Your water, your soil, EC and PH all sound good... please dont add PH up to ur water.

If you would like the runt to brachout some more then squeese the growing head until u hear alittle break (not a crunch), BE GENTLE!!! This will slow the top only allowing the rest of the plant to branch out...

Plant Damage

Plant Damage

Help! After the watering when I got back. Queen & Droopy wilted slightly the next day. Queen worse, today they were up again, but there is damage I'll show it here, a bunch of leaves are spotted and brittle, mostly on top. I freaked out and leached with water 7.0pH filtered tap, Queen the most, Droopy a little. Left the other plants alone, as they seem to be thriving with no problems. Pix are from Queen, Droopy had just a couple of leaves. The worse news is the pH is far worse than the chemical test let on. I took a sample of the leach water with the meter both plants read 5.3 pH, ouch!

Growdoc how do I bring it back up with dolomite lime or something, will pH UP hurt? I know it can't buffer and is ment more for hydroponics.

Here are the pix, purplish brown the damage is more consistant with light exposer, than with heat (some lower leaves have it) I had sprayed them with just water, but not the other two:

Well Queen & Droop were flushed. 3 gallons each 1 gal at a time. 3 drops of Superthrive in the second gallon. Water pH at 8.0. Run off is sitting a 5.7 pH; EC 1.4 mS or TDS [email protected](442). I'm going to let them dry out from here. Getting some Aggrene Liquid Lime tomorrow. It's a very fine lime in liquid suspension. The other two plants Runt & Stepchild look excellent. I will water them tommorrow or day after slowly introducing a little lime and bonemeal, nothing else. After Q & D dry out they will get the same and a little Problend Bloom, and Cal-Mag plus.
Thats the plan unless somebody chimes in.

Lime diluting it about 50% or normal stength... you can also mist them with a 10% solution...

Your instincts are right mate, follow ur green thumbs...

Royal Flush

Royal Flush

The plants seemed to have liked their flush. Surprisingly they were up, tops up, leaf curl gone. Good news too, Runt now the top dog, The tallest, lushest and mature. Runt has officially became a woman today. Two white pistils jetting out from the calyx. The others are inconclusive so far, I fear Stepchild is male. Under 60x the calyx does not look like the other plants. Queen and Droopy look more like Runt, just no hairs yet.
Now, what happened. I believe this all goes back to what GMT said about cutting those leaves. All the plants got the same treatment and the health of the plants rank the same way Queen had most leaves removed early on, and runt had no leaves removed. I think Runt is using the nutes effectively, because it has the huge fan leaves using energy like N. Queen was busy rebuilding leaf structure not photosynthisis, so nutes began to become unbalanced and building up, meanwhile pH is dropping rapidly. I believe because the size of the pots were too big early on nutes built up in the outside perimeter, so when the roots got there it was just too much, and the last watering soaked the roots and bam. Runt and Stepchild were able to ride the wave, but Queen and Droopy fell behind and got burnt. Stepchild tested 6.3 pH today 1.4mS EC, Runt was low 5.7 pH; 4.2 mS EC. After watering with liquid bonemeal & lime & Earthgrow bloom, I flushed with two gals, superthive in the 1st, water 8.2 pH in the 2nd. I wanted to flush some of the N without losing P & K, Mg, Cal. EG Bloom only contains P&K 0-3-1, liquid bonemeal P 0-12-0. Runoff shows 6.0pH 2.7 EC 1900 [email protected] EC(442). I expect runoff to be off, little lower pH, little higher EC. So thats where I'm at. I'm going to stay on track with my plan.
Thanks for the info grow Growdoc. I pinched the 2 top tops on Runt. Where's the love from my other IC homies. .....Some pics......

The SLOG (backrow) L to R Stepchild, Runt, (front) Droopy, Queen :canabis:

Front view of the SLOG, Runt is the tallest, is that a oxymoron?

All for now, the plant BLOG SLOG goes on.

Thanks for the comments Mr Green Jeans and Growdoc. I've only rotated them, using the walls and light, beyond the only topping. Sometimes criss-crossing tall tips with shorter ones, so the short ones pushdown on the tall ones and vice-versa.
GMT I was just foolin, it gets lonly at this thread sometimes :biglaugh:
Plants are doing better, Queen is producing trifolates now, maybe because of all the stress. Queen and Droopy have seem to halted their flowering process. I'm pretty damn sure Stepchild is a male, producing mutiple calyx and no hairs yet. It's been 7 days into 12/12. Runt is the main featured plant now. Not much more to report, maybe some pics tommorrow.

Kill The Stepchild

Kill The Stepchild

This post is dedicated to my plant Stepchild, which is probably going to have an untimely fatal injury tommorrow or put into a nute torture chamber just to see what happens. Either way I'm pretty damn sure it is male. Calyx is beginning to cluster with no hairs and look like acorns. I only took pics of Step today. It was a good plant, the best pH, no foliage problems, very healthy. Runt is producing hairs at all new growths, Droopy is not looking very good in the sex department either, might be another male. Queen is not interested in flowers it seems, just trying to survive the burn, what calyx she does have are looking promising. The pix of stepchild:
Probably the last we will see of Stepchild :frown:

Looks male to me, what do you think?

Step had a trifoliate going. A single node chased a double up the stem until it was producing triples.

Thats it for now.

Now that's odd. Aquaman had a great thread discussing tri-foliates and it claimed that due to the genetic make up of trifoliates, they had to be female. Huh-live and learn.

GMT does the flowering look male to you. I'm not very experienced with this phase yet, just going by what I've read. The calyx is raised, no hairs. I don't know that much about Tri-foliates either. Queen is doing it too. Step was only doing it on one head that came from the bottom branch(first main node). Queen started on the bottom branch as well. Could this be a hermie, I don't know?

Yeah, listen mate, I don't want to take over your thread with my pics but here's a few thumbs to show what I'm talking about. First sign of a female is this What you have there
is an early Which wil shortly look like
As for the tri-foliates, I've had em before, always female maybe coincidence maybe not dont know.

They're always fun.
Sorry for the bad news, but then I remember saying that to immortal a while ago and was wrong

Props to GMT and Denial

Props to GMT and Denial

Those are good pics to take it over with GMT. I'm in denial, I just keep hoping some hairs are just gonna come jettin out any moment. My plant has balls :frown: He's been moved to another closet for the off time, maybe get to sit by the light tommorrow outside the door, depends if I wake up violent or not. I could use the room Runt needs to stretch out a bit. Maybe pics of Runt tommorrow. Thanks for your time GMT and the pics, it was the exact thing I wanted to see. The pics in my books are drawings and sometimes it is difficult finding pics in threads though the search engine. :friends:

It is to early to tell if its male or female...

As for tripolides they can be any sex...

Glad you PM'd me Growdoc. I'll give it some more time. I just didn't like the fact that clusters of calyx are forming(2 or 3) at this point w/ no hairs. Runt has single calyx with hairs out of each. I'll just wait to see if they stem-up or go hairy. Thanx
