Well im planning to get the dubb soon. But will mostly be working to breed with it. So I’ll definitely give a pack of Nem a shot alongside when that comes time.

Im not sure which that is but absolutely beautiful. Id say its the dubb. But if thats the Nem you really did nail it.

NEM is the name I gave my keeper found in the DBMH line. This line was released 15 years ago. These are no more. Anything that has NEM in it is killer, after all the purpose is to improve what we start with.

My recreation of Sour Dubble using my female Headbanger (nycd lavender/grapefruit leaner) pollinated by bx3/bx4 sour bubble male. It was only topped once and has the thickest branching I’ve ever encountered. A beautiful plant for sure, will be fun to see how the flowers develop!

@Hammerhead
Read on somewhere on ic mag , that you are looking to create sour dubb ibl seed line?
If you have any more details I'm sure more people than just myself would be interested to hear.
Thanks

I've been looking through Sour Dubble S2 seeds for awhile. Selecting plants has been difficult. Not found any I want to use yet.. The search continues.

Appreciate the info.
That sounds interesting!.... When time comes I'll enjoy seeing that journey and results, if you document it here?
All the best for your dubb hunt!

Sorry man, Im curious? If you don't mind me asking, which way would you go with the s2 to get to an inbred line?
Thanks in advance.

IBL seeds should produce similar plants with limited variation. Selfing plants is the best place to start any IBL IMO. An IBL project can take much longer going the F1,F2 route.;)

@Hammerhead didn't have any luck with my first seed germination attempt on your sour dubb S1 and sour dubb x querkle seeds I was gifted last year by another breeder. They are a few years old now and was to be expected. Kept the remaining seeds in the fridge since then and as planned, as soon as I got back from my hunting trip the other day I tried again. Light scuff and then I laid them on a bed of moistened gaia green worm castings and covered them up with a moist paper towel..... Success!! 2 of the remaining Sour dubb S1 are up and 3 of 4 sour dubb x querkle are up. Worm castings for the win!!!
eager to see how these grow out.
A friend says he can get me the sour dubb clone too so down the sour dubb rabbit hole I go ;)

I just popped a bunch of Sdubb x Querkle seeds that someone sent back to me as I didn't have any left.. out of the pack I got 7 seeds to germ. I got 4 females and 3 males. The females are in flower now. The males will be flwoered later for an F2 batch.

I haven't popped any s1 seeds in at least a decade. The s1 were freebies. The s2 seeds I'm currently looking through. So far no germ issues. Both were made 2009-10

I posted this in another thread but I think it should go here as well.

Plants that have an intense terpene content is a recessive trait. Its why most plant wont carry the same profile. There are some pheno's that pass that trait well. Sour Dubble is one that has shown this. Some projects using her carried that trait much better than others. Making selections for that trait are super important. Doing so will produce more plants that carry that trait. Working a line for a specific outcome is what I want. It doesnt matter what trait you pick, Terpenes, Resin, or Structure. It jsut has to be consisstant. Its why it very time consuming. At the end YOU BETTER EXPECT A SPECIFC OUTSOME FROM YOUR SEEDS.

I've never smoked the Querkle so should be a fun grow. On the germination note, that wasn't meant as a slight towards you and hope you didn't take it as such. The seeds are "old" by most grower's germination standards and I have no knowledge of how they were stored before I got them. I'm glad the worm casting germination method worked as I am quite excited about diving into these. I don't know how many other breeders reversed the Sour Dubb but I have wanted to grow the cut for some time now. To get a chance to grow out some of your S1 beans is an opportunity I am grateful for. The cross with Querkle is just icing on the cake ;)

All good. Germ issues can happen for reasons I cant explain. I dont take anything personal.
