Hey Rioght,

If you have a nursery license then you can only sell to licensed producers or to licensed retailers. So no, you cannot sell directly to the end user, they would have to shop via a licensed retailer who could then fill your order. Again, taxes.

What was it like to get this licensing? Asking for a friend in Canada, I live down in the states.

Money talks with the elusive licenses and prescriptions. You can go into a family doctor, pay nothing and get 1-3g a day.

Or...

You can do what I did and call up 'X' in Thunder Bay, who is a doctor to the growers. hahaa You pay 374.00 and get 50g a day with 10-20% increase yearly. I have script for 50g a day and can be in possession of 30 days worth which is crazy as who the hell walks around with pounds of cannabis. Grow license is 220 indoors or 90 outdoors. Recreationally you can have 4 plants only. I am like the old ACMPR as i can designate someone to grow for me.

Wee update

I will upload some pics of the babies 8 days after going 12/12 soon.

I thought I would speak to an experiment that I did regarding cloning this strain. At least my thoughts.

Note: Clones taken before the females went into 12/12.

1. I took 12 clones off of 2 of the strongest females and I split stem in half, rooting powder and then in pucks. The tray was under a dome in about 85% humidity and they were shielded from the lights.
2. I also took 2 other female clones and I clipped them and just shoved them into dixie cups. (no rooting powder, no slitting stalks, no pucks and not hidden from the light) 18/6

Today, day 8 and 'hands down' shoving the clones into the soil and walking away is by far the most effective at cloning this strain for me. haaha (easiest too) This method saw the babies twice the size of the other ones.

Sometimes, we shouldn't mess with stuff.

I will post more on the babies in week 2 of flower tomorrow as lights are back on at exactly 9pm when I water them and do my check and pictures.

Trying to bring this strain back to life has been such a cool thing to do. It's hard to believe that I found the seeds 7 weeks ago and I sit with 2 males, 5 females going into flower and 14 female clones that will be right behind the first bunch.

By January, I hope to have the most panama red in the entire world. Seeds too...... Mooohahaha

So, hypothetical question. If I knew a friend of a friend who wanted to send novelty seeds from Canada going into the US or overseas etc, how would one go about that? Hypothetically of course.

So, let's talk about furthering the panama red line moving forward.

In the near future, I hope to have hundreds of seeds and I'm wondering what to do with them all. Ditto for the 14 female clones that are obviously not dying anytime soon.

All 14 are going into 3gal fabric pots tomorrow and I went to get some ocean forest soil and got sucked into buying a 6x6x8 tent so now have 4 but that's ok. lol (I got a screaming deal though. Also, huge sale on Mars hydro lighting so got that too)

How many seeds does one need to keep the strain alive? Do I need to save them like a chipmunk for winter and make more after that? Am I always chasing that elusive seed?

I don't want to make one cent off of this strain that fell into my lap. I think the best course of action is to give seeds to the old school sativa heads who are chasing after genetics and start there.

I already have a list of people who sit in the shadows with other rare landraces that could become my friends that just want to keep the strain alive. (I actually had a friend request from a lady in Rhode Island who also has PR and we shared pics and she keeps hers for herself. She says it's like a fine wine you bring out when loved ones come over.) I am shocked to be added to secret groups with other landrace chasers.

I don't want to be selfish and I do want some guidance here. If you wanted to do 100% everything you could to bring an old school strain back, what would you do?

Am I being an 'elitist' by not wanting to give seeds to those who just want to grow dope to get high? You guys are such sativa heads and I'm not even sure if there are other ladies growing landrace strains so I imagine, I'm amusing a few of you. I'm probably also making a LOT of you laugh at my newbie ways. I'm not a huge dope smoker. 2-3 joints a week or so.

So when were your university days?

I hope that they are the real deal for everyone involved, but a couple of things say hybrid to me: First is how quickly they sexed. IME equatorial strains take a good long time. Often months for older strains. It's not just me saying it, it's pretty well documented. The Acapulco Gold i popped took 3 months IIRC. Pretty sure it's in the threads here.

Number 2 is the broad leaves, though seedlings of NLD varieties can look BLD.

Even if it's a hybrid it could be the next Green Crack, never know. :tiphat:

Exactly right? I found the seeds, got in touch with buddy who grew in uni 20 years ago, sent him seeds and he said it was strain and I'm going by that obviously from my 17 pages of project. The plants could def by a hybrid from the original as well.

