You got it MT!!!!!

Love your set up,nice and neat everything near by!
Now this is the fun part, number your seeded plants/cones taken.
Then grow all the plants you can choose for size, growth, brachy, pole types
potency, bag appeal all kinds of things!!!..every plant is a bit different like folks!
What you got for a light in the hydro tent?

Hey bro sounds good!

Yes a 600watt i think is way better,they compare
almost to 1000watters with WAY less HEAT...but
you will do fine with a 400 watt in them tents!!!!

Well folks i got (roots in a week again),noticed a difference
because it got colder and like i said (bubblers work best) at
about (75 degrees to 80) making for more cellular movement!!
Plus one of the clones had a bit to skinny a stem an they showed
some leaf rot telling me things went slower??..an not so comfy??
Be back with some pics to show what i mean..a good lesson! :puppydoge

Nice Lou.... I usually take a ton of clones in perlite. It's nice and easy, but messy. I like the idea. I've got to take a shot at it. It looks perfect for me. Tons of cuttings in a tiny place.

Good friends, go for it!!!

Hey MT,looks ok but your getting a bit creative?
No need for the frame but it will work,my only concern
is loosing water?? the bubbler splashes and then evaporation?
Just keep the water level up!....on the 81/6 not shure but i have
done it in the past, plants always like to relax from light a bit!!!!
Your veg room would bennifate from the 24 hours from the little CFL!!
No harm done to moms either, they would just turn there heads to the CFL
when there lights went out a little excersize as in nature!!
Oh' those branches DO need to grow to get the right node fro rooting!
Looks like they shot out at first good and healthy,no prob just wait a week?
My clones have rooted, pics in a bit!

hey lou everythings looking great except i finally got a thermometer today and my water temp is 65 degree's i have a black seedling heating pad (like the ones sold at almost all nursery's and such) do u think i should use this it says it designed to boost the temp 10 degrees more than ambient temp which i keep at 65 in the room

Hey friends!

douknow,i think 65 may be a bit cool but try it first!
Better than to hot......but try for around 75 degrees if there slow?

Cool MT,it is ok to peep just keep the water up to the stems!
BE back..anyone else got success?

well i tried my heating pad to see what temps i got it got them up to 83 which i decided was too hot so i put a shirt doubled up between the heating pad and the pot so maybe that will work better ill check when i get back over there. id really like to get about 75-78 degrees so hopefully this works

Heya Lou good tutorial here. When my plants are old enough i think ill try this. My only problem is that i think my temos might be too low for it. Right now i use bubblers to grow out my plants(i love the growth i get with DWC by the way).

The water temps i see with these DWC's is about 68 F, but these are plastic tubs wrapped in several layers of duct tape. My ambient temps are 75 to 77f. Which is much lower than your reccommended 75f to 80f. The plastic tubs seem to be insulating the water and keeping the temps low.

I think ill let a steel pot of water sit out and see what temp it gets to. Hopefully i can get closer to your suggested temps with a metal container.

Thanks again for your time.

Ok friends,3rd try and its GOOD!!!!!!!..100% again!

Ok friends,3rd try and its GOOD!!!!!!!..100% again!

PROOF!!!

As i said i did 3 clones a week ago,you will see also
what i meant about them not so comfy in cooler temps?
THe leaf like i said got a tad bit of rot or drying on sides..
an tips but there fine and dandy with healthy roots still ok!
So it is ok to clone in around a room temp of 68 degrees.....
Never checked my water temps but about 65 an no less id say?

First pic ill show the top of cloner, the 3 right down the center
are the ones done first my ice,BananaLou and my pineapple sk#1.
THe other clones where just mailed to me yesterday....on each
of the sides the are 5 new clones of Chemdog!!!!!!!!!..thanks friend of IC..

No biggy but notice the curling of the leaf, thats what tells me about temps!

See the ones vertically down center there the ones i say where not so comfy but made it in planty time.......
THe ones to the left and to the right are new clones the chemdogs!

