6/9 aint workin for 5 outta 6 strains. Have ya ever used fish emulsion in coco?

what is your ph like?

coco and 6/9 can have issues depending on water quality. Having 5 out of 6 not like it really would make me want to look for another nute program to run or just run clones of the one that does like the feed.

attachment.php

Another thing is to bump up or down the ph and see how the new growth reacts. Doing these tests however are somewhat hard to track because it won't be a 24 turn around and might take up to a week to see the results of the changes or tweaks made.

I haven't tested fish emulsion in coco and 2013 will be mostly if not all 100% organic and I think coco would be a great medium addition to a super soil mix. I am getting my worm bins, rabbits and other home grown fertilizer options together so I can be more self sufficient with my grows. Later I hope to get some aquaponics going so I can feed all my girls with the pond water and get that recirculating back into the fish tanks BUT that is all in the future but something I am shooting for.

I am ready to give up the bottle, bottled nutes that is lol. The lucas formula is just easy, works most of the time and it is pretty cheap to run. I have done it with maxibloom as well when I was running larger vertical stadium grows on light movers BUT even still I want to move towards a completely organic soil mix as well as aquaponic system later.

i drift the ph from 5.8 to 6.2.....i just fed with 7/9 lucas an bumped up the cal/mg from 4 ml a gallon to 5 ml. im hoping the added N will help with the foliar Magic Green so i dont have to use the fish emulsion yet in the medium.....might still foliar with fish emulsion alternating between the magic green.

Sounds about right, I do the ph drift as well but go 5.5 to 6.5 but usually not as high as 6.5 but more in the 6.3 to 6.4 area. I look at the uptake ph like the led wavelengths and how allowing them to enjoy all of the peak uptakes ph wise to be beneficial to the plant versus a stationary ph.

I have some cal/mg but haven't put it in. I have a ton of bottled nutes that I need to run through so I can move onto my super soil mixes. I just can't throw them away, its like the last pack of cigarettes you smoke before quitting and even though you know you are quitting you still need to finish em versus tossin them in the trash

here is my "grow a pound under one panel" group shot which consists of jedi kush and jackpot royale clones

I hope that 2013 will allow me to only water with water and organic teas and hope to continue improving my grows by locating solid keeper females worth rerunning and keeping around the garden for awhile.

attachment.php

I think I have found another keeper or two but can't tell until they are done ( they are in the 2nd and 3rd cycles ) but hope to locate at least one or two keepers per cycle and then run all the "keepers" and then thin the herd to the best of the best. I want to have heavy yielders as well as locating certain smells and flavors and as usual potency is very importante'

here is a lady berry kush and some other girls in different stages of growth
attachment.php

I am wondering if 8 plants under each panel in 2 gallons is as optimized as it can be. I want to test out a couple setups using 8-12 plants under each panel and see what the max spread of these panels might be. Now these would be more sog style or a ton of lollipopped tops and have lower leaf thinned way the hell down.

If anyone has suggestions on strains that have grown well for you under LEDs by all means post them up. Also anyone who is currently growing with leds and want to post up led porn by all means do so.

I hope everyone is having a solid holiday season and spreading some positive growers karma to as many as possible

I will be posting the grams per plant as well as which panel did best among other answers to common questions I keep getting in pms. The jedi kush and jackpot royale smokes well so far, still awaiting more jar curing before giving an actual smoke report though.

On another note I found a pheno of one of the girls currently growing under flower light #3 that looks to be the largest yielder out of anything currently growing SO I will be getting some of those clones cut and growing up. Not sure on its medicinal qualities yet BUT yields do matter as well and having decent yielders never hurts especially if you keep running out of meds while running elite or so called keeper strains ( which I don't get because I would think a keeper would yield well also ).

Alright got the harvest pics video put together

[YOUTUBEIF]NIuiy0__GEI[/YOUTUBEIF]

The grams per plant results are posted in the video description as well as shown in the video itself as well as pics of the girls getting weighed.
attachment.php

Overall there are a few phenos I like of the jackpot royale as well as the jedi kush BUT I am only going to be keeping only a single keeper unless there really are two that are in a class all their own potency wise which I won't really know until a couple week cure at minimum.
attachment.php

I have a couple chunky girls growing in the different tents currently that look really promising and I will odds are get a good 8-12 each of those going and see about getting to that eLBow per panel I hope to achieve in my 2013 grows and hoping all grows well and I can achieve that goal sooner rather than later.
attachment.php

I have alot of new video and pic updates including the new additions including poison genetics Casey's Cousin x Sour Diesel IBL as well as some new pics of the kushy haze and lady berry kush which will be starting their countdown towards their chop in the next couple weeks as well.
attachment.php

It's crazy how fast things go when you grow perpetual but it really does keep things truckin along without any big lag in between harvesting.

Peace, HJ.

I am happy the first cycle is cut, hung and done myself! It went by faster than I realized but now I have another 3+ cycles currently in flower on their way to finishing as well which include the LBK, KH and many other girls.

