It's Azadirachtin poisoning

Azamax, Azatrol, Aza-Sol and a number of other "Organic" organicides include it. Each ounce of neem oil contains between 200 and 2000ppm of azadirachtin. These products use an extract of it. I'm not sure if heavy neem oil use also triggers this reaction, to date I'm only sure of azadirachtin based products.

It's an allergic reaction, benadryl helps relieve symptoms. Activated charcoal helps pull it out of the body faster. Your body does not break down aza very quickly, lightly contaminated cannabis causes issues with continued use. One bowl of heavily contaminated cannabis will trigger a response in minutes, with those who have a stronger allergy.

Nausea every morning
Cyclic vomiting
Pain around the kidneys and lower spine
Slow/Gassy digestion
Muscle tension
Flu like feeling (heavy overdose)
Hypothermia

Symptoms relieved by hot baths/showers, benadryl, clean cannabis.

Continued exposure will lead to dangerous digestive issues. Enemas and careful laxative use (mirilax) help with slow/stopped digestion. Bland diet, free from heavily processed and fake food ingredients helps immensely.

End up in the ER? Tell them you quit using cannabis and are having a serious digestive crisis. When they know about CHS and you using cannabis they will simply send you home with some anti-nausea pills and a couple pain killers.

I can't take these threads seriously. The replies are always the same, usually from the same people.

The problem isn't cannabis, cannabis is the solution. I imagine alcoholics use similar circular thinking.

The common logic in the cannabis community that a differing opinion is "hating".

TEEEEEEERUMPIMANIA

Kneejerk reactions produce poor result. Like your future president. Automatically designating CHS as Reefer Madness maligns the many (as noted in the case study, a review of many subjects) who clearly experience it. Sloughing it off as "lightweights greening out" is ego/machismo. I know more than a few lifelong heavy smokers/growers who describe the symptoms to a T, without prompting or previous knowledge of CHS.

Don't worry, they won't take our Precious away or hurts it.

The "everything green is gold" mantra. A large percentage believe all things relating to cannabis are inately good. Any suggestion other wise produces the replies seen above.

A little objectivity goes a far way, they call them rose coloured glasses for a reason. If you refuse to see anything but what you want to see, you limit your view of the world and pidgeonhole yourself with bias.

You would think this would happen to the Rastas who smoke a shit load of weed. Then again in some places they don't smoke the flower and believe it's bad for you. They only smoke hash, India is the place I think.

Maybe this syndrome is due to the downregulation of cannabinoid receptors that happens when you smoke any amount but taken to the extreme. Downregulation would cause the opposite effects of cannabis leading to nausea similar to how the cb1 blocking drug romanibant was once used for weight loss. Some of us have less of these receptors to begin with. Schizophrenics have more than normal. They are also more prone to use bud and I would bet that they are more resistant to this syndrome than your average smoker.

Used to regularly listen to a podcast by a Londoner called Dopefiend. I listened for a few years. This was several years ago.

One of his regulars on the show started having abdominal pain and vomiting episodes. His only relief was taking a hot bath. Got so bad it changed his life. I remember this went on for months.

During one emergency room visit, he was diagnosed with Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome. He said it was explained that his heavy weed use very slightly upset his body's ability to regulate internal temperature. That caused the abdominal issues. And, that's why the hot bath sorted the problem.

Anyway, he cut way back on weed and back to a normal life.

Some other mid eastern cultures look down on smoking flowers. Fine for them, there's plenty of hash there.

ITS THE STUFF THEY PUT IT IN THE WATER I TELL YA!!!

or Aliens...

From what i've read this is the Scientific way of saying "Greening out"
http://hightimes.com/medicinal/what-...esis-syndrome/

So basically what i take from this all is that light weights need to smoke a lil less of the good stuff which is now easily available. I mean i think? I'm not from Colorado so dont know what they are smoking.

I always associated 'greening out' with newbies. Or somebody who ate some really strong edibles.

It's Azadirachtin poisoning, plain and simple.

You can smoke all the clean cannabis you want, no issue. The minute you start using aza contaminated cannabis the symptoms start creeping in. Heavier the contamination, faster and harder the onset of CHS symptoms.

What a can't f'ing stand?

I ask growers if they've used any pesticides and they reply "Oh, gee, no way, I'm ""All Organic."" Then I probe deeper and find out they use an Azadirachtin product. WTF do you think Azadirachtin is? Organic oatmeal cookies?

It's a PESTICIDE. A compound used to kill off pests. Who gives a crap if it's organic?

Nice your group hasn't any issues.

No mild nausea every morning? Mild back pain near the kidneys? Nobody with previous injuries having slightly more pain, more often? It's very subtle for most folks, wicked nasty for the more sensitive.

I've personally used it indoor and have had greenhouse grown cause the same issues. Not sure about full sun grown. I know it's definitely still in the soil after 70+ days of indoor. It's also definitely still in the plant at 70+ days.

Azadirachtin is an organic compound derived from neem.
