Maybe I don't have the real deal. I get sweet candy smell and the smoke is sour candy hashy exhale. Definitely do not get any odor like road kill. Lol.

You don't if the stacking is that nice and the buds smell sweet. Deathstar makes more single buds, not whole plant kolas, and it smells ridiculously diesely and skunky like a carcass on the side of the road. Cherry plays a role in her smells, but it's more subtle. Looks like top shelf smoke though, as fake cuts tend to be when dialed, because, hey, someone had to think it could be deathstar or pass as deathstar somewhere down the line. It just sucks how hard it is to verify the authenticity of your genetics these days

Exactly spot on. Traded gg4 for death Star. Its one nice indica growing plant that roots in 5 days and grows thick stalks and big colas. I can see purples coming through. Very very dense. I did pk the shit out of her the first couple weeks as I do with gg4 in an effort to reduce stretch. I'm using 1000w eye hortilux, but my 1k e gavitas will be getting some 5.5' DS , or fake DS.lol. I can smell a hint of rubber. Just not a bad smell like my critical has. A rotten fruity smell. Could be some pheno, but its pretty damn tasty. I can't wait to try this round in a few weeks. I need to track down some real DS and smoke it so I know what's up.lol.

Hey maybe it is legit. I've given the cut out a few times and never recognize the buds that come back, so I think it's one of those strains that can really vary from grow op to grow op. The little bits of purple sound like the Ds I know and love, she gets little purple specks

If u stunt it or pull it early u don't get near the skunk smell. I think between 65 to 70 days is my sweet spot for max pungency. Ive gone 75 and it definitely lost a little funk. But it swells like a mofo if u can make it to 70.

and yes, every environment will churn out differences in end product. this is part of the reason people have trouble identifying if they have the real cut.

Thanks for the response. With all the cuts floating around for so cheap I was hoping an elite trade for trade might be a better chance at the real deal. I will take her to 65 and see where the stink meter stands for sure. Everything about this cut says it's real, but wtf do I know I never smoked it before.lol

Very well could be. has the sativa looking leafs for the most part. And it looks to be a lateral stretcher which d star is. u wont get much of the skunk smell till late flower imo.

I'll let u know when my cut comes back, ill be picking them up soon. My cut that I'm getting back was from Ohio from five or six years ago, we got her before there was a hype around her in michigan like there was a year or two ago when that was all any club had for topshelf besides all the chem4 goin around at the time. We didn't even know what deathstar was back then we just knew there was some fire in Ohio, discovered the hype behind it well after having her dialed in. It's been since last summer since I had her though so she's not that fresh on the memory as far as vegging structure.

I usually take the deathstar about 70-77 days depending. The longest i have ever let it go was 85 days, and dried with leaves on. Lets just say my personal stash now goes for... you guessed it, 85 days. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuunnnnnnkkkkkkkyyyyyyy! And too damn potent.

I liked the high better at twelve weeks, because I didn't get pain attacks, but all my friends have fallen in love with that racey sour d high. Going past eighty days completely shifted the flavor for me though, I would have sworn itwastotally different strain if I didn't grow it myself

Here's a death star clone,, finally healing up after getting cold as shit..
Pretty sure it's legit,, sourced from a reputable grower in s.e Michigan.. I've always enjoyed death star, one of the real ones for sure, and it has been spread in a similar fashion as the gg#4 in Ohio and Michigan..

Could it b lemon g?? That's supposed to have that candy aroma,, n it came from same areas,, could be a Jedi,, cuz that's ds x sfv,, which would also be candy/lemon..

That shot looks a lot more like the deathstar. If you had the lemon g the buds would be fluffy as hell, they're polar opposites in bud formation, deathstar is super dense

Yeah, that's definitely not the lemon g,, but still looks different than death star I've seen.. maybe it's those gavitas. If those things are making the d star stack like that, than I need to seriously get a room with some more clearance... good job, jw 23