Thanks for your comments. I guess time will tell.. :) I have noticed newer leaves are longer, thinner and I will post more pics soon. What is NLD?

Pics of plants day 7 on 12/12.

I'm trying to see the 'broad leaf' here that would mean this is not PR? Newbie question.

I'm a big girl and if you all think this is not PR, I can handle that. Hell, 3 months ago, I wasn't growing cannabis at all.

Babies pictured here are almost 6 weeks old and into flower (12/12) for 7 days thus far. All natural lighting.

The photos of your Panama Red look similar to the ones I grew under LED. The leaves started out looking like a hybrid but definitely looked sativa by the 7th or 8th internode. The nodes were fairly tight with extensive branching. The plants grew very fast. I started veging using 13.5 hours and reduced the light by 30 minutes every 2 weeks. The earliest plant to show sex was at 7 weeks at 12 hours and the latest at 9 weeks at 11.5 hours. The best and earliest female took 12 weeks to harvest from onset of flowering and was finished under 10.5 hours of light. Aside from removing fan leaves (most of which had yellowed anyway) there was no need to trim due to the extremely high calyx to leaf ratio. There were a few nanners at the end but it's not that unusual with sativa's.

PR or not PR... hell that´s exciting .. The last days it seemed like broad leaves and the new pic show narrow leaves. I think we´ll never find it really out without a correct breeding biography. But when you´ve harvested we have more issues to assess: how long is flowering period, what do the buds look like, how is the effect, etc..

I´m looking forward to the result..I hope it is the original landrace I searched for :)

I have what I consider real PR from Snow and Greenthumb. I preferred the Snow version but think they are close.

Never had PR back when it was the OG Kush of pot, but am quite sure I have the goods. Hope this is real too, but it seems the seeds are already out there in case you wanted to cash in. I could make f2's of the seeds I have and sell them I guess.... Not gonna do it.

So, I always thought that Panama Red being very Sativa, has leaves typically NLD.... How could it be otherwise?

Hope someone will sell P2 at an affordable price... i mean the real one.

I am waiting on the same thing with Oaxacan, a true one for cheap so i can buy a lot, not only "a pack of 10"...

I honestly have no idea. The first few sets of leaves were quite a bit broader in the leaves and after 5 sets, they seemed to get thinner and that's where they are right now. I'll be taking more pics once the lights go on at 9.

I also got the 6x9x10 foot tent set up. That was a freaking chore. Now to figure out the light movers for the mars hydros coming tomorrow.

Hey Bsinger, kindly add my name to that list of old school sativa heads. Happy to return the favour any way I can.

Will do for sure. I'm a total newbie as I've never even grew weed before :) Now I have 4 tents and just set up a 6x9x10 today.

Does it ever happen when a new baby sprouts that the leaves are broader and then after a few nodes, they go thinner? This is how this strain seems to be for me.

As well, I thought I had them all sexed but one I thought was male ended up just shooting new leaves and now I'm not even sure what they are..... We are about 7 weeks in now and lights switched to 12/12 10 days ago.

And finally, if a female is in 12/12, I can still take clones correct? I was reading that this can lead to vigorous growth once back into veg mode and potentially, a stronger plant?

As of today, I have the 7 in flower mode (not sure about sex yet. So confused. 2 I can tell I think), I also have 27 female clones

One nice score was the new tent. I bought it from a hydro store and they put it in the back of the SUV and I drove around with it for about a week. This morning, I dragged it into the house and was shocked at how much it weighed. I think it was 85 pounds. Get it downstairs and get the instructions out and I'm shocked as this tent looks WAY bigger than I thought it was going to be. It barely fits under my 10 freaking foot rafters in my basement. Look inside said box and the tent is 6x9x9.8 instead of 4x8x10. I called the store to tell them about the mistake and they said to just keep it as most people wouldn't even let them know :)

Female clone 7 days old. I started in the pucks and after a week seeing great roots, I switched to the solo cups for a week to buy some time to get the light movers working in the tent in basement.

Is this a broad leaf that someone was mentioning?

Latest batch of clones at 7 days old. I didn't even put them under a dome this time. More pics coming when the lights go back on at 9.

They do not look broadleaf to me. Some Sativa start out with wider leaves from seed and then settle into their true narrow leaves as they mature.
Looking good.
What light cycle do you have the clones on?

Peace
