The idea that all there is - is mind/consciousness is a difficult thing
to grasp, the ego/intellect combination will fight this to the end.

You never responded to my earlier posts about the Mind/Consciousness being a by-product of reality... Or my statement that The "Mind" & "Consciousness" are merely abstract concepts.

Only those that are on the edge, for whatever reason can ever grasp
this Big Truth, the folks in the center, where it's nice and comfortable
will always deny this. Nothing wrong with this position, well maybe only
one thing...and it is that...

...it is FALSE

Nobody has grasped the Big Truth... not that there isn't one... but it's forever out of our reach. There is no such thing as fact... only belief... even the universally believed things that we call "facts" are mutable.

I wrote the majority, pointing at the center, the ones that the
people look toward for real answers!

And what do they get? Scientists that are paid by the big corporations,
and by the government officials working hand in hand with the huge
corporations.

Just check out the weight loss problem, and all the consequences
of the government and the scientific ignorance in this area. Check
out what the government suggests people eat in their reports, it
is just outrageous. And it is like this is every domain.

There is not one place where money doesn't decide everything,
not one, and most likely never will be.

I agree here... although it's not really sciences fault... it's politicians fault for not really understanding what epidemiology is and does or does not prove.

Really? Which science doesn't? As far as I am aware, the majority
of scientists (99.9%) confirm that there is NOTHING except the
objective reality, and obviously God is in the subjective domain.

Or did I not understand something about the majority of scientists?

Show me a link to a poll that backs up that 99.9% figure... otherwise it's useless...

Here I'll do one...

New York Times said:
Polling Scientists on Beliefs
According to a much-discussed survey reported in the journal Nature in 1997, 40 percent of biologists, physicists and mathematicians said they believed in God - and not just a nonspecific transcendental presence but, as the survey put it, a God to whom one may pray "in expectation of receiving an answer."

Is that what it was called? Had a lot of good times playing that simple
game. Then came Asteroids, and later one of my all-time favorites
the Galaxian...I believe it was called. Don't know how many hours
I played that game in the bowling alley near my house in Ft. Lauderdale
freakin high out of my mind from smoking Jamaican Bud. I was only
13, and it was probably the most magical time in my life. Especially
because it was when I started getting "some" from the chicks
hanging out in the bowling alley. The weed helped a lot, and most
of the nerds never knew my "little" secret, why all the chicks were
so easy for me to bring back to my house on a regular basis.

None of the chicks shared my secret...for some reason

Which was just fine with me, because I didn't really like getting
high by myself anyway!

Spent many an hour playing asteroids myself down at the 711 in the corner. Good Times...

You never responded to my earlier posts about the Mind/Consciousness being a by-product of reality... Or my statement that The "Mind" & "Consciousness" are merely abstract concepts.

It is actually the other way around, if you mean by reality, our
physical reality (Earth, us being human, etc.)

In this case reality (Earth, us being human, etc.) is a by-product
of Consciousness/Mind which is the only reality there is. Everything
else IS a simulation, a virtual reality game that Consciousness is
playing in order to evolve itself, to grow, and to become smarter.

Evolve or die, this principle is working on every level, in every
dimension that Consciousness has created in order to lower its
entropy and to become more organized and advanced.

Nobody has grasped the Big Truth... not that there isn't one... but it's forever out of our reach. There is no such thing as fact... only belief... even the universally believed things that we call "facts" are mutable.

  • It was once a fact that the earth was flat
  • It was once a fact that air, earth, fire and water were the 4 base elements

The Big Truth is Consciousness + Evolution playing in bed, making
gazzilions of babies (virtual realities/dimensions) and these virtual
realities/dimensions are making babies which is the physical reality
that we believe is where we live and then die.

But if you look, you will see that the evolution of consciousness is
all that is happening and can ever happen, there is nothing else.

Everything that there IS - is The Consciousness/Evolution Fractal

40% that is quite high, but can you really imagine that 60% of the
don't believe that there is a force creating the Universe. That it's
just simply happening. This is absurd and not logical at all. This is
why the current model of where reality (our physical universe) came
from is based on the Big Bang. Which basically states that it just
sort of happened...lol

That there was NO cause. At least, they have not said what the cause
is, they just sort of swept this part under the rug, and the fact that
proves this - is they don't talk about where the stuff that BLEW UP
came from in the first place...lol...they just say, ohhh well, it was
hot, and then just blew up on its own...or something like that.

