attachment.php

nice.........week 7 huh?? I still can't believe that time went by that quickly....but thinking about it...yeah, it's been that long. Seems like a month ago that I was saying I lost my grandmother but that was Aug 11th.....:(

Time is coming close to start thinking about flushing I would think.. I don't know about the strains you're running so I don't know their flowering times. I don't really go by time. I look at the trichomes and judge from there. The time factor for me is just a rough estimate to know where things are approximately...

None the less man...looks fucking awesome and I'm sure the bud is going to be A+ top shelf!!

Here are some update pics of day 55 of flower
attachment.php

Yes they got their first light feed this week and will be getting water/molasses and then plain water from here on out. I do not go by trichs but rather bud swell. There are too many variables that bring about amber trichs for me to go by them especially if the buds haven't finished swelling up.

Here are some update pics of day 55 of flower
attachment.php

Some are starting to swell, leaves turn colors etc, all of which makes me see that a harvest is right around the corner.

Here are some update pics of day 55 of flower
attachment.php

Yes time flies brother and to be honest that is what I love about growing, at first it seems like the plants in veg will never get into flower and finish and then all of a sudden here they are ready to get hacked, hung and jarred.

Nice, I'm glad to see that my '14 watt' is not going to go to waste...I have some wattage tests of that thing somewhere but 7 or 8 watts sounds about right..
View Image
there it is...:)..........I wasn't sure if it was going to be okay for cloning so thank you my friend and brother for letting me know that it's good for that purpose..

would you mind posting this info in my LED mythbusting thread?

link is in my sig...

i would appreciate it if you don't mind...

also, medmaker, if you have information to add to that thread i would greatly appreciate that too... looks like you got a kill-a-watt and have measured these units...

i haven't been posting in a while and have fallen behind on this website.. i am trying to catch up with my slow ass ISP and slow ass TOR so it's painful...

i will get around to adding these growblu arrays to my LED Retailers thread ASAP....

More than happy to have you to follow along. You aren't too late because I have it setup perpetual style so there will be harvests happening each month and will be trying to post as many pics and videos as I possibly can.

I will have more time to be able to do this once I get this first cycle done and documented. I agree that the more content and data put together for the community the better off that led grow light sub forum will be for the rest of the growers here.

I have kill a watt readings for 12 or so led grow light panels currently and growblu has kill a watt readings on a ton of their other lights as well which can be added. I can get a list of everything together for you and make it easier to post up for you. I will pm the info so you can update your data and will post some pics/vids in some of the threads within the led sub forum.

I understand the issues with being busy, life happens and sometimes keeping up with a ton of led grows and forum updates can start backing up on a moderator + it being the holiday season, life happens brother.

I wanted to update everyone on the germination results on the latest 4 additions in my garden. I have posted pics and video of the germination process of the Casey's Cousin x Sour Diesel IBL, OTM, Cheesedog and the White Rhino.

Casey's Cousin x Sour Diesel IBL - 10
Cheesedog - 8
OTM - 4
White Rhino - 3

I will be editing this post with up pot pics of the above and will veg them under a few of the different growblu led veg lights and then toss them under the 5 different flower panels and see how they perform. I am really excited to see how Poison Genetics' Casey's Cousin x Sour Diesel IBL does. I am hoping to get a few solid keeper females that can stick around the led garden.

I will also be up potting the clones currently under the 14 watt panel and will be keeping a single clone of each pheno/strain/cut and flower out any duplicates onced fully vegged and ready to grow under the flower panels.

I just did a "plant audit" and have more than enough plant count to work with still so I will be taking a few more clones from my favorites ( jackpot royale #4 is at the top of that list ) and will toss the aeroponic cloner under another light and see how it does. I tested the 14 watt panel which is the lowest wattage panel ( If I am wrong someone please correct me so I can research alternative data ) and was STOKED to see it root my clones using nothing more than 9 running watts of power ( these would be PERFECT for a solar panel setup to power them ) and in under 5 days. I do love my biax 55 watters however I want to do some more lower wattage veg tests and see which wattage range provides the most bang for the growers buck.

I think everyone should try growing under 250 hps, 400 hps, 600 hps, 1000 hps, LEDs, vertical, coco, soil, soil less, organic, hydroponic, aeroponic, aquaponic and any other way possible. Try it all out and see what works best for you and your growing environment.

Looking fantazing as always dude. Wish I coud see them in regular light to get the full effect

Personally I just can't wait until the harvest pics and dry weights to be figured out per plant so I can dial these grow cabs in further. Those will all be done during lights off and see the buds in all their beauty. I will see if I can adjust the setting on my cams and get regular light, the gopros I use cannot really be adjusted or zoomed in so for pics I use my other camera.

General Updates

The next video update I will try and play with my camera adjustments and see if I can get a better light level going. I try not to move the plants around once they get passed week 6 as I don't like messing with the trichs etc else I would pull each plant out to take pics in normal light levels. I just try not to mess with them during their night or light cycle as best as possible once they get half into flower.

Let them grow let them grow and just enjoy the show

Some of the girls will be coming down soon enough, giving them a bit of water and then going to let them dry out and sit in the dark for a couple days before getting hung.