The results will be posted here along with more update shots, vids etc. Actually I will just copy/paste the description below
Well the first cycle has finished and I have to say I am more than pleased with the results that I have gotten so far with the LED grow lights. I can totally see what improvements are needed to really optimize each plant to get to that 2+ ounce goal that I am hoping to achieve.

Here are the totals for the first cycle

attachment.php

LED Grow Light #1
1 50.8 grams ( jackpot royale )
2 46.0 grams ( jackpot royale )
3 44.2 grams ( jedi kush )
4 41.4 grams ( jedi kush )

attachment.php

LED Grow Light #2
1 49.3 grams ( jackpot royale )
2 46.1 grams ( jackpot royale )
3 42.7 grams ( jedi kush )
4 41.0 grams ( jackpot royale )
5 38.4 grams ( jedi kush )

attachment.php

LED Grow Light #3
1 49.5 grams ( jackpot royale )
2 48.7 grams ( jackpot royale )
3 44.4 grams ( jackpot royale )
4 31.3 grams ( jedi kush )

attachment.php

LED Grow Light #4
1 46.9 grams ( jedi kush )
2 43.9 grams ( jedi kush )
3 42.4 grams ( jackpot royale )
4 36.4 grams ( jackpot royale )

attachment.php

LED Grow Light #5
1 56.8 grams ( jackpot royale )
2 47.5 grams ( jedi kush )
3 45.0 grams ( jedi kush )
4 41.1 grams ( jackpot royale )

nice numbers there MM, is it me or do all those nugs have the same shade of color to them. Is this an led thing or lighting ya took the pics in. looks killer either way.

The jedi kush and the jackpot royale strains look pretty similar once dried. I was expecting some color with the jackpot royale with some of the phenos but even my keeper pheno (jr#4) that too was a common green pheno. I was hoping to get some purp phenos but it wasn't meant to be this go around apparently.

There were only a few phenos but since the chemmy jones and blackwater didn't make it all the way to the end of the race it only left me with 2 strains to work with. Either way I am happy for the first cycle to be done and excited to see how the rest of the strains come out especially the "clone" versions of this first cycle which are growing under led light #4 currently ( all the jedi and jackpot royale phenos ).

The leds have always been hard to take pics with whether it was around the blue, reds or purple colors. I usually have to adjust the lighting of the camera lighter/darker depending on how they come out. Flower was the hardest to get "natural" pictures of but as the cycles continue I see my pic taking abilities to get better or so I hope.

Thank you for the kind words brother.

They were 't scrogged but all lower growth as in smaller buds gets hacked, chopped and tossed in my compost bins. Size wise on the nugs that made it to the "weighing" they are in the 1 g to 3g range as far as nug size goes. I did have some larger nugs but I always cut those down to size anyways as I don't need any foot long nugs attempting to get into mason jars lol.

It is a start for sure but there is more room to improve obviously and am excited to get working towards it. I do agree that getting 2 zips per plant is more than doable but the problem is trying to figure out how many girls to run. I am debating between running 6,8,10 or 12 plants per panel.

More test runs to be done and hope to locate some killer phenos in the next strains on deck. I have one mix pheno that I am in love with that looks to be finishing in the next couple weeks and is faster than the rest of the phenos just like the jackpot royale #4 was with this first cycle.

GENERAL UPDATES

The up potting and sexing of the caseys cousin x sour diesel ibl, cheesedog, old time moonshine and white rhino is right around the corner. They are vegging under veg light #1, #2, #3 and #4 perfectly and more importantly HAPPILY.

I got some stretch in some of the strains which is normal for seed ran strains. You can notice this by seeing one of the seed ran jackpot royale or jedi kush's versus its cloned counterpart. Internode distance is drastically different and should be noted for anyone worried about node distance with seed ran pheno's.

I think the prop mix hp did or is doing great overall. It does dry up faster than the other mixes I have ran which is both good and bad. The cocorok showed plenty of deficiencies which tripped me out for a bit but I worked passed them. Some phenos just ate more than others and overall I see them running better in a soil or soil less mix versus a coco blend.

I hope everyone has a happy holidays and a safe new years!

Micro LED Grow Lights

Here are the newer micro led grow lights that I am running as well. I have tested all of these over aeroponic cloners as well as in veg areas and they all did GREAT. Now these panels can only offer so much spread and penetration but perfect for small cabs and micro grows for sure.

I was happy with the uniformity of the buds myself actually. What I am noticing with leds is since I have a ton less heat issues compared to my previous hps grows I am not stressing the girls out as much as I used to.

With my 600 and 1k I usually put them a tad close to my girls more times than I wanted which resulted in some negative results obviously and with the cooler runner leds, my pothead mistakes are not as intensified ( if that makes any damn sense haha ).

The next cycle to come down got the "bending/snapping" done to them and each cycle I will be playing around with different lst methods to see what works best with leds.

I am itchin to get a grow light mover setup running one or more of these panels but I need to get a few cycles through first before I go into light movers and vertical setups as I need to locate my keeper strains which I hope to be done with in the next 6 months.