If stuff is evolving, and it obviously is, it means that there is a
purpose that is very clear (evolution). And if everything is evolving
including the scientists themselves, then this points that there is
something evolving all of this, and it has intent, and the substance
from which to evolve everything...right?

I mean when the shit blew up, someone or something had to create
the shit that blew up, before it blew up, this is logical isn't it?

Why didn't they start from there? The answer, because they knew
it came from Consciousness creating it all for many thousands of
years, but they couldn't reveal this to sheep like us, that's why!

If this was revealed, we would tell them all to go to hell, I mean if
this is all a simulation, why the f*ck do anything right?

You need NECESSITY to force so many people to work and do stuff,
and this can only be accomplished if people think and believe it is
necessary for them to survive physically in this life.

But, since this is not TRUE, this is a virtual reality, imagine if everyone
grasped this at the core of their beliefs. There would some serious
problems at those factories in CHINA...LOL

Awesome inspiration of thought SouthFlorida!

I thought this thread died and... BLAM.... big toe theory brings it back to life.

Did anyone mention this theory just released by a South Korean scientist?

Sounds familiar.

http://www.mmdnewswire.com/scientist-daegene-song-15396.html

Interesting...it seems the Big Bang is about to happen in our
consciousness/awareness...and then the shit will really hit the
ceiling. But, to be honest, I think it will be a while until this becomes
accepted by the masses. The center is strong, and the masses
want comfort and the status quo, and most of all to have their
so called...SCAPE GOAT!

I mean, can you imagine the average person admitting to himself or
herself that s/he is 100% responsible for everything that is happening
in his/her life? I don't think this is going to catch on quickly.

There is a serious REFLEX in our brains against this kind of thing,
which most like to call the BS detector :)

And what is BS to them, everything that they think is BS

...the fact that they don't know 99.9% of what can be known doesn't
matter, and that they will never know 100% of the stuff they can't
know or even imagine that they can't know doesn't even matter either.

To them, what they think is REAL - is REAL 100% without a doubt!

No... this is the point I made earlier where I disagreed with you... until someone thought up the concept of the mind, it never existed.

Wiki said:
A concept (abstract term: conception) is a cognitive unit of meaning—an abstract idea or a mental symbol sometimes defined as a "unit of knowledge," built from other units which act as a concept's characteristics. A concept is typically associated with a corresponding representation in a language or symbology[citation needed] such as a single meaning of a term.
There are prevailing theories in contemporary philosophy which attempt to explain the nature of concepts. The representational theory of mind proposes that concepts are mental representations, while the semantic theory of concepts (originating with Frege's distinction between concept and object) holds that they are abstract objects.[1] Ideas are taken to be concepts, although abstract concepts do not necessarily appear to the mind as images as some ideas do.[2] Many philosophers consider concepts to be a fundamental ontological category of being.
The meaning of "concept" is explored in mainstream cognitive science, metaphysics, and philosophy of mind. The term "concept" is traced back to 1554–60 (Latin conceptum - "something conceived"),[citation needed] but what is today termed "the classical theory of concepts" is the theory of Aristotle on the definition of terms.[citation needed]

it only follows logically that until someone conceptualized the "Mind"... it didn't exist.

The new Paradigm of the Future , a universe where consciousness is the primary reality

The first scientific questioning of the concept of physical reality came with Niels Bohr's 'Copenhagen' interpretation of the quantum theory, which maintained that there was no deep reality, only a description of it. Perhaps some time in the future, our present view of the universe would be seen as mistaken, our present scientific theories as myths. Our minds and thinking shape our perception of the world. The new paradigm of the future will view a universe where consciousness is the primary reality from which physical reality is derived.
http://www.ru.org/31realit.html

***********

David Bohm below was one of the world's greatest quantum mechanical physicists and philosophers and was deeply influenced by both J. Krishnamurti and Einstein.
http://twm.co.nz/Bohm.html

Exploring Deeper Levels of Reality

Bohm has developed his concepts of sub- quantum reality further in his theory of explicate order and implicate order. The implicate order is a special case of the 'generative order', "a deeper and more inward order out of which things can emerge creatively."