I want to see if I can dial in the 8 plants producing 2 ounces per plant using these 300-400 watt panels (1.70gpw at 300 watts, 1.46gpw at 350 watts, 1.28gpw at 400 watts ) but since this is all personal meds, whatever I yield will make me smile because this has been a really fun grow and can't wait to see how the rest of the cycles come out yield/quality wise.

There are a few videos getting uploaded so check back for those to be posted here as well as on the led grow shows youtube channel for anyone interested. I finally got to play with the gopro in my aeroponic cloner as well as during some nightly feedings and just was itching for using the gopro in water in some way

The girls pictured below are NOT in their 7th or 8th week of flower, I don't want to confuse anyone and wanted to just note that real quick. The couple pics below are from the second cycle that is a few weeks behind ( around 4 weeks actually ). More pics and video of the finishing girls ( week7/8 ) will follow in another post.

This looks like a promising phenotype ( love the internode spacing )

Got one of my light movers out. I am trying to get plans together for my 2013 runs and I feel a light mover in my growing future.

Lmao. Ummm Got Waterproof? That's great dude. Was that on purpose or intended. Had a little trouble digging er out or ? Lol

Its a gopro and had its scuba gear on so its ok  I didn't have an issue fishing it out but was adjusting the water pump so it would spray a bit less powerful with the lid off and seeing the leds shining off of the inside of the bucket, I decided not to edit it out.

nutes of choice this run ( molasses is in the mix just not the pix lol )
attachment.php

I raised all the lights and removed all the "dividers" so they wouldn't get wet and wanted to make sure the spray wasn't getting too far and be a pain to clean up.

I just love this Lady Berry Kush phenotype

Some are yellowing up more than others it seems but all in all there are plenty that look like they will finish right in the 60/70 day mark which is great especially from seed.

and here is another girl
attachment.php

Once this first batch of girls gets chopped it will be great to see which phenos are going to stay in the garden.

attachment.php

I will also be checking the different between this first cycle which was grown in 707 medium, whereas the rest after was done in a coco / silica rock mix.

attachment.php

Funny thing is, I also have some fox farms ocean forest as well as some pro mix hp to test under these LEDs as well. I am trying to see which mix works best and just to try other mixes out for the hell of it.

The girls are on water and then will get dried out and tossed in the dark ( as noted previously ). I like to keep them light at the end if possible since they don't really suck up the water when they are getting close to done.

is it molasses time already? Wow.....time sure does fly brother...it most certainly does. As for the girls..what can I say that I haven't said yet or that someone else hasn't said?

Guess the only thing that remains is to see how much the 'fatten' up and then the ultimate tell is the weight.

Any guesses yet on the final tally or still too early to tell??

As far as the panels go, they are all doing great. I am interested to see which panel has the overall highest grams per plant and how they all rank, curious to say the least.

I am more pleased with LEDs than I thought I would be, I have been an hps grower for so damn long now and while I have seen other growers do decent runs with leds I am glad I get to find out for myself.

I am not sure what each plant will yield to be honest but I do know what I am working towards yield wise with these panels. Under 400 watt led panel growing 8 plants in 2 gallon pots yielding 2 ounces a piece. Since these are all seed grown and different phenos they are not all keepers. I am however locating the keeper clones like certain jackpot royales for example that I know could do the 2 zips per plant x 8 under these 300+ watt panels.

attachment.php

These panels all have 4 or 5 girls finishing right now with multiple cycles right behind them ( perpetual style baby ) so I can continue working towards optimizing my grow areas towards that 2+ zip per plant goal and then see where it takes me.

attachment.php

What are your hopes for your diy led panel brother? Any thoughts on led yields or any hopes/dreams you want to achieve with your current grow or future ones?

attachment.php

I think many of us are new to LEDs and are all watching each other and learning together. There really are not that many seasoned LED growers with journals and yields to back anything up or at least not that many that I have noticed. I have seen many of the same grows featured a million places but for some reason I feel 2013 is going to be the year that LEDs make a name for themselves.

attachment.php

There are just too many of us out here testing and trying out different panels, manufacturers, do it yourself kits and it is just a freakin BLAST.

Wonderful buds medman, they look scrumptious...
I think that quality is more important than quantity and it seems that haters only blab about yield. But by the looks of your grow, the haters will shut up when they'll see the final results.
Keep up the good work !

What are your hopes for your diy led panel brother? Any thoughts on led yields or any hopes/dreams you want to achieve with your current grow or future ones?

Heya bro:

Taking into consideration that this light/panel I built is only a 230W, I plan on building another one or two..three..hehe........but higher output. As I always said, this first one was just a tester but seeing that it really wasn't as complicated as I thought it was going to be, I'll either make 1 500W (approx) or more than likely, 2-250W for a better spread. Once again, wattage sizes are approximate.

The thing which will be a bit different this time around is the fact that I'll take out the CW and put more WW in there as well as more reds as well. This is speaking on a ratio scale that is.

I think now I have 30 whites (total) 20 blues and 55 reds. That will be shifted more to the red spectrum...time will tell brother.

I fully agree with you that 2013 should be the year that LEDs finally break through and be a force to be reckoned with which they are.
