Just so you know, the most effective way of getting a dog out of his death-lock when he bites another dog is to stick your finger up it's asshole. No joke.

dont kill him I have two pit bulls. I love to death. they have faught eachother a couple times, and i hate to see that shit. try dog mace or get one of those loud horns that people use at sporting events. that will scare him away. call the humane society if you have one, and let them youthinize, if you have to kill him, but atleast do it humanely, dont make him suffer its not his fault he acts like that,
The real problem is that the city is putting it all in my hands when its not my job to be trying to catch loose dogs. It doesn't look like someone's pets, he probably just eats shit as he finds it. Where Im at, people don't really by pits for pets, they buy them for protection and treat them like shit. I see them loose all the time, and the city picks up so many that they put them to sleep as soon as they get them in. No room and no money to care for them. Additionally, the humane society already said that if they get it they'll have to put it down because it attacked my dog

Handle it like a man. Get the dog and take it to animal control....at least let it die a better death than you poisoning it.
Or, take as much time as you've spent on this thread and contact the SPCA around your area for christ's sake. There are animal charities ALL over that can help you out. You just have to actually take the time to help this animal out. Sorry about your dog, but he will get over it. Look at your dog and imagine somebody left him or mistreated him like that pit bull....do the right thing please, please please. It's easier to kill him, but are you that kind of man?

Dont you have the spca or some kind of animal control in your area?? If you trapped the dog then called animal control they will happily pick him up and euthanize him.. Im sorry but killing him with anti freeze is not something any animal lover would do.. i understand he attacked your dog for no reason but you have no clue what the owners did to that dog to make him the way he is.

I was with you until I read this ^^^. You need to clean that the fuck up. If you had kept a cleaner yard your friend would not be hurt. You attracted the scavenger which led to your dogs mauling ...
Don't kill/ or try to kill him man! That's fucked up but I understand, if I saw another dog attacking mine I'd probably kick the shit outta that dog.
Now this pit's a nuisance because he keeps coming round to your house.. My suggestion is to talk to your vet, get some sleeping pills for dogs, some wet dog food and voila, you've got a slumbered out pooch you could easily collar up and figure out where he belongs, animal control, etc..

i was exaggerating the dog shit which is obvious since i can't have a year and a half of dog shit from a one year old dog. Actually i take my dog to the park twice a day USUALLY. Due to the weather though, the last two or three weeks I've been putting him back there for 15 min or so every couple of hours. not so easy seeing all that shit covered up under snow, but running out there, whatever was under the snow managed to get under and on top of both of my socks
^^I have sedated an animal with valum from my vet.....cat was almost unresponsive for a little while. The right dose would make him easy to catch.
