Thank you for this pic. This is for sure a really authentic Jamaican sativa landrace plant. I love this narrow leaves.

G `day Folks

One thing I have observed with Rastas smokin ganja .
Their herb must be uber strong . Why ? They don`t hardly inhale the smoke . puff ,exhale puff exhale , puff , blow it out the nose .
A lot of Bogarting . lol .

If I wanna get high I inhale a lungful, hold it in , then exhale .

Thanks for sharin

Through the nose activates the limbic system in the brain.

The structures of the limbic system are involved in motivation, emotion, learning, and memory. The limbic system is where the subcortical structures meet the cerebral cortex.[1] The limbic system operates by influencing the endocrine system and the autonomic nervous system. It is highly interconnected with the nucleus accumbens, which plays a role in sexual arousal and the "high" derived from certain recreational drugs.

I know exhaling through the nose seems to change the the effect .
Personally not a fan . The burning sensation in my sinus and loss of sense smell aren`t worth it for me .

Thanks for sharin

Inhaling through the nose and mouth should give the same sensation, unless you have problems with that too.

Breathe out of the nose as slow as possible like you are holding your breath almost and letting bubbles slowly out of your nose from under water. It is so nice :tiphat:

French inhale- hit the joint, bowl, bong, or vape as usual but keep some smoke or vapor in your mouth. Slightly open your mouth while inhaling through your nose at the same time.

I’ve never noticed any difference in effects from inhaling or exhaling through my nose but ymmv.

Hi everybody :tiphat:,

just wanted to share a link about a documentary of Peter Tosh called "Stepping Razor Red X" where some, altough few and only for a short time, Jamaican NLD plants can be seen.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEfjQYGkVAc

Plant(s) can be seen at minute 35:40-35:46, 36:03-36:13 and
48:40-48:49;
smoking scenes are at 46:15-46:30, 47:05- 47:15 and from 48:10-49:34.

Found this documentary interesting and worthwhile to watch, because of some of the shared background info on
Roots Reggae History and Rastafari Culture.

Thanks & Cheers

I'm including a very interesting article and video regarding the "Original Ganja" that is or gave rise to the original Jamaican Lambsbread- it is very much worth the read and watching the video- quite exciting, IMO- and I hope these plants find their way to the United States...

Onfinity! Thanks for posting this. I've posted many times my love for what I think are the best weed strains of all time, Thai Stick and Jamaican Ganja, among a few others such as Sumatran. I feel the secret to the early pre-indica, and world class, American strains are from S. Asia and Africa.

ThaiBliss- if you search the Galaxy, you'll see a funny thing- enter your search as "Jamaica Ganja" - this is the sample spoken of in the video. You will see the closest genetic relatives (entered so far) are Thai- and a bit further out- Colombian.

I agree Pepe. The old heirlooms are not gonna be a hit at the stores. You might find a pot store that will cater to that but rarely.

We are on our own. I am doing fine and many others are too. You just have to dig deeper and work at obtaining and preserving these heirlooms.

Btw, I just smoked some Original Haze x Lambsbread I grew. 94 days flower and that is a wrap baby. It was more psychedelic at 11 weeks but a bit uncomfortable. Now the raciness is gone but some of the visual magic seems to have left as well. Will reveg and decide when to take it the next time.

We are only at the beginning stages of legalization

If its truly legal then it will hit worldwide

Places like Jamaica will be growing for the world and it sounds like it is important to them to get back to the original lambsbread

Mexico, South America, Thailand, China, Afghanistan theres no reason for people to grow in warehouses or even fancy greenhouses

Grow it in your backyard for fun or living room window

There will still be companies that get into pure landraces and exclusive tropical conservation

It would also be really great if it was grown in Jamaica, Mexico, South America, or southeast Asia

Import the shit

I highly doubt it unless they're done by boutique growers and sold to a pool of connoisseurs that know their pot and are willing to pay more.

Legalization has brought a drop in price and a flood of mediocre bud. Most ppl want something stinking, dense with lots of resin. It takes someone that really knows pot to find appreciation in a plant that goes 90 days +.

Most ppl just want to be stupified and left drooling on the couch. And the oil market is now making it where you don't even have to grow bud that looks good.

Yes. Customers have the last word about what product they really want. In a legal context things like size of the plants or a few weeks more of flowering must not be an issue if you get a far better quality product.

If you are supossedly allowed to grow, and your enviroment allows, you wouldn't need to hide your plants. Only in case of thieves.

Customers and growers could choose what they really want. Sadly they have been taught to embrace those new hyped hybrids, autoflowering..., Developed for growing fast (electricity is expensive!) and concealed (with a paradoxical awful stink!!!), and not for their soaring trippy psychedelic effects.

Here people preffer adulterated soapbar instead good weed. I hope in North America people have better taste.

It seems like preaching to the choir here rather than feeling odd for saying over half the bud out is and has been the same "big bud" high yield hybrid bred for weight and quick finish. This site helped me form that idea. The thought of being able to grow 2-3 native, or connoisseur low yielding 6-9 month varieties just for home use is really exciting. The 6 week cash crop strain was definitely developed with good reason but it is nice to think we can try something else.
