The hacking of the first cycle has begun.

in a week or so the weights per plant will be figured out.

I will use more soil in all future grows because these first girls all were in less than 2 gallons of soil and still look to do decent. I am trying to get to that 2 ounce per plant mark so a medical marijuana patient would only need 8 flowering plants to grow a pound of marijuana for whatever medicinal needs they might have.

All current girls in flower are in full 2 gallon grow bags whether in the pro mix or the previous cocorok mix which have grown great however have been a bit more hungry than I am used to with coco mixes. I think a more soil based mix and then into my super soil mixes will end up best for these LED grow lights and my meds in general.

I still have alot of strains to prove out, test and locate my keeper phenotypes and am excited to get into the 2013 cycles and see how I improve my grows.

My Friend:

What you are doing for the LED community is beyond reproach!!! I seriously mean that. Not only have you taken it upon yourself to test out these new panels without knowing how they would work but you have also gone and tested a great many variety of different strains as well.

Now, I would be a fool to say that you do not have ulterior motives for doing this but the fact remains that because of your tireless testing and immaculate journal keeping, all of us are heads and shoulders further along with knowledge..........all thanks to you!!!!!!

If there is ever anything I can do for you brother........please do not hesitate to ask!

I still have a ton of strains yet to test but excited to start a fresh 2013 grow season. I hope to get through a ton of these strains and locate whatever keepers are worth keeping around the garden.

Its great to test gear, beans and anything else for that matter and see how it grows. Vendors love it as do fellow growers including myself.

2013 will be the year of the LED I can feel it and with all the diy panels being built ( including yours btw ) there will be a TON of testing going on and excited to see what sort of yields we can all pull in.

General Updates:

My new ph meter came in WOOHOO, my old one finally was too annoying to work with any more. I had a regular ph pen and was sick of almost dropping that thing in my watering jugs and finally got a meter with a drop in probe and MAN is it night and day as far as ph metering.

various stages of growth
attachment.php

For those still running with a cheap ph pen and find them somewhat irritating, stop wasting your time and get yourself one with a probe whether on a cord or stick version. It is more than worth the switch.

some of these girls are getting HUGE
attachment.php

I up potted the different jedi kush and jackpot royale phenotypes that were sitting in veg and now are going to be tossed under the different flower panels either tonight or tomorrow night. With 20+ girls just chopped from my flower cabs it was looking a bit empty and since I am running this perpetual style, adding another 8-10 girls every couple weeks will keep the flower cycles moving along and new meds being cut down every 2/3 weeks.

I am currently testing the pro mix hp right now. I already tried out the 707 mix and the cocorok mix and next will be some fox farms ocean forest. Now with the FFOF, I have grown with it in the past but wanted to see if it has changed in the last few years since I ran it and if it did I want to see if it got better or worse.

A few more days and dry weight per plant will be known and I can see which panel I want to use for my grow test using the Jackpot Royale #4 clones and hoping to dial in 8 of them in 2 gallon bags and see if I can pull an eLBow of a single panel or not. I am thinking it will be a toss up between panel #1, #3 and #5 and the #2 and #4 a bit behind the rest. That is just from my initial thoughts though but until I get some gram totals, it is only a guess.

the 2nd cycle packing on weight
attachment.php

I have a ton of different strains running in veg and soon to be in flower including the Casey's Cousin x Sour Diesel IBL from Poison Genetics as well as some more LBK and KH from Field Marshall Seeds as well as some White Rhino, Old Time Moonshine and Cheesedog. There are also some Aardvarks Mix clones from the current flowering Aardvarks Mix that will flower out once I see them as keepers or cullers. If they are keepers, they get a clone cut and then flowered out, if they are cullers then they just get up potted and flowered out for the last time. I don't kill females in veg unless I ended up over my plant count ( never happens but if it did that would be the only reason why I would cull a perfectly growable female ) or if it wasn't proven and its flowering counterpart turned hermie or just a terrible pheno yield or flowering out wise. Some girls can just look weak compared to the rest but even those are rare.

Casey's Cousin x Sour Diesel IBL, Lady Berry Kush, Kushy Haze, White Rhino, Old Time Moonshine and the Cheesedog veggin
attachment.php

With just two of the Jackpot Royale #4 keeper phenos in veg it will take me a second to get 8 clones cut and vegged but once they are ready that grow will have its own updates because it will be a test all its own. I hope to see some of the more recent strains I am growing prove out well in flower yield wise so I can add them to my single panel single strain tests also.

more pics of the Poison Genetics and Field Marshall Seeds strains vegging under the all blu led panels

Kushy haze,,, yikes, looks gooodd man.

