Oranges of yesteryear

Hello all! I remember in the earlier 2000s having orange crush and really enjoying it, along with orange bud. Are these strains around anymore, and if so, any good? I have searched around and can find OB from Dutch Passion but have not heard much of anything about it on here for a while. Also, seedcity has OB regular from Dutch Passion. Does anyone think these could be older stock since they rarely, if ever, have regular seeds? If you have an orange crush source, I would love to hear about it!

Thanks everyone, I hope you are having a warm and safe winter!

I remember that strain and loved it. Orange Crush is a hybrid marijuana strain made by crossing California Orange and Blueberry. Mr. Nice, has a strain close to Orange Crush called Spice. Keep us posted.

What a great combo huh?! AKBB has a sativa leaning vintage blueberry that I think would make a great partner to pollinate to a California orange to make orange crush. Thanks @Creeperpark for the recommendation on spice. I’ll look into it.

I've always thought Mr. Nice Spice was Hawaiian Indica x Hawaiian Sativa. I don't see the comparison. Just curious if I'm missing something. Always hear about the Spice tasting like savory spices or curry. Seems far and away from orange and blueberry.

We were getting one that we called orange bud early 2000s. Was probably orange skunk x. Was the strongest smelling herb. No way to contain the smell. Had one of those small heady jars with a cork. Crack it open and the smell would fill the whole room. Not sure what happened to that type. Nowadays I associate anything w orange to be weaker cannabis.

I really liked the S1's that were gifted, a few years back. No mistaking the orange flavor. Nice and happy result. Would like to try some beans from an ISP member, that are JackieO x Blueberry. There are also old beans of Herijuana x CaliO, and some stoneybaloneyG13 that could toss out some orange. If I could ever get to the point of growing those out, I would consider getting CaliO S1's and would cross it to all the above.

They're older because Dutch Passion discontinued this regular line many years ago.
Just checked their website and they're listed. Sorry, wasn't up to date.

Some great uplifting, social, daytime, oldschool smoke, thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Jackie-O has a nice tangerine citrus orange overtones

the JO with the extra leaf serrations
@Nannymouse and @bigsur51 , I have never heard of jackie-o. Still seeds or banks around that have it pr is that a lost one too? Thanks for the replies too!

I know many feel Dutch Passion has maybe lost their touch or whatever, but I might have to give that orange bud regular a go… I had forgotten this, but I had some bubble hash made from OB a few years back and it was awesome! Had a real gassy but smooth taste and an incredible high. Nice to hit and have a bourbon with some buddies.

this description comes from an old friend…Rumpelstiltskin

It's actually Jack Candy x AE77 Calio. Both were inbred for several generations before the F1 cross.

The Jack Candy is an F2 of Jack Flash which was jack herer x super skunk I think.

She does yield well,at least pheno #3 those but the buds are a bit open in structure.
