got froth?

this thing is the bomb:

its called the sweetwater maker. its basically a fishtank bubbler times 10,000!

i made this tea yesterday afternoon, and this morning (16 hrs later) this is what i discovered:

thats just froth, not water
the barrel was only filled 2/3 (35 gallons or so) the froth grew out the barrel and onto the floor!!!

mmmmm froth, i love making huge batches of tea. the foam is everywhere as i see you know haha. a simple wet/dry shop vac gets it up quick and easy.

Wonder which has the most nutrients/good stuff? The liquid tea, residual dregs, or the foam/froth?

i watered again with tea today. i havent been flushing at all this time.well see if its any better. theres about one more feed before i start the final 2 week flush.

pretty much everything seems to be in order. i got a few fungus gnats sticking to the sticky traps, but only a couple a day.

whoa! i didnt realize how long it had been since i posted. sorry folks

there hasnt really been too much to report. steady as she goes. there were still some thrips, so i got some more predators. this time i added hypoaspis to eat the thrip and fungus gnat larvae.

i fed a few days ago with tea for the last time this cycle i think. time to start flushing. the plants seem to show a little definciency, thats pretty normal for this pont in the cycle, but i would like to try harder next time to get through with less definciency.

the stank is starting to escape the room, so i bought a new carbon scrubber. i got the can 100 for $300. i cant afford to screw around with ghetto scrubbers and replacing carbon, i just dont trust it.

can you guys tell that my plants are becoming deficient? this happens every cycle, this cycle i added more fertilizers into the soil mix, as well as more lime to be sure there wasnt some kind of pH drift in the soil. although honestly i cant be sure of anything. my yeild looks like its gonna be impressive anyway.

and what about flushing? im about 2 1/2 weeks from harvie, i feed/water once a week. my last tea feed was 11/7.
poll: would you feed plain water for the last 2 waterings?
would you feed once tea, and once water?
or would you feed tea for the last 2 waterings?

other than the pics in this thread ill admit that it became pretty boring. ive been doing this for a long time now and its kind of become routine. it seems like im encountering fewer new and challenging problems. i guess theres not alot to discuss in general about this grow. i am pleased to see however that so many folks are lurking around!

hey irie-i i usually cut my nutes in half the around where you are to give them a little more but not enough to cancel out the flush. also you cant flush twice a week? or the pots stay wet all week long? usually when theres 2 and a half weeks left its one last good feeding, then half -1/3 strength of the last big feeding then flush 2-3 times a week for the last week and a half. but hey thats just my 2 cents.

irie, I have some plants just days behind yours. they are all showing defs also. i have started my final stage which is flushing. There should be enough left in the soil to make the final few days till harvest. Most of my def are immobile elements and some show N def. you could feed one more time if you would like.

If your yeild is going to be impressive....then you have done your job well for the people you support. Great Job irie!

yeah, they stay pretty wet. i could push it and water every 5 days to squeeze a few more waterings in.

im certainly not bored growing these sacred herbs, there is different kinds of excitement all time. i got it dialed in though, i think, and its a great acheivement after years of trials and tribulations.

i am starting to get curious about organic bio-buckets though...