Yes the Kushy Haze and Lady Berry Kush from Field Marshall Seeds is some killer smoke. I can't wait to see what sort of yields I can get from them under these LEDs.

I have plenty in veg as far as clones of the KH and LBK go so they won't be leaving my garden anytime soon

I have decided to use 8 girls in veg for my pounder test

I have decided to use 8 girls in veg for my pounder test

I have 10 different vegging girls that were the clone version of the first cycle that just finished. All of them did decent ( in the 1-2 ounce per plant range estimated so far ) but I know what improvements will be needed to make sure to get them all OVER 2 ounces per plant.

attachment.php

I think I will be using flower light #3 or #4 but still not sure but once ironed out, you all here at icmag will be the first to know.

attachment.php

I was going to start this once I had 8 clones grow out a bit of the Jackpot Royale #4 which is my favorite so far out of the bunch AND the only clone of the first cycle that I am actually going to keep BUT I want to get these grow shows a moving so I can get to the next strains in the garden which I think will be a ton of fun sorting through to locate new keeper females to add to my mother tent.

attachment.php

They were kept in party cups and just up potted so they were damn happy to finally get a chance to stretch their legs a bit. They needed to be up potted anyways so this will work out perfectly. I am going to let them veg for a couple weeks and then under one of the panels they go. I will pick the best 8 out of the 10 in this bunch and excited to see the results :woohoo:

Peace, HJ.

I don't know the spectrums of the panels. I am doing blind grow tests for these panels. I just have them labeled by light # from 1-5. The grow tests are helping growblu further iron out the spectrums used in their veg and flower panels.

I will be posting my per plant yield results as well as which panel did best as well as comment on which one I liked best overall. I still have a ton of other stuff growing on and a lot more pics and videos to come.

There will be some vertical grows, some on light movers, micro grows and a few other surprises if all grows well.

I am liking the drying bud shot pics as well but with the moisture in the air lately I am checking on them more and more to make sure they are not drying too fast and more importantly not too slow either.

After I get their weights in the jars they will go minus the meds I will be using for edibles and other medible extracts.

I can't wait to see how the Casey's Cousin x Sour Diesel IBL does in flower. I hope to find some solid keeper girls out of those beans FINGERS CROSSED!!!

Alright, its been a busy week. I am almost done trimming and final drying and will be getting final numbers etc from the first cycle and once done will be posting the results. Now I know I didn't hit that 2 zip per plant mark this first cycle but know what I can do to improve my yields including using higher yielding strains, grown from clone and not seed as well as using 2 gallon+ grow bags as this first cycle was a bit over a gallon and a half I believe once I pulled the root balls out.

growth shots of newer cycles
attachment.php

Overall I am pretty happy with the meds themselves and think that if I get 8 girls under each panel I can get that pound mark but right now my grams per plant seems to be floating in the 1.5 to 1.75 mark which excites me because I know that can be increased just by using better phenotypes like the jackpot royale #4 for example as long as there is enough room for the roots to get growin.

attachment.php

keeper aardvark mix pheno starting to bulk up
attachment.php

Now onto the next cycles, I have a ton of pics/vids of them as well which seem to all be doing great. They are more hungry in the cocorok mix compared to the first cycle which was in the 707 soil mix. Overall I wasn't that happy with the cocorok just due to the way I water. If I was in an auto garden it would do great with multiple auto waterings daily.

lady berry kush up front, aardvark mix in back right and new cycles to the left
attachment.php

The 3rd and 4th cycles are in the pro mix hp and are doing GREAT, now they tend to dry up pretty fast but with daily hand watering it seems to work out just fine. Once this batch runs dry I will then test out the FFOF and perlite mix and see how that does under the LEDs as well.

here is another shot of an lbk and some other girls which are under the #1 light
attachment.php

The Lady Berry Kush and Kushy Haze which happen to be in the 2nd cycle are doing solid and now starting to thicken up. I have a good amount of lbk clones in veg right now that are going to be up potted and stuff under one of the led panels wherever a free spot is found.

I am really loving the perpetual garden setup. As these cycles start cycling, things will just start running like clockwork. I am getting some of the Jackpot Royale #4's cloned so I can have a whole mess of those ready to flower as well.

The Poison Genetics girls are all growing great in veg, they too are about to be up potted and then tossed into flower to get sexed. I will either put them back in veg to finish vegging OR top them and keep them in flower to see which phenos will be worth cutting and keeping clones of. I am hoping to find plenty of keepers out of the Casey's Cousin x Sour Diesel IBL.

