Lazy Growing

Hi TML,
I couldn't decide if it was living off something I didn't want or if it was something I didn't want. I went with what I assumed was the safest option, and squashed em. Not too nature friendly I know.
The next thread, well, I started out here with the evolution thread that started the tri experiment, so now I've returned to that, I thought I might do the Evo II thread, just to finish the tail off this year, as by the end of 07 I should have the Shamrock ready.

How goes things? I am going to have to surrender to the rot. Its all good. Going back to old school growing till I can figure stuff out. Summer is approachin out here and I have never run so many lamps so I may have to cut back. I dunno. Time will tell.

Just really wanted to stop in and say hi and I will catchup when I can.

Hi Big D, thanks for the comps. This thread wil continue actually, I like it, so any bifoliars or experiments will be done here for fun, and just tri stuff will go in the other thread, and maybe some detailed discussions on genetics, as I'm quite interested in all that now.
Hey Damak, Sorry to hear you couldn't get ontop of things. So what are you switching back to? Pebbles? DWC? Things go well ish here, pop into the new thread and have a look around. I have one more complete grow to do here, then I'm turning the indoor sun off, and just revegging a smokey girl and a bruised nuts girl that I have but didnt clone. Doesn't generate much heat to keep em under a few watts of cfls, and saves work training em while they're in storage so to speak. They'll be joined by the pick of tri's one of each sex, and spend the summer in taking it easy.

So speaking of experiments and playing about with stuff, Here's one I topped earlier. When I say earlier, I mean really early, as in too early to be serious, but I wanted to play, and I have enough of these to play. Bets anyone?

Hey MGJ, good to see you placing your bets with the house again. Its a tough call, but I reckon (to turn a phrase) "life will find a way" lol. May not, doesn't matter it wont be kept around, but I just wanted to see how early is too early, I accept that topping prior to that node would be futile lol.Once new shoots appear, if they do, it'll get chopped.

Thanks, what do you mean by get away with? Never see any hermies in my plants if you're refering to that. I just don't worry about light leeks, as I've never used anything that hermies in their ancestry, so they dont either. No timers are not lazier than flipping a switch when I get up and then again sometime later. They can start fires if they go wrong, and that causes stress, even if they don't they cause worry that they might. So I reckon its lazier to not worry about whether they get 8 hours one day and 14 the next, because it isn't that important really.

lol, lazy growing is about growing without stress to yourself, don't worry about stuff, not even if you're being lazy enough. So long as you arent growing a strain with a breeders warrning about light leeks, you should be fine.

mmmmmh i topt 1 of my Cheezy Bastard that way and its doing great and cut both 1 cola style....i'm gonne try and use it on a few of my plants next time.....i will cut them 1 cola style......better yet ....i'm gonne grow 2 cola style next....first for me

nice pics G love your lazy grow style. I also like the idea that if your genetics good, and dont hermie that you shldnt worry with the leaks.. i used to spend ages worrying about a few chinks in the cabinet thinking they will spoil things, but they so tiny and i actually got into my empty flower cab one day shut it on myself to see if i cld see light through them, and i cldnt rofl.. so if anythng was gettin in i think your right.. dont worry bout it. i more keep an eye on bagseed if i grow them in case they grow male parts but thats it really
Ive not topped many plants in my time growing, considering how i grow at the moment(letting them get a little height and stem strength first then bend and LST) i prob shld consider doing it more.. after all i always lose any size advantage the main cola has through the lst and all buds are just small ones (but lots of them ) might make the lst training easier ,so a consideration for me at the moment. Keep up the good experimental work u do

Hey Core, We were following a twin towers project of Pack's, not sure where he's up to with that, that style may suit you.
Hey Kooki, thanks, 3 experiments running right now, still accepting bets on em all.
1. How soon is too soon? (tri topped at node 1)
2. How late is too late? The girl pictured below was pollinated on 2 buds about a week to 10 days to go. She has about 3 days of flowering time left. Gonna harvest and then leave to 2 buds to seed up.
3. Which grows quicker, bi or tri? The last bi that popped its head did not get killed off as usual but rather kept to compare speed of growth. The first 2 were out of my interest, the last someone else's.

Side note to Fallen, If ya read this, I tore the place appart and couldnt find the T-shirt with the fallen angels logo. Really pissed off but then got de-ja-vou, have we had this conversation before?

Ok the girl promised and previously photo'd, but a better shot of what I havent early harvested yet.

I know she doesn't look like much, But this is the 4th or 5th round for this girl Her smoke hits just the right spot for me. Which is why I call her my smokey girl. And why I hit her with a lottle pollen this time.
