i have a friend who to my knowledge has never smoked weed.doesnt smoke ciggs.but he is serious as a heart attack when he says that being around weed smoke makes him physically sick.i initially thought is was all in his head but maybe im wrong.i guess you can be allerigic to virtually anything.i dont smoke as much as i used too but i wouldnt have very many friends if i couldnt hang around them just cause theres pot smoke in the air!lol

am from Europe and here we smoke usually with tobacco,
that is not a healthy way and i was refer to this kind of smoking
of cannabis.

Understand if you are from states and you smoke pure joints
whithouth tobacco,that is a healthier way for sure... but still
think that ingesting a cannabis,oil,edibles is a best way
if we talk about medical and most beneficial for body.

yeah, this doesn't sound right to me.. I haven't missed a day of smoke, in over 6 yrs now. and I've been smoking on and off for 30 yrs. never gotten nausea… like someone said earlier, it helps my stomache..

maybe these cases are allergic. but i bet that they are from ppl ingesting, smoking all the pgrs n molds n such.. plain n simple..

anything is possible I suppose. however, the only time I have ever vomited from cannabis, is when I got way to big of a hit from a bong and accidently swallowed a lot of smoke.

I've actually had this disease (twice!), and there is also something called 'cyclic vomiting syndrome' which is basically the same thing, but not necessarily tied to cannabis use. For whatever it's worth, it's no joke and not some kind of nebulous, mild set of symptoms that a hypochondriac might attribute to an upset stomach or occasional nausea. I was in the shower for 6 straight hours, constantly puking on myself, until I had to go to the emergency room, and was then hospitalized for a couple days because I had become so dehydrated in that half-a-day my kidneys had stopped functioning correctly, and they had to pump me full of 8(!) bags of IV fluids, so it's not the kind of shit that leaves you questioning "Maybe I've had that. Maybe EVERYBODY'S had that?" or whether you're symptoms are imaginary, or psychosomatic. It's "in the hospital for several days, with an EKG on your heart" rather than "dude got too high, and almost puked".

It's not the kind of thing they can really test, or diagnose concretely, so the first time it happened to me, about five years ago, the ER doc brought up the idea that it might be this cyclic vomiting shit that could be cannabis related and I totally blew it off and was thinking "pffft. not fucking likely, pal. Sounds like some alarmist anti-drug propaganda to me." But then the EXACT same thing happened to me again, about 4 months ago, and after some more thousands in hospital bills, I had to open my mind a little bit and look into the disease and it all matched up perfectly with my symptoms & experiences, so I don't deny it any longer.

...still smoking that weed, tho. Trying to moderate a little better.

I think I've participated in a thread like this b4 on icmag where ppl have complained of the same syndrome. It's real alright. But the question is what is causing it.

This ONE person's experience has been used to spread this story across the entire media spectrum.

Do they give ANY stats on how prevalent this is? NO! So you cannot draw ANY generalized conclusion about cannabis based upon the data.

This one guy did say he tried cannabis from various sources and had the same reaction from all.

So it's a personal intolerance to cannabis is all. Not that cannabis is dangerous.

Compare even this extreme case to a typical reaction to your average PHARMA drug where reactions can range from rash to instant death! And that is perfectly legal!

You never know how you're gonna react to a drug until you try it. And cannabis is NOT for everyone. Never has been.

If cannabis makes you sick, don't smoke it or ingest it.

This can explain why some ppl who try cannabis for the first time never try it again. Perhaps they're listening to their bodies?

It's been my experience that the vast percentage of those folks you describe as "listening to their bodies" are usually drunk the first time they try it.

I know that when I drink and get even just a buzz, as soon as I smoke, I turn white as a ghost, start sweating, get the spins really bad and need to lie down. It's not a good time. When I'm drunk then I smoke, the effects are 10 times worse. It always ends up with me sleeping on the bathroom floor after speaking to Ralph on the big white phone.

I try to explain to people who have never smoked pot - "Don't do it when your drunk. You'll get sick and have a bad time." You'd think just one would listen to me.

I know a bunch of people who roll 'dirty spliffs' as I call them. My cousin for example claims "it tumps strong" which is his way of saying the thicker smoke is pleasing to him. he breaks up the grabba or fronto and blends it with his herb.
When he rolls with this trash i can't smoke with him. When he comes to my apartment he has to take the elevator downstairs and go outside into the snowy Canadian winter to smoke that shit.

A remember a friend of mine in high school who very occasionally enjoyed getting high but quit because every time she smoked she immediately got a painful stomach ache. She wasnt a heavy or chronic smoker by any means,maybe 3-4 times a month.

Most of folks smoke tobacco with weed not only for streching but cause they are addicted with tobacco..

and since all do this way around you get learn and then is hard to stop to smoke tobacco mixed with weed...

They do not mention other meds people are on when this occurs. I have only seen it with SSRI usage combined with cannabis.
