Theyll so fine bud, my ez cloned sucked because the all the parts ran submerged and got the water hot, I either got slime or put a frozen bottle of water in the res after the grow store guy said he had the same problem, but the water just got too cold and they took too long to root. The old ez coiners suckkkk

They're a bit finicky with water temps, but they work excellent once ya get them to work.

I had the best results using nothing but water in the machine. No food source for the bacteria and slime to feed on. I'd soak my clones in Dip N Gro for a minute or so then load into the water only cloner.

15 min on 15 min off pump cycle helps to prevent the water from getting too warm. I used a TMP-Dne which would turn my pump on/off according to temp, but I'm not sure it'd work in all scenarios.

Larger woodier cuts worked best for me.


That said I like my rooters in dome. Taking a bit longer right now due to the colder temps in my basement, but I like the minimalistic approach not having to deal with more equipment to do such a simple task. T5 a few feet over a tray of root riots w/ dome gets the job done.

Not sure on population,, but Always heard it was a two females involved in the making of d star.. and I've read about team d star back crossing to a sou d.. but never head them talk about a male..

Not saying it's not true,, but I would b leary of any newer seed co. stating things like this.. especially in michigan.. people around here are notorious for making shit up

That looks like her bro, deathstar and headband were my only good cuts for a LONG time, the fans look right and the nodes are zig zaggy. I could have sworn it was a sensi star male they used but I'm far from an expert on the matter

And I could easily have info twisted,, I gotta 're read some of the threads on it.. not many "elite" clone onlys impress me,, but d.s always did,, and so does glue.. I tossed everything I had,, keeping my sour kush"forever" and my 18, and gg4,, & now deathstar.. that's all I need.. can die happy now

Been running the D Star for 6 years now..cut came strait from the Team in Ohio..as I am a Hoosier native myself...keeping it alive and thriving in Mendo. Doing some work with her...and yes have made a Death Star x Sour D IBL (Rez). Currently selecting males to back cross to the DS to get a stabilized Death Star male to breed with. Will keep y'all up to date on any further work on this project.

acridlab, looks like a legit one from over here.

I also just got the GG#4 so I've finally got a decent stable of some elites - Deathstar, GG#4, Lemon G. The Lemons are going to have to wait until the fall for another run, but I'm excited to full up some spaces with the glue and dstar.

I've also got Darkstar from TH seeds. This is supposed to be Purple Kush x Mazar I-Sharif, but a buddy after having saw it is confident it's the deathstar. Perhaps it was a mislabel, or perhaps Deathstar was an undisclosed parent in the cross, but it's certainly some dense top shelf nuggetry resembling deathstar. I wasn't paying close enough attention during the grow see notice if she had the exaggerated node stagger.

Here are some shots of her.. given to me as Darkstar as opposed to Deathstar. I'm not really sure what's what so I'm going to run her again next to my legit deathstar cut. It's some bomb whatever it is.

Ding ding ding. We have a winner!! Thats the D for sure man! Purple lines on the stems, zig zag pattern nodes, Leaf style ect... If anyone is looking for an example of dstar in veg, this is a good one. Enjoy it man.

@Farmer- That sure as hell, no doubt in my mind has dstar in it at the least. If its not the original cut i would be surprised. I can see the sour D genes in the leaves in those pics.. Dstar likes to get calyxed up like that when its done right and taken the proper amount of time. Good job. Keep me posted on the side by side.

Idk, dark star smells just like deathstar if you find the right pheno, and the plant purples like that, my deathstar always got a maroon finish when she was done flowering, always looked like a molybdenum defficiency when she faded at the end. Dark star is mazar x purple kush if I'm not mistaken. I had a # of good dark star from my friends dad, and all my buddy's buying ounces kept thinking it was my deathstar they thought I just flowered it too long, it cracked me up that with such an obviously suggestive and confusing name that it made a pretty good look alike for having no diesel or sensistar in her.

Im gonna have to get some packs of that darkstar because it is just uncanny how much it resembles the deathstar. Maybe thats the way fate had it. Im sure anything could be recreated from deep ancestral genes like that. Now if we only could trace back the lineage of sensi star, and then (i dont even wanna say it) ECSD... What a nightmare. Maybe this Darkstar variety is a key to the past for these genetics.
