It's possible that you don't intend to convey the air of arrogance that could have been interpreted. As far as the clarification of the statistic being the sole manner in which you were referring to as far superior, well that clarification came a little later.

But I'm noticing an increasingly condescending tone, so I am not sure that you deserve the benefit of the doubt.

I think comparing with overall homicide rate is also worthwhile as it shows that firearms are not just being used instead of other methods, but as well as. If you remove firearm homicides you’re left with a closer homicide rate to the UK, AUS, NZ etc with theirs still inclusive of firearms.

The topic of gun ownership in the US amazes and often stuns me who lives across the great water from youall.

I can't imagine what its like to live in a country where you shoot your children. Where your children may shoot you!
I have studied, read the books ... and know the causes of disenchanted people killing one another JUST TO MAKE A FUKN STATEMENT ... but the causes are not the cure and I think it will be a long time 'til your culture changes.

I see the huge differences in your country between East coast culture and (almost the rest). I hear NY accents and I hear West coast and I hear Texas and the red dirt flood plains where slave descendants live ... Ha Ha New York sounds the funniest!!!

So U.S. Culture is mixed, heterogenous. This will take quite a while to change.

eliminate the need/use of backpacks in schools, have desks that have the required books and materials for the class and require the students to sanitize what they used before the class ends, or just have them wear thin medical gloves like there's a chance they would be wearing them in a science class anyway

There's 2 V-sounds, with accent on the Oy.

As far as mass shootings, the Fred Meyer supermarket chain did their part.

most will be the exact same as we have now, just as we still have folks shooting flintlocks & percussion cap guns today. (the 1911a1 will still be popular, count on it) the military by then will either be using something not yet invented, or reduced to throwing rocks and jabbing with long sticks if Einstein was correct...gunpowder powered weapons have largely evolved as far as is practical. think lasers etc...

We have mass shootings daily in America. Some times multiple a day.

The powers that be have decided that these mass shootings are commonplace so why even bother reporting on them anymore? It's the same bs being reported just in a different location within the USA. Any law that would limit/ban gun use would have no effect. Why not go the other way and put a gun in every person's hands that wants one and change the law that would allow anyone to carry and use a gun to protect self/others?. The only people this would affect are law enforcement ego.. This seems to be the only way forward.

The options we have are ZERO when one political party refuses to fix our broken gun laws. The only option left to protect our kids is to arm every person in the USA and allow them to carry them anytime/anyplace. Just like the wild west used to be.
