well thx for sharing the secret of yours....woz't a big secret nways...jaws learnd me that rule...he said more then a few times 'keep it simple' he woz right...i had 2 learn that the hard way :pointlaug

nways i have some Q for ya...i woz reading the old part time thread..and found some answers inthere...but i'd like some confirmation pz....

it seems that i have a other plant that started out bi...but now at the fourth node she splits into a tri...( mind boggle plant)i've read that its possible that it becommes a tri and stays that way ...but it also could revert back if i read correctly...can i assume it stays that way if reverted from bi to tri?

now also this....i read that you woz looking for this answer.....Tri x tri = tri offspring....i never found the answer in the thread :chin:
can i assume it is not Tri offspring...coz you still looking 2 capture the trait...?

i know you told me that it most likely is the second generation that shows this trait...but is selection the only way 2 capture a trait?

Damak, keep us updated on your work.

Core, The questions are getting bigger. Ok, a tri that was born bi, can become bi, stay tri, become quads, or put out multiple branches from each leaf node, I've had and included them all in various threads. Second question, tri x tri = ???? thats the question. I've had males and female tri's, but not at the same time. You would have thought I would have kept cuts around wouldn't you. But I didn't for the first few years as smokeability was more important to me. Now I have that, I can chase tri's again. Also not every run can be a seed run, I have to have smoke too. I have the tools I needed now though. A line with lots of tri's in it, their tri father, a central cola of the faithfull male that also put out a tri branch, and a tri branch one of the other male tri's put out (one of the traitors that reverted to being bi). So now I just have to find a tri female from that line, the seeds are popping as we speak. Shouldn't be long now to find out the answer to the question I have been asking for a while. I suspect the answer will be a higher concentration of tri's but not exclusively tris. The point is, each generation that has a tri parent, especially if the bi parent came from a tri parent too, then the higher the ratio of off spring likely to be tri's.

Hi Alex, yep still working on it.

Hey guys, well we had a little pow wow going last night on a coarse of action for my problema. Had a lot of good input. I flushed the system for a hr with clearex today. Then I got my ec at 1.2. with fresh nutes. I think I am at the beginning stages of root rot because I saw a huge pH swing this morning before I changed the res. Just as expected but it was a swing up not down. Anyhow I put some hydroguard for that. Got my fingers crossed.. As I have seen what root rot can do from my aero days and it is ugly.

From Ecco homo: why i am so clever? by F nietzsche

6...

All things considered, I could never have survived my youth without Wagnerian music. For I seemed condemned to the society of Germans. If a man wishes to rid himself of a feeling of unbearable oppression., he may have to take to hashish. Well, I had to take to Wagner. Wagner is the counterpoison to everything essentially German-he is a poison, I do not, deny it. From the moment that Tristan was arranged for the piano-my compliments, Herr von Biilow!-I was a Wagnerite. I deemed Wagner's previous works beneath methey were too common, too "German. . . . But to this day I,am still looking for a work to equal Tristan in dangerous fascination, that gruesome yet sweet quality of infinity; I seek among all the arts in vain. All the bizarreries of Leonardo da Vinci lose their charm with the first note of Tristan. It is absolutely Wagner's non plifs idtra; the Mastersingers and the Ring were mere relaxation to him. To become more healthy-this is a step backwards for a nature like Wagner's. I regard it as a first-class bit of good luck to have lived at the right time, and to have lived precisely among Germans, in order to be ripe for this work: so strongly in me works the curiosity of the psychologist. The world must be a poor thing for him who has never been unhealthy enough for this "voluptuousness of Hell": it is allowable, it is even imperative, that one here employ a mystic formula. I suppose I know better than any one else the prodigies of which Wagner was capable, the fifty worlds of strange ecstasies to reach which no one but he had win,-s strong enough; and as I'am today sufficiently powerful to turn even the most dubious and dangerous things to my own advantage, and thus to grow more powerful, I name Wagner as the greatest benefactor of my life. The bond which unites us is the fact that we have suff ered greater agony, even at each other's hands, than most -men of this century are able to bear; and this will associate our names forever. For, just as Wagner is merely a misunderstanding among Germans, so surely am I, and ever will be. You must first have two centuries of psychological and artistic discipline, my dear countrymen! But you can never turn back the hands of the clock.

The quote is second sentence , sorry to bore you D

Damak, yeah root rot can be a pisser.

mtnjohn, looks like kooki solved it.

Alex :)

Kooki, thanks, from the quote it sounds to me like he was parraphrasing a popular saying of the time rather than proposing it, due to the fact he asserts that his own escape was through the music of wagner. You can never bore me with quotes from the masters.

Major, nice to have you join us. Let me know how long it takes to catch up, if it takes longer than an hour now, I'll start a new thread.

I can so sympathise with what he's written. I essentially am german, but having lived elsewhere, it's sometimes hard to get along with general "german-ness", if you know what I mean. I think i'll have to have a look at some of Nietzsche's work. :chin:

Hey Alex, Yeah he's very arogant in his style of writing, but I enjoy that. What he does manage is a flow of words, even though it was written and translated into english, it almost reads as if written in english, to my english eyes. If you read him in German, I'd be interested to hear if it reads the same way. After Plato introduced morality he was the first to return to the starting point of all western philosophy, man being the measure of all things. Everything was relative to Neitsche, There is no good and evil merely the moral judgment of man, or something similar. (Easy to see how nutters misunderstood him).
Core, I dont mind questions at all, although if you are starting your project off, I wouldnt be too fussy about which plants you use. If you get something exhibiting a tri trait, use it, they aren't too frequent for most people.

Jake the peg (doobedoobedoobedoo) .... anyway onto serious things, :D
Glad u appreciate the quote GMT :) i find it fascinating how he infers that he feels oppressed in his homeland and listens to what he describes as the anti german poison wagner as his escape almost, yet further says he is glad that he was born in that time to be oppressed cos that makes him what he is or makes him pursue things that he pursues (psychology philosophy etc) interesting stuff that u can read over n over n see diff points of view from just one mans writing....
Well i found an odd thing on one of my current top44 plants.. just one branch on the plant decided to have this tri trait. The rest of plant is fine. First it started normal two fan leaves, then 3 and 3 again and currently the grow tip is still 3 ... heres pic (not sure of sex yet)
The branch is bottom centre,u can see the one to right of it is normal 2 fans growth

There's really no need to be down on male tri's. They are just as important as female tri's when it comes to breeding.
Kooki, yeah, I guess that's where he got his idea of what doesn't kill ya makes ya stronger (I think that was him). My tri line started with a girl just like that one kooki. A single tri branch on an orange bud x blueberry cross. I cloned it and used it to breed with, but thinking back, simply pollinating it would have done pretty much the same thing. Do you have any plans for it?
