Repuk- the picture of the 9 days fermented cob is tripping me out- it looks 3D like leaves suspended in epoxy resin or something. even though the cob is smashed flat, I feel like I can see the 3 dimensional shape of the buds. very cool
Haha dood I might just be baked, but I swear staring at that bud I can see a whole forest, man.Repuk- the picture of the 9 days fermented cob is tripping me out- it looks 3D like leaves suspended in epoxy resin or something. even though the cob is smashed flat, I feel like I can see the 3 dimensional shape of the buds. very cool

Just finished reading the thread.Great info Tangwena & thanks for the diagram Repuk.
So no need to decarb, just 3 month cure and cob can be chewed?
Every strain is unique in every way smell, taste and high.this thread has had my attention for a while now. i can't wait to get growing again so i can try it out. question: do different strains come out with individual smells and tastes or do they become very similar to each other?
Best smoke report I ever read!Grinding time
I left the cob drying for 6h, then put it on a mason jar.
I burped it daily, for a couple days.
Cut a chunk and "dismantled" it with my fingers: it was still playable but you felt how it cracked.
Smell was very nice, less dank, sort of wild honey muted tones.
Once grinded I was surprised of the amount I got...
Smoke
I wanted to test both sides of the curing spectrum but cob wasn't big enough to test at one, two and three months mark, so tested at one and three curing months.
Compared to the one month cure, flavor had changed.
I can't relate to cigars, tobacco, weed nor anything else this time, flavor had turned to sweet and sour, really spicy wood, it was a very unique taste.
It burnt perfectly, slowly and really white ash.
Effects
I use sativas because is the only medicine actually preventing me from having horrible migraines, and relieve my sight... that's the physical part; on the no less important psychologic front it helps me unwind, untangle from the demons of my inner self, or to better communicate with it, to become one.
I think I tend to "store inside for later review" certain negative emotions; having a good sativa smoke kind of pulls the carpet off, revealing everything under; helping me confront and resolve them by putting me on a positive, combative and resolutive mood.
The buds that went into this cob turned out to be really bland regarding potency, so I was not expecting anything but a good smoke.
Half way through the spliff I noticed hey, something is happening... but in a very subtle, deep way... was really enjoying and into some Riding music, when suddenly while listening to a really special song (Simple Man) something kind of clicked inside and I bursted into tears. Like opening a just shook beer can...
It wasn't exactly painful, but actually relieving, revelation like and comforting in the end.
I felt light as a feather afterwards, and while I wasn't feeling physically high per regular "standards", clearly I was under the influence: really improved physical and psychological wellbeing and also had the most tasteful dinner ever!
Wrapping up
I think what happened after weeks of having all the hybrid skunky, lobotomizing crap I can get around to get some sleep, whatever potency left in those cobbed sativa (Beyond the Brain) buds kind of untangled me... from a single lashing!
Make no mistake, I wasn't giggling and suddenly felt bad; it wasn't a negative experience. More precisely I have been so-so lately and this kind of "opened the pressure release valve".
It is complex to put it into words... really inside your inner self, direct to your soul experience.
Definitely a world I am willing to explore