The implicate order leads to the 'superimplicate order', which organises it. In principle, there can be an extension into even higher implicate orders, organising and affected by the lower orders. Thus, according Bohm, "the implicate order is a very rich and subtle generative order" and so is consciousness. Thus mind and matter are two aspects of one whole.

David Bohm (1917-94) was one of the foremost theoretical physicists of his generation and one of the most influential theorists of the emerging paradigm through which the world is increasingly viewed. Bohm's challenge to the conventional understanding of quantum theory has led scientists to re-examine what it is they are doing and to question the nature of their theories and their scientific methodology. He brought together a radical view of physics, a deeply spiritual understanding and a profound humanity. In the years before his death in 1992, Bohm lectured worldwide on the meaning of physics and consciousness.

In an interview in 1989 at the Nils Bohr Institute in Copenhagen, where Bohm presented his views, Bohm spoke on his theory of wholeness and the implicate order. The conversation centered around a new worldview that is developing in part of the Western world, one that places more focus on wholeness and process than analysis of separate parts. Bohm explained the basics of the theory of relativity and its more revolutionary offspring, quantum theory. Either theory, if carried out to its extreme, violates every concept on which we base our understanding of reality. Both challenge our notions of our world and ourselves.

He cited evidence from both theories that support a new paradigm of a more interrelated, fluid, and less absolute basis of existence, one in which mind is an active participant. "Information contributes fundamentally to the qualities of substance." He discussed forms, fields, superconductivity, wave function and electron behavior. "Wave function, which operates through form, is closer to life and mind...The electron has a mindlike quality."

In his groundbreaking theory of "wholeness and the implicate order", Bohm proposed a new model of reality that was a revolutionary challenge to physics. In this model, as in a hologram, any element contains enfolded within itself the totality of its universe. Bohm's concept of totality included both matter and mind.

Bohm also mentioned the dangers we face as a society and the changes we will have to make in our thinking in order to have a future. He said we need a more holistic approach to the ecological problem and must find something else in life besides economic growth; if it continues unchecked, it will destroy the planet.

The emerging change in consciousness is the challenge and the key: "Our future depends on whether we feel like part of this one whole or whether we feel we're separate."

Did single celled organisms have consciousness or a mind?

See... where I part ways with you is that I don't believe in the mind. Prove to me there is a mind... I've never seen one.

Consciousness/Evolution is the only thing that is REAL and OBJECTIVE.

This combo created the mind, which I guess can be called the Primary
Computer running the show! This basically means that the mind, and
all the gazzilions of virtual realities it runs, itself is virtual, and doesn't
really exist...i.e...it is NOT REAL. It is SUBJECTIVE.

I don't have to prove to you that the mind exists, you know this
yourself, because you are living in the subjective reality, and in
fact you live at least in two that you are aware of:

#1...where you are right now, while you are reading this post, and

#2...the dream world, where you do even weirder shit than you do
in this world, that you call the REAL PHYSICAL WORLD.

The only difference between those two worlds is the rule-set. While
in the physical world you can't fly, or do other outrageous and
absurd stuff...in the dream world you CAN.

While you are in the dream world, you are totally certain and convinced
that it is real right? I mean you don't kick back there and say wow
I'm just dreaming this (unless you know how to lucid dream).

You are totally immersed in it and believe all that stuff is real, and
if someone asked you about this world, you would say that shit
ain't real, that physical world, where I'm Greensub that writes on
icmag.com and smokes pot doesn't exist, I just dream him when
I go to sleep in this place here, which is the REAL WORLD :)

So, what is your brain like when you are there? Is it a dream-brain
of some kind? And if it is not REAL, while you are there, why are
you so convinced it is real? How is it really different from this life,
except for the rule-set of time-space-gravity..etc?

It has very few differences, just the limitations and constraints
are not the same, everything else is just as good and just as real.

...ohhh...and yes the first cell had a consciousness and a mind, it
knew that it must evolve or die! How? Because it was consciousness
and evolution doing its thing.

