Yes, I tried them both. They seem to be extremely similar, hard to put my finger on any real difference. The smell was mango/carrot at harvest and changed to a very sweet hard to define smell with some mango/tropical/carrot in it.

The cobbing works well! Pretty smooth smoke, certainly not reflecting the fact that they were harvested such a short while ago. Taste is very nice too. And it's strong stuff, no need to smoke half a hay bale...

In small doses the high seems to be a nicely energetic up high with slightly elevated mood. Higher doses are quite a ride. It comes in waves and lacks any comfort and kindness, a cold high (actually some elevated mood in the onset, but that fades quickly). Electric current racing through the body like through a transformer station, racy, introspective and a kind of mental couch lock, you are too busy being high so you don't want to do stuff. I can see how people might freak out with this stuff, excellent gut wrenching potential. Next experiment will be to go all in to see if there is a trippy side to it...

It will be interesting to see how a good cure changes the effects but definitely not every day smoke. I'm now betting on the Thai/Zamal pheno I still got going.
Take all this with a grain of salt as the cobs didn't have any cure yet (let's see in a few months) and I will need some more sampling...

Hi ZD thanks for the smoke report, it will get better after a few months, but I would say the fact that it was pulled early is going to limit it.
I find with the Zamal (and all sativas), it pays to leave them till all the leaves yellow and die.
I found Zamaldelica has no real power when taken early. Leave your Thai as long as possible and the trippy aspect will be there, early harvests are always a let down, you miss out on the fireworks.

I don't think my Z2 was pulled that early as the high is near identical to my Z1 which was straight out done at harvest.
The power is there too, but the high is not really positive. It is wild and scary, but I like that too once in a while and I'm not easily spooked. Nothing for the faint hearted though.
It'll be interesting to see how it will change over time.

Hi ZD cool if you are happy thats all that matters.
My Zamaldelica sweat cured is not scary at all, its very positive and makes me feel over confident and brash, I feel powerful and crazy racy high. It gets so strong that i dont remember what i did the next day as if somebody else had the trip. i found the early picked buds just speedy and nothing else.
i like to feel as if i have been taken over by a spirit and full of energy and creative a different person to who I am straight. i love the Zam trips but i cant take them for too many days in a row as I loose to much time he he. But for a crazy night out or day out, its the best i have had if you like going over the top ha ha.

Hey Tangwena,

I have my seeds now from ACE. Even More coming as well a bunch of cool varieties.

I was wondering what the best method of training is best for the Zamel and Malawi as far as growing them in a Stealth Box. 2x2x5 ft. 240 LED. You mentioned you grow some in Box's I believe.

I have some clones I just moved into flower. I can practice on these they are a bit shaggy from a longer then expected Veg.

Plus any other tips on growing in a Box you would like to pass on please feel free.

Thanks!

Hi Levitation
I am no expert grower my friend I learn't everything on this forum and am still learning.

You have some good strains some of which I also have, so it will be good bouncing ideas off each other. If you go to my post 'PanamaxMalawi,Panama and GT" you will see how I grow the big sativas in a box its not easy but it can be done.
I have a nice revegged Panama clone from that grow. I will post pics when the buds are fat, its only the second week of flower at the moment so not a lot to see.
Best of luck and show us some pics when you get up and running.

I have been working and learning my "daytime" profession for 35 years. Learn or see something new every day.
I see it's the same with this craft as well.
As is life in general.

Un bagged my Zamaldelica cob today, smells sweet and all zamaldelica like.

The contents has shrunk away from the corn husk, and was placed in
a brown bag to dry out.

Will report back after a few days with pics and observations.

Gypsy's home btw.

cobb this?

cobb this?

Its the scrappy buds from trimming. Would it be worth trying a cob cure on?

The nice buds from my first ever run are starting to cure today after nearly a week stinking up my garage.

Obviously lots of things I could do to them, squeeze the oil out hell
no shortage of ideas :)

Just curious, sorry for sideways pic.

Levitate you get out what you put in, so scrappy buds scrappy cobs.
Its up to you, what do you want? If its just to try the method out then go for it and see what you can do, but dont expect anything fantastic, its not a magic maker.
But for a first try yes have a go, just dont rate the process on the result ha ha.

Understood, not looking for magic.
One trial cobb on the way!
Hoping to gain some more experience growing out the last of my clones and a few seedlings
this run so I have a better chance with the Ace Seeds when I plant them this summer.
I think I can improve my growing skills now.
I see my plants had good genetics and they somehow survived me lol.

Time to reread the cobb method

Hi my friend have you sweated the cob? If not you need to sweat the cob in an un vacced bag, just a plain zip locked bag in a warm place for 24hrs. The bag and the cob must get wet from perspiration before sealing in the vac bag. This step is critical.
Some other members sweated for 48hrs before vac sealing. It depends on the temperature.
In Ausie where I live it quite hot so its easy to get a sweat going, if its cool where you live on top of a boiler or other heat source will get it going.
The buds and cob look good otherwise, good luck my friend.
