enough people are installing solar that some places are passing laws that the utility companies don't have to pay YOU if you produce so much that your meter stops turning and the excess goes into the grid. they are like the IRS; they enjoy cashing checks but sure as hell hate writing them...
we can get those types of panels here too but why should I give them free power only to still get a monthy bill, wtf? I´d do it if they paid for the whole set up and offer me a good deal...
I don´t want to pay and then pay more for electricity which I´m `producing´ myself. I want solar so I can power my own TV, fidge etc and SAVE money.

you don't get charged unless you are using THEIR electricity, you just don't get paid for any extra. at least, that is how it works here. if i could generate enough to get by on myself, i'd tell them to disconnect me immediately, fuck their bills...

It is still a sucker deal. People get promised they will save money. They get over charged $50k - 60k for $15k worth of hardware on their roof. They don't know what the set up really costs bottom line. All they know is their bill is lower and they are 'saving' money. Then they find out there is a $50k lien on their house when they sell the house and all their equity was stolen long ago. It takes two days to install with a couple roofers and an electrician and the company scores $35 - 45k.

I want one where I can create my own electricity and keep it ie I want batteries to go with it. Otherwise there´s no point at all.

right, you´re basically paying them money so you do their job for them and then you still have to pay some anyway. Bollocks!

There are other issues with solar panels on the roof.

The current full sized panels are about 7.5' by 4' and produce about 500 watts each. For a normal house you need about 30 (15kW) of them so that's about 22' by 40'. It's a pretty good sized wall. Ideally they should be aiming south and any deviation from south looses efficiency. Loss of efficiency is usually compensated for by adding a few more panels.

Have you never actually seen one? lol you cant have a wind farm with trees everywhere
There are a dozen windmills within ten miles of where I live. None have a clear cut around them like the image I commented on. The image looks fake and is probably a product from the people making comments about used windmill blades overwhelming us. Pure bullshit.

Yeah.....instead of clearcutting an area like that most of them are cluttering up a bunch of precious farmland

They call it progress but you could have fooled me

Well, most of Texas doesn't have trees and the cows don't give a shit about the whir whir from wind mills like Chump does. Can you tell he's lying? He's getting paid to say this shit.
