Shots from this morning ( midnight / 1am )

I took some pics of the next batches currently under the different led grow lights.

Here are the girls under the #4 flower light ( jedi kush and jackpot royale clones ) that I am trying to get 2+ ounces per plant with. All of these girls went in on the same day SO they will finish around the same time so I can get a full weight per panel this run.

attachment.php

Here is a shot of the lower growth of the girls under #4
attachment.php

This is one of the keeper phenos that I will keep clones of. I like how she is growing AND like the jackpot royale #4's, faster to finish than the rest in the bunch.

attachment.php

Here is a lower growth shot from the above plant
attachment.php

I will be changing up my setup a bit for 2013 so stay tuned for the updates. I hope everyone had a great xmas and soon will have a SAFE new years.

I see new castle and johnny walker in my near future followed up with some jedi kush and jackpot royale hash for new years eve.

Do you feel like you're getting above average under growth, and do you attribute this to certain LED models you are testing? Next question would obviously be which ones?!

That is exactly why I am putting 8-10 plants under each panel at a time from now on so I can start getting overall panel yields to start ironing out further which is performing best.

attachment.php

As far as lower growth, the #2 and #3 panels seem to get the most penetration overall from what I am seeing growing with them so far but yield wise the first cycle told me something else SO more grows will be done to see which ends up killin it overall spectrum wise.

attachment.php

As far as panel "style" goes, the 3 different types that I have tested in flower have done great so far. I haven't had any gripes or complaints about the fit n finish of any of the flowering panels so far and think it is smart for companies to offer multiple types so growers can select the style that they dig best. I do however think spectrum should come above the color or fit n finish of the exterior but I do think the fit n finish can sometimes dictate the quality of the innards of a panel as well.

attachment.php

I think the penetration differences comes with the different led diode angles within each different manufacturer and the panels themselves offering different spectra options overall. Many things can come into play and is exactly what I love about playing with LEDs, there are just so many damn options it can blow your mind.

Took some shots this AM

Took some shots this AM

I got some shots taken, these girls are thickening up decently. I had some humidity issues with the weather change but the girls seem to be doing great overall.

attachment.php

I see a few keepers and others that won't be ran again and a few in the middle that will come down to potency.

attachment.php

Overall I have found the Jackpot Royale #4, Aardvarks Mix #31 and Aardvarks Mix #9 within the first 2 cycles and hope with the new girls going in there will be plenty of new keepers to be found as well.

attachment.php

I have decided to put in 8-10 plants per panel at a time to allow for full panel yield totals ( as written about previously ) and I will odds are be starting a new thread for 2013 as there have been plenty of changes from the first post to where my grows are now plus this is my 2012 journal.

attachment.php

I hope everyone had a blast following along so far and once the new thread goes up I will post a link from my first and last posts here with a link to the new thread.

attachment.php

Heres to a great new years to everyone out there!

Marijuana LED Flower Updates

Marijuana LED Flower Updates

Here are some update shots from this morning before lights shut off.

This one got some light burn from one of the panels. It lets me know how powerful these things really are LOL. BTW this is my latest keeper find, this is my chunky pheno that will easily do 2+ ounces per plant.

attachment.php

Here are the jedi kush and jackpot royale clones unders the #4 flower panel. Doing great and hairs are starting to come on.

attachment.php

and closer up
attachment.php

here is my first keeper on the left which is the aardvarks mix #31 next to a really killer kushy haze on the right.

attachment.php

closer shot of the keeper shown in the above shot. This one smells like a type of candy I just can't place yet. This one is going into my pollen chucking efforts of 2013 I can tell you that.

The Casey's Cousin x Sour Diesel IBL, OTM, White Rhino and Cheesedog are growing great in veg as well as the lady berry kush, kushy haze and the different aardvark mix keepers I have as hold backs.

attachment.php

I still have a couple jackpot royale #4 clones that I will be getting 10-12 cuts of to toss under the #2 panel and see how they do.

attachment.php

I can't wait to start running all the keeper clones once all these seed runs are finalized.