Oh also, I want to get some aeroponic and then aquaponic led grows going as well. Now the fish part will take a minute for me to get going BUT I thought by starting with aero, it will be easy to make the transition into aqua since I have a design ironed out to allow for the change further down the road.

here is another first cycle shot I wanted to post
attachment.php

I hope to get to where I don't need any medium for the most part and can use rabbit, fish, worm and other organic material within the "pond water" itself to be a self sufficient grow system.

Now I haven't seen many aquaponic marijuana setups that have worked but I think the key is doing a 5 gallon per plant aquaponic bell syphon style of setup where each bucket fills/drains independent of the rest. In my head it works GREAT :woohoo:

Wow just found this awesome LED thread and hafta tag it before I lose it. Thanks for your hard work here!

well thank you for the Kindest words

The plants are doing all the work, I am just here for moral support and late night booty calls.

GENERAL UPDATES:

Alright I have some shots I took tonight of the casey's cousin x sour diesel ibl, otm, cheesedog and the white rhino in veg and a few other shots worth posting that I tossed within this post.

attachment.php

I need to raise my humidity a bit since the temp change but other than that all is well.
attachment.php

veg is growin great and can't wait to finish the up pots and get these sexed so I can cull the males and get moving towards locating keeper females within the different strains.
attachment.php

Does anyone have any suggestions on strains to test out under these panels that will yield well? I am looking for quick and possibly purple so I can see how some colorful bud grows under these panels. The blackwater didn't pan out and I thought the jackpot royale was going to toss out some colors as well BUT nope just green.

I am not really a fan of purple BUT I do want to grow some under the leds plus I want to see how the pictures come out with purple leaves and buds versus green ones. I need strains from seed though as I am not a clone guy anymore due to the pests, bugs and bullshit that usually comes with them...

Also does anyone have any nute suggestions to try out or soil soil less mixes? I will be getting my organic super soils in max production soon enough but I love testing out the different bottled options as well just so I have a basis for my opinions on them versus just repeating shit I hear online lol.

Any certain nute mix working great for you and feel I should give it a shot? Post it up for all to see

Update Shots From Tonight

Update Shots From Tonight

Here are some update shots from tonight. Below is the batch of jackpot royale and jedi kush that is under flower led light #4 and I am going to be putting 8-12 plants under each panel at the same time from here on out so I can start getting full panel yields when they are done while still being able to continue perpertual growing.

attachment.php

Here is the lbks and aardvark mix's
attachment.php

Here is one of my favorite girls about to finish and is one I will be adding to my list of keepers ( only in the list right now is this one and the jackpot royale #4 currently )
attachment.php

Here is another aardvark mix ( I had a TON of premie seeds that I had sitting around that didn't make my keeper pile and love running them to locate keepers )
attachment.php

The great thing is, I haven't hit my 2 ounces per plant goal yet but I think I know what it will take to get me there. Its pretty great to know that within a couple cycles you can really dial in a grow no matter what light is used. While I am new to led grow lights as far as growing with them I have been researching them for many years now and think that with companies like growblu out there as well as the many independent and diy experiments and tests growin on all over the world right now, I just can't wait to see what 2013 holds for all of us.

I want to see someone from icmag destroy the gpw records in the 250 watt, 400 watt and 600 watt categories. As far as the 1k watt category, there is ALOT of solid gpw totals out there and many have gotten that 1k dialed way the hell in and good luck competing with them. I would however love to see some of those insane growers test LEDs and see what they can do to maximize them and see what sort of yields they can pull. Interesting to say the least.

Anyone know who holds yield records in those categories currently? Man if they don't have that sort of guiness book of world records someone really needs to create one. One with a verified photography and harvest yield results judge to make sure everything is on the up n up. It doesn't need to be specific to leds obviously but would be really cool to see.

It would be sweet to see forum names, code names, nick names or whatever and then the strain, the style of grow, the wattage and overall grow info and then post the yield results, pics etc. Now I can see why some wouldn't want to be put in something like this but in the same breath I can see how many would love to be put in it.

We have cannabis cups etc so why not have a weigh off during them? Now that would be worth watching!

Us LED'ers are catching up fast but regardless, I'll put LED bud up against HID bud for quality. I know for a fact that my LED stuff is stronger had any HID stuff I've grown in the past and I'm talking about other places. At home this is only the 5th grow.

Medmasterled.........what do you think?? The LED stuff better than the HID??

Hope you have a happy and safe MERRY CHRISTMAS

Not sure really as they haven't been in the jars too long. I like to get a good 4+ week cure going before getting a feel for the potency BUT we will soon see.

I agree that prices can keep alot away BUT nothing in our scene is cheap overall. Its a fun hobby that comes with a price BUT pays for itself one way or another

I have grown with hps for plenty of years and want to try something new PLUS like I have said before I want to get into a solar power option and LEDs are perfect for that concept in 2013 yeahhhhh buddy
