Democratic strategist/neoliberal insider admitting the party has problems but we should let the very same strategists and neolibs who broke the party and give us Donald Trump, fix it, entirely in private without any public scrutiny.

I don't know why neoliberalism is supposed to sound like a bad word.
Capitalism with strong social programs like medical, education and retirement. That's all of Europe and it describes Bernie better than his own label of democratic socialist. We could easily have this if we stopped letting all our tax dollars go down the black hole.
because it is a bad word. it describes the economic conditions of the US since Clinton, and those conditions have been shit for the average joe. this is why trump was so successful, he opposed & beat (in 2016) neoliberalism without ever uttering the word.
neoliberalism is extreme corporatization/privatization, deregulation, outsourcing, and austerity. it's been the established economic order for both parties for decades.

I read an article about Clinton's dad this morning, and ended up doing further research. He was an interesting character. He was a heavy equipment traveling salesmen.
He met women while out on the sales job and married them, and then get a divorce, sometimes after a real short time. He had 5 wives, 2 of them overlapped. He was in an accident and drown before Bill was born. Bill took his step dad's last name of Clinton, rather then his biological dad's name of Blythe.
Bill's mom, and the ex wives evidently didnt have a clue that he had been married before, but found out after media started snooping around and published the results
