The only thing I´ve read by Joe Pietri so far is his posts here:

Will=Joe Pietri
Well, Joe Pietri is a strange character, but he does have a lot of knowledge. It's often the case with old timers who were involved in that trade that they aren't the most balanced of individuals and not the easiest to get reliable information from. He makes some valid points in his Dr Frankenbeanstein article but ruins it by going on a tirade about feminised seeds, for instance.
wow.
having just read through pages 1-13 i am stunned.
so much drama and so many opinions.
thanks to Gypsy for stepping in and straightening things out.
i just wanted to interject that the blue dream that i have (supposedly blueberry x unknown haze) also bleeds red, sometimes spontaneously like religious stigmata. it is in no way close to "pure" haze (whatever that means) and most people peg it around 60/40 sat/indica. i just wondered what all these gathered authorities thought about a trait like this being passed so far down the line......?
good luck to all on finding their own perfect haze!
To be honest, I'm much rather have the original sativa landraces that went into Haze or ones of similar quality rather than Haze itself. It's not easy to find such things these days though.

If I'm not mistaken, that classic shot of blood red sap dripping from a freshly cut OH plant was Farmer John's and appeared in the bgh's Questions for Sam on OH thread...Don't ask me what page LOL.
Does anybody have any first hand experience with the merits of Seedsman's Columbian Red Haze? It's a combination of NH and their Columbian.
It originated from a punto rojo seed and then was breed to itself for the duration of it's existence.
4. green/brown- this plant had the most incense smell and was probably the most like old school high altitude mexican.
And where would such things be found these days? We spoke the other day about Africa and its undiscovered strains....
happyhi,
a punto rojo seed..what does that mean? a punto rojo female that was crossed to a mexican male and then the hybrid was breed to itself for the duration of it´s existence?
Or was it just a colombian x colombian?
I´m a bit confused,sorry
Cool post, and unless Sam says otherwise, that´s some great great info
thx
The haze comes from a Punta Roja seed and was bred to itself for about 10 years after which the strain went weak and became useless.
Thanks, whodair. They seem to know their way around a Sativa.
Raco's got em all LOL
