So I ran into way too many hermie problems with the RKU. I've decided to cull the 3 in flower and all the clones I had taken... It's a shame, the smoke was pretty good regardless. I've decided to pop 3 more tranq eles and 3 Lotus Larry. the Lotus Larry was by a friends request.

Shitty that it happened... but one thing I've learned is if things start to go very badly during early flower, then cull. Don't sit around and hope it fixes itself, hope you can fix it, or think it'll be okay. just cull, and start over asap so you don't skip a beat. I was lucky I had a 707 headband in the mix so it's not a complete loss.

Wise words. I do the same. If something cant handle the tiniest of stresses, its OUT. And its always good to have a go-to or 2 running at all times.

Mine hermed on one strain but I just plucked daily for two weeks. Got 1-3 each day but there were no seeds when I trimmed.

How potent is the purple dream? Is it sativa leaning or what? I git some seeds and all I could really find that it was very limited pnw strain.

It was like the first time I encountered spider mites... I was like COME AT ME BRO! and oh boy did they ever come at me. I thought I could fight it and scratch to harvest but the harvest was awful, looked awful, smelled awful, literally jsut threw it away and wasted a month flowering plants of no use. from then on I vowed to just tear down and clean if I ever encountered a problem such as that.

That's exactly what I was doing! Except every time I'd check there would be more and more... I thought possibly accidental pollination since I have males and am currently working with pollen, but I was also extremely careful. I checked the 707 HB that was also in the room and see no balls, no seed filled kalyx's, and no premature dying of pistils. That tells me definitely hermie. Sadly picking at the buds every few days isn't worth the effort imo

As for the purple dream, my pheno is extremely potent. It is a very VERY intense indica high. the structure is amazing, very short, but side branches well. Extremely dense nugs. Purple dream is by far my favorite sleepy-time smoke, and has been for almost 2 years now. I gave a friend of mine who is a weed snob and has been smoking for 20+ years a gram. He said he wake and baked with it after a normal day, and went right back to sleep for 4 hours.

I think I read somewhere that Purple dream is the last "legit" strain to come from GDP before he lost all his plants or something? I don't know exactly, except that they're really rare and were never for sale.

If you've got some seeds, I'd suggest popping them. especially if you like colorful, sweet flavored indica's. I only popped 2 seeds (both were female) and found this one keeper, I'm sure there are some real gems in your seeds.

I love this strain, especially for it's KO effect. I am hoping this reveg works, I would really hate to lose this strain.

I say you pop them all!

HSO 707 Headband:

I'm not sure if it's because I'm still sick... but it smells like Hi-C orange drank. It's something very different for me, and I kinda like it! I like the way this is growing. I'm hoping it really packs on weight, it's pretty damn frosty already, so I'm excited to see what this brings!

good to hear! I am surprised I have power at all. sounds like the same conditions I am experiencing. I actually woke up this morning to the power flickering off then right back on. Really lucky so far!

well, I've been surviving this terrible winter we've been having this month up here in the North East... I got some pics today and thought I'd update.

HSO 707 Headband:

had some "hermie" issues... I popped off all the seeds that were visible about a week ago and I haven't seen any signs of more seeds since. I'm thinking some pollen may have got on my watering canister early in flowering.... if so I should be all set and I have cleaned up since the pollen harvest.

Blue Tara Male x PD Female 1:

I'm loving the look of this plant. It's growing a lot like the purple dream it came from.

Blue Tara Male x PD Female 2:

this plant is about a week or two behind the other one. similar look, but it's got more side branching and is a little more bushy.

that's all I've really got going on in flower right now. I may post some veg pics a little later

I have a feeling we're in same area haha.

I run Mars hydro. Have had great results with them!!!!!! I don't run high wattage ones but the 300w one. For my previous grows it has been amazing. Great light penetrating, no heat, keeps plants short and bushy.

so the mars2 700w (3-380 draw)? These LED things are a bit of a mindfuck at times.

I'm using 2 1200w (520-600 draw) and I love it. I went from a 600w HPS, to a 1000w HPS, to the 1200. I don't get the yield I do with the 1000w hps, but I feel I've got healthier, more colorful, denser nugs with overall better quality and a much cheaper electric bill. I love them, great investment so far in my opinion and I'm glad yours are working out well too!

I hope you're staying safe and warm! I haven't lost power (yet) and I'm praying I don't at all. I'm gonna go shovel so I can open my front door now. I will post some pics of the 707 HB tonight... she's turned such a beautiful shade of purple/black... ugh I love it!
