Hi, you are welcome!

It is a pity. But I hope he will be able to recognise the true lines soon and he can grow them pure, recover the old strains and spread the seeds across the Caribbean.

I have seen photos of plants from St. Kitts and Nevis and they look much better than the ones Emmanuel is growing.

Also he can get in contact with Noel Joahill

It seems they are growing weed with much less pesticides than in other countries.

I am reading MadJag's most excellent old school AZ thread. I wonder why the Jamacians in NYC thought he spiked them after smoking a pinner of American grown dope, if they have been smoking the best the islands had to offer? His post #28. I have never had the opportunity to try Lambs Bread and hope the chance comes this way.

Because the old skunk's high was more pleasant than the lambsbread for a large number of people, a 75% sativa hybrid has a more pleasant high, and physically powerful than a psychedelic electric paranoid tropical sativa ...
And whoever tells you is someone who loves pure sativas, more than any other strains...

Not only paranoid but part hallucinogenic also.

Hi Willydread, i think that you generaliize something untrue, pure sativa doesn't always mean paranoid or strong trippy etc. There is on the contrary some more cool and pleasant feelings that can be find with part of them. The old Jam Lambsbread is simply like that, you feel a warm body sensation from the heart to the brain with an energic high a bit trippy yes but not as strong as other hallucinogenic strains. In real it's far more pleasant. ;) Hi vibes Flylowgethigh!

But yes since the 80/90s this kind of herb is very little known and even from Jamaican smokers people! The big wave skunk makes forget a lot of the good 70s pure sativa stuff like the Jamaican or South Indian Kerala.

Fortunately nowadays with the new wave "landrace" this understanding about "the clean sativa high" is coming back again hopefully!...

A friend was sent a clone from California 10 years ago and he told them it was "Lambsbread". Knowing what we know now it's not the pure Lambsbread but a very heavy sativa leaner and provides a wonderful no ceiling high. I've tripped out a few times when consumed with a volcano. The buds have a nice sweet smell to them. It's possible someone did cross the original Lambsbread to another strain to lower the flowering period and this is the byproduct but I'll never know. Only myself and someone else have this cut as the original donor lost it a few years ago. I hope to one day share the buds with everyone so they can experience it.

She truly is unique. I've tried plenty of the hype strains and cookie crosses but I still come back to the bread. We've been growing it for 10+ years now and who knows how long she was grown before us. She still holds up to any modern day strain. Below are the test results I had done on it.

That is a cool lab report, where did the test get made? Is there a library of test results like that?

Those flowers with the huge shiney heads are beautiful!

Glad you like the pic! The lab test was done at MCR labs and they actually do have their database open to the public. If you're in a rec/med state you can get your products tested. You can click the link below to view other flowers MCR has tested.

How is the high?

@hempy

The Haze Whisperer
There is a movie documentary on Bob Marley not sure if it was called Jamaican sun set i saw at the drive inns i think 1980 that showed Bobs favorite smoke being the Lambsbread.

It was growing in the Jungle not out in the open or in a clearing it looked like a high land sativa they were in veg stood well over 7ft no flowers.The American guy that was part of the Doco picked a leaf put it in his pipe and smoked it to his surprise he got real high.

Jamaica even as far back as the mid to late 90s was seeing NL Skunk and other dutch breed lines also found there way there.I would think the old lines are still around but people are not going to find them on any of the weed tours.

Has that nice sativa high. Gets the creative juices flowing, really puts a smile on your face. Gives you a greater appreciation for what you're doing at that time. I love to play chess while smoking a nice joint of it. Really gets you into the game :biggrin:. Also makes McDonalds taste like gourmet :yummy: but that might be a negative lol. Here's one more photo I found of her.

@hempy

The Haze Whisperer
Amid mangos, lychees and other jackfruit, Dr Machel Emanuel has planted a field of supreme cannabis plants measuring dozens of square meters. His specialty: landrace cannabis, which grew naturally in Jamaica before it disappeared as a result of human intervention. The rastafarian doctor explained that in the 50s, 60s and 70s, Jamaica was known for its landrace cultivar which gave it that international reputation.

Excellent smoke report by ChiefOrganic thank you very much brotha!

Hey guys! After 2 months of curing my Lambsbread I've been able to enjoy, what is undoubtedly, the best variety I've ever had the pleasure of smoking.

I thought I'd share a few experiences I've had with you guys. With the presence of THCV and other mystery compounds, the effects are not only unique, but they are very dose dependent! (...)
