HOW MANY CHILDREN NEED TO DIE BEFORE GUN LAWS CHANGE IN THE USA

And the enemy didn't have , jets , tanks , and helicopters .....

Tyrannical governments don't use jets, tanks and helicopters to round up citizens they don't like. They use people with guns. And if the citizens also have guns, chances are better for them.

Also, if the tyrannical government's agents know that they could die trying to round up somebody, they'll be more hesistant and the tyrannical government will have a harder time finding agents. And it takes more resources in general, with an unnarmed population you need two people to round somebody up easily, with an armed population lots more.

My feeling is, they will make guns illegal in the long run, bit by bit, until they're completely outlawed. And then they will just roundup citizens they don't like.

So what has changed since your generation until now ? I'm sure guns were around .

We had plenty of outstanding mental health services in most states. My gen had many issues but mass murder of children and allowing hate/miss info to spread was never an issue.

Today it's more important to get $ from the NRA to win an election than it is to save children's lives. Some of the people that have been elected are intentionally causing hate/anger by spreading lies and dis-info causing those with mental issues to lose their shit. Thiers so much hate being normalized there are not enough resources to help those who can't cope. There's so much dishonesty/lies being spread by our GOV I'm not surprised people are losing their shit. My gen did not tolerate such things. Our elected representatives would never say or allow what is said today.

Thats because you had no internet to mislead and divide. You vented your rage reading the sunday newspaper. Just sayin

We were not so easily missled like people are today. Reading the paper and not liking what we read is not even close to what's going on today. An equivalence would be standing on a corner yelling lies and false narratives in public which some did but few listened. The USA started multiplying suckers more than ever in 2015. Having suckers as parent will def impact there mental health

Who is Behind Gun Control?

Kind of reminiscent of The Bolshevik Revolution where the commies took over the government & went abroad in Russia to massacre around 60 million civilians. A conservative estimate...and many believe the count to be over 100 million. I'm sure most of those innocent people who were butchered in their own homes possessed no firearms. Who were the members of The Bolshevik Revolution or it's prime leaders?

I do however wear a tinfoil hat to bed...but I have the sneakiest suspicion that there are certain people in the world who eventually want every citizen disarmed. Or maybe I should add a few more layers to my foil hat. The world is sunshine & rainbows after all. Such a thing could never happen again.

Psychopaths can still cause harm without firearms, but access to firearms makes their actions far more lethal.

Every country has mentally ill citizens. Who else has regular school shootings?

What makes you imagine the US is ‘the most free’ country in the world?

‘The government’ has tanks, missiles, fighter jets, swat teams, intelligence services etc etc. It’s the system of checks and balances that keeps the government in check - maybe even its’ elections, rather than lightly armed militias.

If all political power comes from the barrel of a gun, why does the US have elections rather than perpetual civil war?
Name a country that is more free. It's because it is a free country that they hold elections,Xi just got a 3rd majority again. No guns for Chinese.

"What would things been like [in Russia] if during periods of mass arrests people had not simply sat there, paling with terror at every bang on the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but understood they had nothing to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people?" - Alexandr Solzhenitsyn

Or if they had guns.

I’m not implying it, I’m stating it.

So the US can lag behind in several other measures of freedom, and you personally believe that’s negated by gun ownership? Show me a global freedom index that lists the US at #1.

—In which of those countries can you not own guns?

You missed the part about a right as in your constitution. Why do you consider them more free?

Read through any number of global freedom indexes to find out why the US is considered ‘less free’. You can do that yourself.
