Most of the Trumpers I know are the beer-swilling NASCAR crowd, and not so much the hippie stoner crowd. Many of them are even aggressively anti-cannabis(like, they literally think we should murder drug dealers). Its likely just that there is a small, but very vocal segment of the cannabis community that lives in constant fear of anything "other".

This is coming down to communism (socialism is another name) vs freedom (or what is left of it here). I feel like a person on the deck of the Titanic, watching people argueing what the band should be playing, as the lights are flickering and the ship is leaning.

At this point. Everyday we do not collectively March into washington and physically remove almost all of them we are giving them permission. I have to imagine the majority of them laughs at night of just how powerless society is as individuals. And the love having us divided. If the people ever woke up and said enough is enough thing would run a whole lot different really quickly.