Ok this pics is your PROOF,again right down the center vertically 3 clones
all showing healthy roots and ready to be transplanted into soil for moms!

You know what they say 3rd time GOOD!!!!!!
 :muahaha: ripped them clones off with my dirty nails haha,no clean knife needed just pinch'em an chuck'em in the bubbler for a week! :joint:

Well, I took my cuttings last night and besides taking a minute today to figure out "what that new buzzing sound is" everything is going smooth.

Thanks for taking the time to share this, I am new and have had the success I needed cloning twice before but only got 15-20% those times. I have my pot on a heat mat set to 75. It's in the basement and with the temps starting to fluctuate thought it couldn't hurt. Took nine cuttings and REALLY need as many as I can get! Will keep you updated.

what was the humming? i have the same problem, its not the pump but i think it was the airstones vibrating and bubbles.. i set it on the floor in the closet and you can hear it in the ceiling. put it on a towel still can hear it.

lou do you have any problems like this?

LOL! I meant that I have never had an air pump hooked up so the pump itself threw me for a loop until I remembered its presence.
But, you're right about that and I have to guess it is the pump itself or the airstones against the steel. I am above it now and to me it just seems like the pumps noise can be heard.

I just rooted 15 clones of various strains in under two weeks in one of these... only mine was clear plastic. the aluminum foil top makes it real easy to work with. One clone wasn't showing any signs of rooting and I didn't want to leave the air pump and aquarium heater on just for it, so I just left it in the stagnant water for two days and today woke up to it having 4 roots sticking out

Lou, today is day 7 for my clones that i took from flowering plants, as of yesterday day 6 i would say that they are still 90 percent as green as they were but some of the leave tips are starting to pale to yellow, I keep my water at a constant 78 degrees now the first 2 or 3 days it was at 65 cuase i didnt have a thermometer. I just looked at the bottoms of the stems tho and no new growth and the stems aren't quite as white on the tips anymore (the inside of the tip) so i was wondering if you think they will still root? I am new to this whole cloning thing and messed up my first time with rockwool and i really dont wanna have to reorder my genetics again. any help is appreciated lou

also i was wondering i used distilled water to fill the pot with but when it was low the other day all i had was bottled water and i think it had mag in it. but there is a white looking little bubbles all around the edge of the pot do u think i should change the water with fresh distilled water?

Hey friends good to hear results!

Gotta kinda tweek the comfert level of the clones?
THe leaves can go yellow if there are to many leaves
for the clones uptake of water??..cut the leafs in half?
Sometimes that happens to me also as i showed here...
Dont let yellowing scare you unless its at the top of clones?
THere may be to many nodes to support and the bottom leafs
fall of normaly but still keeping the top ok.......

Always change the water if you see scum around the pot???
THats a bad sign of the water and clones dont like scummy water?
GO with a spring water or drinking water if your tap sucks, the distilled
water may be to dead......not tasty for clones???...my tap is bleachy
assed water but they do fine as you can see!!!

douknow, got any pics or can you tell me how you cut your clones?
THey can be to young and limp,or to old and stiff to root quickly??

hey lou, thanks for the quick replys, as of right now i dont have any pictures im just really busy and i dont even know if i have enough posts. but i can explain as best i can about the clones. i took them off 6 diff plants about 9 days into flower, they all already have a little bud at the top i cut a lower branch off each of the plants then made the final cut at the closest node to 4 inches long cut at a 45 with sharp scissors i soaked in alcohol then rinsed with distilled water. some of them i cut right on the node and some right under. these were all lower branchs and had no yellowing when cut off one of the stems did have a red tent but i think it was the blueberry. I think i already told ya but my first two or three days the temps were down to 65 but since then they have been at 78 degrees which feels kinda warm but the clones are all still looking good to me except for the pailing of some leave tips but nothing has just wilted up and died so far so i am def doing better than with the rock wool. thanks for this really easy way of cloning lou i just hope that maybe its even to simple for me to F*** up. I have a black thumb but love good buds, shits frustrating
