Heya Tangwena......something popped into my head (scary) but anyways.... I keep hearing about this live resin. In my mind as in reference to the cobs.....wouldn't fresh harvested flowers (nice & wet still) ((alive if you will) be similar?? Just throwing that out there....dammmmnn I love science!!!!
You've got me there "whats live resin?"
I didn't think resin was alive resin is just resin isn't it?

Orient express got the chop after 12 weeks
I made due with rubber bands instead of string and put them in a vaccum sealed bag inside my dehydrator at 105F. All wrapped in parchment paper.

Im excited
Looking good my friend I think this cure will suite that kind of bud.
It really brings out the taste and smoothness in the buds cured this way.
I just finished a trip on some 4 week cured Malawi x Ethiopia lasted a good 6 hours on 4.8g of young un aged cob.
The first 3 hours were very hectic lots of things flashing through my head plenty of drive in between 2 very intense waves of ecstacy that had me gone just laying on the floor diving deep inside my mind really trippy.
I had no warning they were coming just sought of passed out for 5 mins each time.
Every time I came back I was higher than I was before the wave.
I was just getting a handle on the power when the dreggs of the cob that I swallowed after chewing came on line in a rush and knocked me out a third time with very vivid dreams and thoughts very profound thoughts.
I get this a lot it takes the swallowed cob 2 to 3 hours to get through the liver and into the blood. The chewed juice starts coming on slowly from the first hour peaking at 3 hrs when it gets reinforced by the livers delivery always a lot stonier.

It was one of those highs where talking to yourself is quite normal and even laughing at your own thoughts is good.
After it has aged a month this will be champagne high i know some people who will get very excited to get high on this stuff.

OMG, that should be dangerous! How do you take it usually? effects?? pictures?

The zamaldelica cob i made was sweated in vacuum a few days,
then air dried until the corn husk was almost yellow.

Jar cured unwrapped a couple months, and everyone who tried it
begged for samples, lol

Onset is instant, and one or two hits gets you off for a few hours, with no holy fuck.

That same plant long term jarred buds were kinda scary for some.

I have made bubble hashish with that zamaldelica too,
long cured buds used for the funnel extraction.

That hashish was sublime, the stone was deep seated with
glimpses of motion blur and nicely enhanced sensory expression.

If you have any Zamaldelica yield coming up, I urge you to
employ the cob method.

Here is a thread that illustrates my Zamaldelica grows:

Good stuff.

Few weeks of curing. Tried some Ultimate yesterday. Oh man. I love how profoundly the high kicks in. It's almost like edible, the way it just kind of comes from somewhere deep. Onset is somewhat longer then with regular cured bud, but so incredibly soft and warm. I smoked about 2g during the evening before trying cob, so i was quite baked, but there is no way you can miss the difference. The cob is just so profound.

The little piece i tried is really dry. I left it in my "evening honey pot" so it has been thoroughly dried. The ones in the pics are still more moist. I assume that they are even more awesome smoke, because the longer curing process.

Total weight of the cobs in pics is about 2 ounces. I like it how much weed you can store in a little space. Definitely going to my summer house stash.

Would it be wise to vacuum the ones that will be sitting there for extended periods? Such as from octobed to june? They will be exposed to cold and moist. I have some regular bud there also, oldest are over 3 years old, with zero problem so far. I just wanna make sure that none of these go bad.

Power Flower after about 17 months of curing. I don't want to say things that aren't true, so should i be talking about curing or aging? There is still some moisture in this batch, and it hasn't dried out totally at any point. So is it curing then? And if i dry it all the way and put in a jar, is it then aging?

The smell of the bud with this long curing/aging is quite different compared to 6 months old i got next to it. It's like a bit over ripened citrus fruit, when you cut it open and smell it.

Is there some type of processing that you guys would recommend to try with these?

Great pics my friend and profound is a good description it def changes the high doesn't it.
As insurance I always vac seal for long term storage. I cut off a big slice and dry it for daily use but the main bulk I like to vac seal as even when fully dried it can attract moisture from the air and that can lead to you know what.
Vacuum sealed they stay fresh and actually seem to keep improving with age.
Just dry them a little more before storage so they stay nice and fresh and dont carry on curing fermenting slowly while sealed.

Thanks brother. I'll do just that.

It's incredible how the same plant matter has so different effect after cobbing. Would be hard to tell if it's the same plant.

And the mornings are nice and soft. I like how it feels like my eyeballs are floating in fluids in a good way. Really medicated feeling overall.

"whats live resin?" It's my understanding that it's resin that's been extracted, dissolved or removed from fresh, just harvested plants. One way is with buds that are frozen at harvest then processed with the ice water extraction method using Bubblebags. Fresh frozen material is also used with other extraction methods to make "live" resin (though just how "live" is resin that has been dissolved in butane or other petrochemicals?). Terpenes that would of been degraded, faded or evaporated off during the usual drying/curing process are retained within the fresh frozen resin.

We collect quite alot of kuusenkerkkä (i dont know the english word for it, but the young tip of pinea branch in the spring. They are collectible for only a short while). They contain alot of terpenes, resin etc. We cook them in to a syrup, dry them for tea, and make alcohol tincture. Also, i fresh freeze them to be later used as "fresh" for tea when in need for a larger quantity of terpenes and essential oils. We also collect resin from pinea to make a paste for wounds, burns, insect bites etc and just to chew it. It is magnificent for cuts and bleeds.

In that sense, i think you can make a difference between "live" and "dead" resin.

This is somewhat difficult to translate from finnish to english since we have separate words for almost everything, while english uses for example the word "resin" for many things that we call with different names. At least with my inadequate english i think so.

Here are my ACE Malawi x Panama cobs at 4 weeks cure. These are my favorite cobs so far. These babies give me that perfect sativa high that I have been chasing. I find the jar cured flowers not even in the same category as the cobs. I find the flower a little to narcotic but these cobs are pure bliss!

Wow I had to click on the small picture to see how good they turned out.
Yes brother that looks very tasty. You look to have nailed that cure nicely I can understand why they are so good.
As they age they will open even more effects to you makes me wish I had some fresh buds to cure right now thanks for posting my friend.
Awesome post.

Thats amazing info my friend really cool to hear the traditional methods to collect that resin. I am sure on wounds its the perfect antiseptic I just love that pine smell in tea would be amazing.

Has it got a sweet taste being from young shoots?

Heya Tangwena.....Live resin is essentially when fresh harvested cannabis is taken & frozen or cooled to subcritical temperatures & then make concentrate....(BHO or whatever) ..... They call it Live Resin because it retains most of the terpenes yadda yadda yadda.....if anybody has a better explanation please go for it!! Haha happy Friday or Saturday Cobsters!!!!

Just this guy, ya know?
Hey guys if I have fresh corn husks, but my weed isn't dried yet, can I keep the husks fresh in a bag or something? Was mostly worried about mold if they stayed moist.
