Wsup Rick. Thanks homie. Glad u like the show. Its about to get good again!Just read the whole thread Marlo. Must say EXCELLENT work bro!!! I havnt been on IC for very long, but I must say this is one hell of a vert grow, and with only 2 400's! Very inspirational to say the least.
That lime Sour Bubble pheno is straight fire! Was lucky enough to sample some of PK's, and once again the Sour B has proven why it is on the top of my head stash. Lookin forward to whats to come bro, thanks for the show
Loving the wall screens, looks like it will give you more canopy space and better yields. Hope it's not too difficult to work with when that room bushes out... I'm sure you will handle it... Nice.
Nice looking set up. has me thinking cause I'm in devolopment right now maybe some thing like this would work for me. Just wondering If the pipe cleaners in the s shape will be strong enuff once you get some of those huge ass budz I've seen from you so far. They might not be strong enuff to hold them up. Just a thought, looking sweet Marlo.
its a mega setup id be soooo proud of that if i was you bro. respect
Pretty easy to find imo. Slow vegger, really short, finishes in 60 days or less. Reminds me of a can of sprite when you stick your nose in the jar.
Have you ever checked out Pheonix's SB thread? That dude has probly grown more SB than BOG himself! Tons of info in there. Anything SB related is definitely covered in that thread.
100% better. I love it Marlo. It's gonna be so much easier training the plants like this...
Lovin the improvements bro! I just made the switch to air pots too. What can I say? They fuckin rock! Now we just need to convince you to set up some blumats, and you can end the hand watering forever...
Gonna close this with 2 q's, 1) Air pots vs smart pots initial thoughts, and 2) What are your thoughts about the optimal light height (also do you move the lights when you take pics)?
I was just thinking about setting up a screen for my vert and the biggest thing that bugged me was that the frame/screen is going to cut down on light. I guess the screen from behind may be better for vertical. I'm glad you came up with this before I got to making my screens!
If I implement something similar I will just make screens like what you made, but that are positioned behind the plants, such that I can move individual plants. With the lazy susan it's easy to reach them all, wouldn't want to anchor them to the wall (defeats the purpose). Possibly this might extend to your situation? I guess for you the space taken up by them was a pretty big factor (your horizontal space is tighter) and moving them during rounds.
Thanks b00m!Looking great marlo and congrats on the last harvest too
I tried some airpots when they first came out , and as said they`re durable as Hell , but....in my nicest way possible to explain this......
The Smartpot rootzone`s breathe better , dry out faster , perform rootzone explosion more readily , but require more juice to optimize plant production over the course of the plant`s cycle start to finish IME....and then the airpots......
They`re plastic as in ALL nursery containers , but with cone`s and holes in the end of the cones that supposedly air prune the rootmasse`s and prevent "root spinning" like smartpots do that steals plant energy best spent creating upper plant foliage/budsites , but I didn`t see that with the smaller 1`s I was gifted to try out.....
Not saying they don`t work with the bigger 1`s that use more medium that I never tried......Only what I noticed from the SP`s doin their job , and the airpots didn`t perform as well in my setups.....
Smartpots air-prune roots , prevent "root spinning" that occurs in plastic pots , and I definitely saw increases in vegetation and budsite formation from the beginning ......
Airpots are taller , cost more and prolly last longer , but I ran smartpots for over 3 yrs , soaked em in pond zymes ta break down /eliminate dead tissue between runs , and re-used em every other run for long time with 512 plants runnin at all times .....
No spam over here , just personal first hand on-da-job trainin guys.....
Btw congrats on the harvest & new setup Marlo! 0.6 aint bad at all if yield isn't first priority!
My journal kicks off this weekend, I hope you will have time to chime in now and then. It hasn't been updated recently because I've been busy making all the preparations.
Btw what do you think of the idea of making your old frames just turning them opposite? Should work out a charm, no?
