It has everything to do with evolution.

If 6 fingers were an advantage over 5 fingers, then that's how we would have evolved. Environment influences how genes are expressed. Environment determines which genes are successful and which aren't. Environment even provides the trigger for genetic mutation which leads evolution.

You can't have one without the other.
mutation is not necessarily evolution, it must survive and be stabilized in a certain level of the population, that is the time when you can call it evolution.

Strange... I never saw this.
I put 125w cfl 1 inch from plants, no burn
I let my plants hug the cool tubes, no burn..
I won't do it on flowering as trichomes are different and are quite sensitive to heat.
I only saw those burn symptoms under leds, but again not in all grows so grower error probably but up close they do cause damage somewhat, I bet on spot heat issues with cone diodes boards but that's just my guess..

I don't know what planet you live on (Haha – see what I did there. OK, no-one else will get it except you and I. . . .), but EVs piss on combustion engines. Battery technology is affected by cold, but hydrogen technology is not.

Keep up with the times man! :rasta:

We had a couple weeks of -40f recently and not a single electric car was working..........it was a hard dose of reality for a great many owners.
Some day it will be where it will be workable in the real world...........just like led lights for growing.

People often ignore the way the actual light is being made and the properties of it.
Maybe that's the key.
But really, if we ignore the hype and money for a sec, a lot of people report that they get good results with leds, we can't dismiss that, sure some are biased.
I never judge according to no science and no human, I want to see feel hear taste, I need someone that's growing a verified elite clone under them...
I truly believe that I haven't smoked a good bud under leds yet because the genetics nowadays are just mids 90%.
But when I say this I remember all the times I got some outdoor bud in the last years, not premium or anything, and it was just better in every department, taste, effect, resin from every indoor led or hps for that matter. Reminded me of the good old days.
So I'm like.. wth ?
Isn't this supposed to be a step up, more light, more spectrum, more ease... So what's going on ?
Still no explanation as to why people complain on this, how come outdoor bud is suddenly better ?
I mean they use the same seeds, maybe the sun is just pushing all those things that make weed great like it always does, and leds just don't ?
All those tests about garlic, lavander, essential oils extracts, all being negatively influenced from leds...

Let's just say I'm reserving judgement, until all the facts come out - Dave Chappelle :D

What you prefer Zach, outdoor or indoor ?
Or what you think has been more good ?
I used to and still do love good outdoor, although indoor was always better for me in strength of effects, terps etc
This i believe was the case for many years.. outdoors was mostly lame because people just spread seeds, not choosen clones.
The killer sfv og clone I ran outside was totally amazing indeed, look and smoke like any indoor bud, which made me wonder what will happen to him indoor (was unable to grow indoors at that time)

i don't think an indoor grow can touch a good outdoor under the sun.. it just adds something that an led/hps/whatever can't match... i tried outdoors for a few years, but being surrounded by water on 3 sides, i can't get the plants past mid/end sept b4 bud rot sets in, so i gave up and have to smoke whatever i grow indoors...

I couldn't be happier with the quality I'm getting using both types of lighting. I saved a ton on electrical use by swapping out 4 hid lights for 3 LED lights. If I had 100% Automated environmental controls I'd be a happy grower. Like all things in life without the cash that aint gonna happen lol.