I have LED bleaching on one of my Qush's. It's pretty cool looking

Totally agree on the coloring. Overall taking pictures is a ton more fun while growing under leds than hps or mh I have to say. I wasn't expecting any light burn but it actually made me realize how far leds have come in the last couple years.

I have checked out your youtube channel and you have a lot of great stuff going on over there brother.

GENERAL UPDATES

I will be starting a 2013 grow journal but will odds are do so in the actual led section of the forum versus in this general section so it is more specific to others wanting to check out led grows.

Once I setup the new thread I will post a link in my last post here as well as in my signature file so anyone wanting to continue following along in 2013 can do so.

Yep, GOOD LEDs are pretty insane now. Making dank ass buds. Your setup is pretty impressive as far as # of lights! Must be outputting a ton of watts.

2013 is going to be my breakout year. I plan on getting a 3000-5000w California Lightworks / Lumigrow room setup. Funds are ready to go.

I am probably going to stop doing grow diaries here on ICmag and just stick to the Youtube stuff in 2013. I get a lot more pleasure out of making videos now.

Keep it green man and keep rocking the LEDs.

Sounds great and agree youtube is a ton of fun. I have had a channel on there since last year but never added anything to it yet. In 2013 I too will be doing the same ( I have an aardvark channel ) but still going to do grow journals here.

attachment.php

3k+ in LEDs is going to kill it! I am not running anything near that yet BUT the yields I have gotten so far have me pretty damn impressed however focused on improving the quality of the end meds and yields overall.

attachment.php

2013 is the year of the LED my brother. Hit me up once you go fully youtube on us here brother so I can still keep up to date on your big wattage led grow.

2012 was a great growing year but I think 2013 is going to be HUGE for everyone especially in the now legal states ( congrats btw to the states that WOKE UP ). I will also start adding videos to my own youtube channel including non led related grow stuff including DIY stuff like my 5 gallon refillable carbon scrubber for example.

I hope everyone had a great christmas and new years and am sending positive growers karma to everyone reading!

I hope to make the 2013 thread the best one yet and will let you know when it goes live :artist:

I once again thank you for the nice words brother. It is a ton of work to keep a journal up but man is it fun to share with fellow growers and marijuana enthusiasts around the world and get their thoughts, opinions and suggestions.

GENERAL UPDATES:

In 2013 there will be a ton going on in my various grow areas and now that more and more keeper females are being located the yields will continue to get better.

I am fascinated by the idea of vertical led grow using a panel but the point of vertical doing well with a hps is its ability to be a 360 degree light whereas leds are directional and very limited on their spread overall. I wonder if a single panel vertical would make sense facing towards the plants or if it would be best to put the panels in the middle surrounded by plants...

Anyone with a vert led grow documented anywhere?

Your grow is the most amazing LED to this date I think. Which brand did you think did best?? Blue LED or ??

Hope you get a nice growing year.

Best vibes

Thank you for the compliment but the panels and the plants did all the work. Growblu actually did all of these panels in custom spectrums. I would head over to growblu.com for more info on them.

As far as which spectrum did best, I am still working on that in 2013 but they keep updating their spectrum options etc based on current grower reviews and tests etc.

It´s always nice to get good adverses, but haven´t seen such a nice setup, and the blue led lamp has full spectrum. HGL is the only other brand, and their panels is over estimated I think. But please send me a pm with links, cause have been looking into your links, and it seems to my the blue led comp. is deff. doing the right thing when it comes to the full spectrum thing. I also like the solar flare with the build in UVb tube. then there is the Hans LED from the netherlands, also ok, but think the buds seems small, again he is only pulling 140 watt or something, then one have to know that in his mind LED should be something which can be done with the lowest watt possible, and he get´s good results. Havén´t been much into lumi, also think they are a bit overprice.
