. She's got probley 2 more weeks trichs are getting cloudy but what was also neat was the leaves in the scope looked green and the trichs were purple.

ahh the good ol rippers dont like ol PureSativa :), seems i spend to much time around my grow and catch them while in the act and hit em wit logs ahaha!

Looking good my friends looking dam good!

i went to see my plants the other day with my bro and i must say they are smelling good as hell! but very little bud, im going to let them ago as long as i can possible but when the time comes the time has come and there isnt much i can do for them!

this is what led to me bring all my plants outside in buckets indoors to grow and give me some bud as this year outside for me isnt going so smoothly, but i believe a few more weeks will give me some decent buds! and i need to get pics of them as ive been slacking!

the buds that are on the plant are probably 3 to 4weeks and some of my plants like the one Jamaican Jam and Swazi have been flowering for the longest time and are pretty dam solid and looking great! but i must say they do smell really good, some spicey, some fruity, some straight skunk, some i cant even really begin to explain what it smells like but its dam good! :D

Have a great rest of the season on with the dawg days of October!

My season is over... I haven't really decided how to feel about that yet. Both plants were cut at maturity and not because of my impatience. I waited until +80% of the trichs had turned cloudy (how I like it). It seems like I was a little ahead of about everyone else on this thread from the git-go. I don't know the reasoning for it, a buddy is growing some of the same seeds and still has another 2-3 weeks on his plats, and he lives 150-200 mi north of me...
Well here she is...I figure that between the two of them I'll get 4.5-6 oz's. I've never grown either strain so I don't know how the buds will finish out when dry. My guess is that they are both going to be relatively dense :joint:

The frost is holding off here in the north central us. I offer plant pics...good luck to all of you.

Looks like I will have some pictures at harvest. I'm not going to bother with in progress shots for now. My nephew says he can take snaps with his camera phone and send them to my email box, so I figure it's best to wait until the harvest instead of showing my nephew where my plants are hidden.

I went to feed the plants on Saturday and right after they were fed, there was a downpour so I went back again today and gave them another shot fo some ferts and kayro corn syrup, and for once it didnt rain afterwards.

There was another broken branch that I took off and it smoked pretty well. Definately a heady high and not to strong. I was squinting all day. I hope this plant finishes by spring. It should turn out to be pretty strong if the tric's get to change to amber.

Looks like the MW is in for some great weather this week, 70's and 80's! I noticed that in one day of 75 degree weather after a few days of cool weather, the buds thickened up. The plant is also reaching 8 feet. The other two, one has a candy aroma to it are still under 4 feet, but the cola's are a good 2 feet.

Keep them plants in the ground!

The midwest is growin some beautiful buds this year. Nice shots everyone. The last couple weeks of flowering is when much of the yield will come. Relax....