How did it evolve? It made the second cell, then the third, and so on.

Consciousness just multiplying itself over and over and over a gazzilion
times. Simple and elegant...like all genius entities, obviously consciousness
figured out how to evolve itself (with a little HELP from evolution, of course,
who is its primary partner...in this little game they are playing).

not read it, make sure to take a look at it. And make sure to come
back to this thread and post what you think about all this, if this
is something that interest you.

The mind exists in virtual reality. This world me and you are living in
is a virtual reality, and has always been. The only thing that is
more or less real (or exists) is your subjective mind, which is doing
the choosing in the situations that are showing up in your life
when you have interactions with other people. This is a game in
which you increase your "individual consciousness" by making better
choices and learning from the feedback you get. This is what helps
consciousness to evolve. The gazzilions of "small baby consciousness"
elements/parts working to make consciousness grow as an entity
and evolve its ability/capacity. Evolution is kicking it in the ass,
telling it that IT BETTER GET WITH THE PROGRAM !!!

The same way that wives kick the husband in the ass, telling them
they better go and make more money (evolve, from the wive's point
of view...lol). Which is why I say that Consciousness is the male
force, and Evolution is the female force.

Because without EVOLUTION, - Consciousness would sit home, drink
beer, smoke the bong and would watch the football game, or go to

Thanks, but really, it is not that weak, because even that one cell
swimming in the premordial soup had the same opportunity that
you and me have right now, the free will choice from whatever
opportunities that are provided to us by evolution.

If you are married, like me (for 17 years) you will understand what
evolution is (wife) and what you are (consciousness)...and you will
clearly see how one motivates the other :dance013:

I was talking about the scientists assuming that there was something,
and then the Big Bang happened. They never explained what the hell
that was and where it came from. This means that their whole theory
assumes that there was always something. And that at one point,
all of a sudden, from nowhere it just blew up!

I mean if the dynamite blows up, don't you think that there was a
cause? Well, the scientists are saying there was NO cause. They
don't want to come straight out and say that they don't KNOW.

I didn't even follow this part... just didn't make enough sense to respond to.

This part explained why the scientists don't want to explain that
they know that consciousness is all that there is, and that this
world we are living in is a virtual world that consciousness created
in order to evolve itself.

apparently we are having a semantic argument over the word consciousness.

Wiki said:
Consciousness is variously defined as subjective experience, awareness, the ability to experience "feeling", wakefulness, the understanding of the concept "self", or the executive control system of the mind.[1] It is an umbrella term that may refer to a variety of mental phenomena.[2] Although humans realize what everyday experiences are, consciousness refuses to be defined, philosophers note (e.g. John Searle in The Oxford Companion to Philosophy):[3]
"Anything that we are aware of at a given moment forms part of our consciousness, making conscious experience at once the most familiar and most mysterious aspect of our lives."
—Schneider and Velmans, 2007[4]
Consciousness in medicine (e.g., anesthesiology) is assessed by observing a patient's alertness and responsiveness, and can be seen as a continuum of states ranging from alert, oriented to time and place, and communicative, through disorientation, then delirium, then loss of any meaningful communication, and ending with loss of movement in response to painful stimulation.[5]
Consciousness in psychology and philosophy typically means something beyond what it means for anesthesiology, and may be said in many contexts to imply four characteristics: subjectivity, change, continuity, and selectivity.[1][6] Philosopher Franz Brentano has suggested intentionality or aboutness (that consciousness is about something). However, within the philosophy of mind there is no consensus on whether intentionality is a requirement for consciousness.[7]
Consciousness is the subject of much research in philosophy of mind, psychology, neuroscience, cognitive science, cognitive neuroscience and artificial intelligence. Issues of practical concern include how the presence of consciousness can be assessed in severely ill or comatose people;[8] whether non-human consciousness exists and if so how it can be measured; at what point in fetal development consciousness begins; and whether computers can achieve a conscious state.[9][10][11]

The same way that wives kick the husband in the ass, telling them
they better go and make more money (evolve, from the wive's point
of view...lol). Which is why I say that Consciousness is the male
force, and Evolution is the female force.
