Just to cleanse the pallet, so to speak.

still too much leaf.. honestly.. pull the fans from the stems.. and same with the sugar leaf.. get rid of it . use it for hash.. buds taste sooo much cleaner and tastier.. without any green leaf..

and yes. I hate how people take the time to grow good buds.. just to be lazy on the trim.. its the greed.. honestly.. like ive said many times.. that the dry.. the cure.. and the trim.. all can turn an amazing bud into crappy buds.. or decent buds into complete garbage.. iuno man noobs have no fucking idea wat there doing .. and cash croppers know there fucking lazy..

Fruits and vegetables don't cost 2.500$ a lb

nor do herbs and spices

nor does medication at the pharmacy

the prices of marijuana are very inflated

on who's ass are you getting rich ?

soon the prices will go to 2000$ a pound then less and less

time to get real boys

you didn't expect the goose to keep laying golden eggs forever ?

this is america after all

where we drive wages down until all the work has gone to third world countries

:yeahthats
ever checked the price of cancer / AIDS meds
easily costs 2.5k for meds to cover a time period similar to how long an LB (or and LB worth of black oil, RSO, pheonix tears).
big pharma ain't playing, and cannabis is actually pretty affordable when compared to serious medications for seriously sick people.

Funny how the people who has NEVER experienced a huge grow, is all of a sudden an expert...

It isnt hard to grow weed. Even top tier outdoors. Even 1000 pounds of it. Unless your not into it and just in it for the money, then i could see it being difficult.

On a side note I see where they have captured "El Chapo" Guzman who has made millions from this nasty weed they smuggle across the border.

It's never my first choice to smoke weed from an unknown source. Wouldn't call all imports trash though, have had some decent stuff before.

Is the Mexican stuff super cheap? I've never really understood taking the risk to smuggle an inferior product across international borders.......other drugs from Mexico sure, but why the crappy weed, especially with all the legalizing going on in the USA?

Its been a long time since I've wanted to buy an import because of not knowing how it's grown. Same problem locally though as well if it's from an unknown source. In the far south U.S. lbs. would range 300-500 for singles. Nicer smoke was not common maybe 10-20% would be "nice", meaning decent taste, buzz. Nothing fantastic though. Mostly the lower priced average stuff was available with major discounts for bulk because that was what they made real money on cause they would pay under 100 per in bulk. Imported weed is a much bigger money maker than other drugs because of the volume moved, even though its less cost effective to haul.

nobody got time for that shit!! a lot of my homies don't grow, they like to travel, go out and party, and make money doing other shit.

My favorite part of this thread so far!

My only comment to the original poster is to get a better connect or grow your own.

Even if someone grew real quality non machine trimmed herb it would end up compressed into a small brick in the end. I've never seen a package that wasn't squeezed. It's night and day between that herb and the same herb in a jar.

People are unreliable. The machine can be counted on for the most part. You also have to think about the kind of people that would do this work. If they had stable, rigid, and professional work. They would not be doing this.

I've preached the foreign non english speaking women for a while.

I've done both ...

I've done both ...

I usually trim very close to the bud and save the trimmings for oil.

I cut down some Indica two weeks ago and only took off the fan leaves. (Because of this thread)

It is about cured, so I tried some. :woohoo: It smokes great in joints.

It did have some sugar leaves curled up, I only removed the larger ones. It smokes great.

I won't be selling it so I will probably won't trim until I smoke it.

It that not trimming works great with TRUE Indica :tiphat:

I'll see what I do with the next batch :dance013:

I have to say, that i know many, many trimmers that have stable, loving, work filled lives, they just happen to take 2 months off in the fall each year to travel to CA and make at least 400 bucks a day, thats 24k if you dont take a break, which some folks dont.

This money isnt just for loser trimmers who drift like transients and smell like shit while destroying the herb/property/vibe ect. I know couples with newborns that have had their lives greatly benefited from this work. Old ladies who are as sweet as can be, who make enough each year in two months to last 12.

I feel so bad for those of you who have to deal with shitty workers in the fall.

IMO its a amazing time of year

fuck a twister lol, to me, that shit is destroying our culture here in Norcal and the herb at the same time.

Boom! Great post! :) The fact that many producers are able to hire and pay these trimmers, and sell properly handled weed, just goes to show you.....all these growers crying about costs and overhead, yet there are plenty of growers that manage to do things the proper way and still sell their product at non-astronomical prices. Maybe the growers in here that are crying about costs and overhead should be overhauling their business plan, because it's obvious that some growers (ie. the ones that care) are able to follow proper practices and still turn a nice profit.

Hair dressers are hard to compare to trimmers . Trimming all day with scissors is an easy way to do long term damage to hands and fingers etc . most hair people just get paid to keep there stations/customers clean vs actually cutting hair and playing style games :)

The hair dresser bit was more of a joke, haha

All in all.
If you put your buds in a trimmer, some of the chlorophyll inside the smaller leaves as well as other "good stuff" in there will get inside your buds. This is unavoidable. Please let me know if I am wrong, as that would change my opinion.
I don't think it improves taste, but that is also just my opinion.
If that is not of your concern, then by all means, machine trim on.

All the best
