So you like looking at other men's cobs do you Tang? Well I got a couple of em Id like to whip out for you.

Top one is Mr. Nice Shit(26g), and the bottom one is Gypsy Nirvana Thai Stick-G(46grams)(164 Days Flowering). Ive not really dipped much into the Thai yet. I want to let it age for awhile. I did have two of the Shit Cobs, but the other one got consumed as one would expect.

It was good. Better than I could have ever expected from that line. Cobbing so useful in so many ways. I love it. Everyone needs to get off their lazy asses, and give it a try.

I didn't get a great sweat on the Thai, but boy did the Shit sweat it out. It had that sickly sweet smell you know all about, and the color changed completely. Tastes and smokes wonderful.

Hi Dave you can whip those out any day my friend. The top one you can tell sweated by the color change, the bottom one didn't sweat so much but aging it (if you can) vac sealed will bring out all its qualities. i also like the greener cobs if you can keep them slightly very slightly moist in the center.
Lets face it any improvement in the raw product is a good one. I used to buy cobs that were green/gold not too matured, when you broke them up the nugs were sticky, even the pieces you chopped up with your thumb nail. It smoked like pure pine hash and the high was very out of control trippy.
You could get one of those from that plant, oh how I wish I had one just like it.
But you wait and see my next run of green Panama thats going to kick some arse cobbed.
dream on Tangwena its all I live for, growing, cobbing and getting the best out of every trip/day.

Hi DC you have it right, others seem to be getting a better sweat from slightly moister buds, so I would wrap them a little earlier than if you were going to jar them up. Also give the cob time to sweat if its cool where you are put them near a heat source wrapped in a zip lock bag.
It may take 2 days or so to sweat if its not hot like it is where I am.
I only have to put them in my car with the windows up for half a day in the sun, but I have seen others get a good result from 2 days plus before vaccing. Just watch mold doesn't start if you leave them sweating longer.

I understand now, thank you.

I gotta try this cobbin on my next harvest.

Maybe experiment with putting a layer of hash in the middle?
That would be cool.

I read somewhere that certain old hash producers like to cure the resin also and consider it bad form to use fresh uncured hash, I am not sure where middle east I think.

Great thread Tangwena. Kudos to all who are willing to give this a try and realize that some of the stuff that looks like what people turn up their noses to and call "schwag" is actually expertly cured high grade.

As I have posted before, I have done something similar to one of my harvests, and it turned out great. I used paper instead of corn husks. This thread, and many pictures of what look like good results have convinced me to do this with my next harvest. I'll post pictures and reviews when I do.

The reason for my post is that I've met an old timer from Hawaii that told me he buried hash in the ground for a year before smoking it. He also told me that the original sativa strains that gave Hawaii it's reputation for world class weed came from S.E. Asia and... Africa. He specifically called out Swazi with a big fat grin. Perhaps his notion of burying hash came along with the African genetics.

May this thread, and the knowledge it contains carry on for future generations.

My Zamaldelica buds are ready to wrap, but is there a difference
in wrapping with the inner or outer fresh corn husk.

DC I use the outer or middle layer but only because its easier to work with. Into it mate get some buds sweating.

Lovely selection of cures/colors, man are those going to give you something to work with.
The best selection i have seen for a very long time. You have aced it my friend thank you for showing what can be done, the future of cob making is in safe hands. My favorite is the first picture #1 you have got to love the golden cobs, just a personal thing, I am sure they will all wipe you out ha ha.

Thank you so much, Tangwena. Those are very kind words. Thanks for taking the time to put this information out into the world. :) I have been curious about cobs for years, thanks to some of those early IC cob/African genetics posters (Highlighter, LMN, and Rinse come to mind) but I never felt comfortable trying other methods that seemed way too risky.

I'll have smoke reports after some aging :) I will probably have to give the cob a short break before the aged testing for a proper evaluation. When I smoke dispensary hybrids now, I hardly even feel anything--a faint buzz in the body, and a mild mental dullness. Same with dabs/wax/vape, just a little stronger. These cobs are bigger, and from more mature plants than the tester cob (Tester: 37g Current Cobs: 50g - 60g). The tester cob was "good medicine", and these are already trippy. I can't wait for the aged product. These are already all I can handle when I overindulge (about .25g is all it takes).

One of my favorite things about the cobs are that they've made my lungs feel better. Less coughing, and when I do, there's hardly any of that resin/tar taste which I'm sure many of you are familiar with (pesticide/chem overfert taste for those less fortunate). Definitely cured.

Thanks everybody :tiphat: enjoy your cobs.

Hi BoldAsLove that is great that it is good all round effect, the only thing I can suggest to further your expertise is try some of the looser bound cob curing on your next batch.
Everything else is the same, just dont tie them so tight, the buds cure differently and give a different taste and effect to the solid cobs.
Both are good, it just adds even more variety to your already impressive pallet of tastes and effects, you will be set for life. Once again respect to you brother for taking the time to create such beautiful works of the curing art.

Today I checked my safe house mail box and Ace came through again, 10 days to the other side of the planet, believe me thats pretty quick for Aussie.
Some Ghana, Swazi and Destroyer! Those babies are going to produce some real deal African cobs, plus of course the Destroyer, cant wait to see what that is like cobbed.
So much to do so little time and space.
Meanwhile the Panama is getting ready to bud then to make cobs again. I cant stop.
