Great grow. That thai burmese leaf structure is wild, very interested to hear how that cures up. I just wanted to mention the mason jar lid kits that allow you to suck the air out of jars. Finway vacuum seal lids i believe, They would probably help reduce risk of mold.
As an experiment, with a 1 liter jar, I've packed it with the purple thai - after hanging for a week or so at c40-45% humidity - and squished it down in the jar, which Ive left open. I'm wondering if it will dry as a cake, without any mold. Maybe should try vacuum packing some.

Cheers! Yeah, the Thai so far has been a great smoke, even with only a few weeks cure. Likewise intrigued to see how it is after a few months. Vacuuming sealing jars sounds like a great idea.

Here's the plan for phase 2. Obviously, it wont work out like this :D

Because both the female F2 MMxWRs so far have been excellent, rather than germ any more F2s I'm growing out the remaining F1s now and will make a bunch more F2 seed. There will be lines here worth exploring.

Growing a couple of new fem CBD strains: RQS's Royal Highness & ACE's CBD#1. Both feature the strain all CBD varieties seem to share, Juanita La Lagrimosa, and am wondering if the bx in all these cases is an attempt to concentrate recessive CBD genes. CBD#1 is <0.7% THC, and up to 18% CBD, plus good vigor and lovely sweet fragrant terps. Juanita (Cannatonic) was crossed with Erpurt and backcrossed to Juanita. Royal Highess is about 14% and 1:1 THC:CBD, and is Juanita crossed with Cannalope Haze, backcrossed to Juanita. Will make seeds with Erdpurt (obvs), Medical Mass x White Rhino, Syrian, and the Dance World/Johaar backcross.

It's happening again.

Keep changing my mind about the lineup, but am starting with a couple of high-CBD fems to take cuttings from. Started this evening in small (7cm) pots of new coco.

1 x ACE CBD#1
1 x RQS Dance World (third seed of a pack from 2019, will also be growing out some of the (DWxJohaar) DW Bx later to bx to DW a second time)

Once I have a few fems going, I'll start on the regs.

A Crouton !! (or whatever it's called.😂)
Nah that is Hydroton (LECA). Pebbles they are often called.

I'm talking about the stuff that looks like you hit a terracotta pot with a sledge hammer. They call them granules.

Quite different in their qualities. Benefits to both, I have a layer of LECA on top to prevent algae which grows on this stuff otherwise.

Maybe we shouldn't highjack the thread though. :D

Welcome back guys ;)

And yes, am growing now in 100% coco. Works best for me starting in v small pots and flowering in tall 4 or 5 litre pots (the sort they sell fruit bushes or young trees in). Lots of small plants.

Just started 2 more fems:

2 x Honey Cream (RQS)
2 x Royal Highness (RQS)

Royal Highness is the other high CBD strain, Honey Cream is a newish indica from Spain (BlueBlack x Maple Leaf Indica) x White Rhino, which sits well with the various other White Rhino family in the grow.

Bit of drama last night. I'd noticed some tiny (<1mm) mites in the coco around the CBD#1, quite fast moving, but figured they were harmless and left them. Then I saw a couple of small round holes in the leaves of the seedling. Hmmm. Dilute hydrogen peroxide flush, then topping with a sprinkle of diatomaceous earth (DE). I topped the other pots too just in case. Its not nice stuff - makes an ugly mud when watered - but small inverts hate it. Have not seen any more since. Will keep a close eye.

Have started off another CBD#1 seed in case the first doesnt make it. Also a couple of MSNL Pineapple Kush regs from 2019 - feeling the indica vibes strongly with this grow. The last PK I grew was a nice fragrant plant but not v strong - suspect a high CBD pheno - in which case these might also make good pollen parents for the CBD#1 fems.

Next up will be the Syrian, pack of five from RSC. The description says they prefer dry spells between watering and I'm wondering how to deal with that in a restricted space indoor grow. Everything else is in 100% coco, but I might do a coco/perlite mix for these to give more drainage.