Hells yeah MM. That's what's up man. I'm in the process of trying to get a perpetual as well I popped a bunch of different strain which in my opinion might of Been a little crazy. I got too excited and like. Kept wanting to pop more and more beans of like all the strains I been wanting to try. So bottom line it's prolly gonna take a little while before I get to flower anything. I won't make the mistake of flowering seed crops. I'm only only gonna do clones after I get them sexed so far I found one male of the actual 1 strain I really wanted a fem of. A KKSC/SD IBL (rez) x original Diesel (cali connection). But have another as well that might be a male as well I really hope not :-(. So I decide to pop one of my last strawberry diesel f2 (Ganesh fractal ).

So that's besides. The FMS gear I got going

The Ladyberry. , ChemKush x bubba/molakai frost. , the coastal collision f2(can't wait ). So I'm def trying to get on the same page as you. With the perp setup. I wanna try to get over 2-3oz a plant. Would def be nice if its possible. Might not be with the lights I got. Only a 400w and and extra 250w. So about 650w total. Plus I could throw in a few 42w CFLs to add the total lumen output What you think. Possible ? I mean I'm sure anythinga possible with optimal conditions. High yielding strain/pheno All that good shit scrog etc. you think I could pull it off anyway I'm going to toss up some veg picks of the FMS stuff I got going in a few days soon as I transplant into 3gal smart pots

Always looking good MM for real. I'm always in here daily checking for updates :)

Always looking good MM for real. I'm always in here daily checking for updates :)

I used to pop way too many seeds at once to. It is exciting to get new beans and want to see what they can produce for sure. Now the key is to leave yourself a couple beans per strain to save for later germination in case you forget to keep a keeper female of the strain.

I wish I would have done that and followed my own advice with strains that I lost like my federation romulan or my old paradise seeds sensi star for example.

update pic
attachment.php

Just don't rush through selecting your phenotypes and do your best to wait until they are done growing, harvested and you test smoked them. Now some just won't grow in the style that you want or might not produce enough so no matter how it smoked, you know it isn't for you and with those by all means hack them BUT remember that many lower yielders produce some POTENT smoke.

Perpetual really is a great way to grow especially if you smoke a decent amount or always need more meds on hand for whatever reason.

I just can't stand doing a 60 day flowering cycle and then starting a new one then having to wait another 60 days for the next cycle to finish.

With perpetual, I will get new harvests every 2-4 weeks depending on the strain. The only issue is feeding the different stages at the same time, with organic it will be easier but even now with a form of lucas formula it hasn't been too difficult.

Some feed heavier than others but that just comes with the territory when running multiple strains at once especially from seed. I love seed runs but yes getting the clones from the proven seed grown female does work best. I also like to keep the seed grown version in veg and what I take clones off of and never flower out the seed version.

It really all depends on the situation though.

Here is an LBK girl
attachment.php

Now on your yield question. I am doing under 2 ounces a plant right now but I know it is possible to improve on that with minor tweaks to a grow. The panels I am growing under are under 400 watts running so I think what you have wattage wise should be more than possible.

Locate the right strain, give her some veg time and let her grow.

OOOOOOOOOO..........that Kushy Haze is one hairy lady!! ;) Must have some European genes in her...ahahahah...(sorry ladies reading this, I know I can be crude at times).....

Yes that kushy haze is a longer runner but I loved the smoke the last time I grew her. These put out some long bud sticks though and look great in grow shots as they fill out.

I agree on the shooting, terrible stuff and hard to realize what some people are actually capable of. Right before christmas too, not that this holiday is worth anything in the grand scheme of things but each xmas from here on out for those families and friends is going to be damn difficult.

The moral compass of our country is just off right now. People need to get back to helping out their fellow man without waiting for someone else or some group or organization to do it for them.

Just watching black friday videos and how materialistic everything is nowadays and it will only get worse unless something changes.

Its just sad to see humans do such disgusting acts, if anything go off and blow away adults if you are going to do it. Leave kids alone you sick fucks!!!

I hope your holidays are going great as well brother. 2013 is going to be an amazing year and I want to do my best to spread positive karma around as much as I can. There really is alot that a single person can do to affect change and in a good way.

some are doing fine, others need more for sure.

On some I am doing some Micro Bloom and Grow in flower to avoid lightening up but yes I agree that the lucas is not for all strains no doubt.

It works great for most of flower but some tweaks are needed for some plants around week 5+
