All guns kill. Semi auto AR .223 was specifically made for war to kill people. People are nuts to think their lives would be negatively impacted if they couldn't buy/own an AR. At the very least make it much harder to buy/own one. You can still buy a bolt action .223 rifle.

I just said that lol. I didn't have time to go looking. You are welcome to go do that yourself. Handguns use to be at the top for the gun type used. The last decade has changed to an assault style because they are designed to kill people quickly, in large numbers, and are easy to get.

Semi-automatic weapons are cheaper, more available, and more aggressively marketed since the 10-year Federal Assault Weapons Ban expired in 2004, The weapons’ lethal efficiency and easy reloading appeal to mass shooters. In the past 10 years, mass public shootings involving assault weapons have resulted in average death tolls that are more than double the average death tolls for mass public shootings that did not involve AR style firearms. The AR-15, like its military version, is designed to kill people quickly and in large numbers, hence the term assault-style rifle. It has no valid recreational use.

I understand exactly what you are saying but I don't believe in your idea for the solution. It's ok to disagree . I just feel like schools should be more heavily protected . We protect banks , jewelry , politicians , movie stars , with firearms . Maybe it's time we protect our schools a little bit better. There is billions of firearms in the us .
