Start of week 13 of flower. Reduced feed to 0.6ml Biobizz bloom / 1ml @ Canna A+B c290ppm. Lots of fade now, removing a handful of yellow leaves from the Thai each day. P1.5 is still putting on new flowers, but the other phenos are mostly amber pistils. The Lemon candy are starting to look tired. Maybe give them another week.

That first AK47 auto seed I planted a few weeks ago and gave up on has finally germinated... heh. Welcome to the show, sleepyhead.

Thank you for the kind words Shiva 🙏

I'm planning on making seed with the Erdpurt & Syrian and also making F1s of both with the AK auto project (as well as crossing them to each other), so I'll have plenty of seed to risk outdoors if I can find a good spot. Its not easy to grow outdoors here but I know a few folk who guerilla grow and will probably pass seed on to them too.

Start of week 14 of flower. Reduced feed to 0.4ml Biobizz bloom / 0.8ml @ Canna A+B. For the first time yesterday I could smell the grow from outside the room. Its been a very low-odour grow so far, havent had to engage the carbon filter, but there was a definite stank yesterday.

The P1.5 thai is still putting on new growth, but the other phenos are looking close to done - yellowing leaves, hard tight buds, no new pistils for a while now.

Epic thread aliceklar!
Your direction is a little like my own when I first started growing. Unfortunately, I’ve never had the space you do.

I like the idea of making seed for your climate. The Erdpurt is a great addition. I grew it before Ace got their hands on it in hybrid form when hybrids from hell first revealed her. The Ace version is a lot more stable to work with. I’ve also grown out their newer Erdpurt x PCK hybrid that was excellent, really amazing northern outdoor plant with excellent traits throughout (although not super early). Outdoor was my thing for a great many years. Having reliable seed for your climate is a great treasure trove to have. I’m still building my outdoor genetics. One day I’ll start making my hybrids

Thanks Kalbhairav! My space might be smaller than it looks... my main grow space is a walk-in cupboard with a footprint of 90cm x110cm, and my overflow (where I'm doing the autos) is a corner of a spare room with a footprint of about 50cm x 40cm, so its not half as big as I'd like. More than enough to provide for myself and my friends, but not enough for keeping mothers, doing big open pollinations or pheno hunts, etc. It'll have to do ;)

Yeah, am also excited about growing the Erdpurt. Seems like an stellar strain.

Start of week 15. Lights at 10 hours daylength for a while now, will keep at this until they are done. Feed down to 0.4 ml Biobizz Bloom, 0.4mm Canna A+B. Hoping no more than another couple of weeks... Starting to look riper, and have harvested a few grafted phenos that were maturing at much faster rates than their siblings on the same plant. Grafting makes differences between phenos really obvious, where different branches on the same rootstock show different bud formations, different terps, or different maturing times - as well as some being twice the size of the others.

Harvesting the Lemon Candy #3/#4 plant tomorrow. It's looking done to me. I'll leave the Lemon Candy #1 though - its still putting new flowers.

how did the johaar do?
The pure Johaar didn't do very well. :( Some of the grafts didnt take, and all started putting on male flowers quite early on, and were culled.

On the other hand... I grew five phenos of Lemon Candy ((Johaar x Nitro Lemon Haze) x Johaar P2.8), which is 75% Johaar, and had to likewise cull a couple, but 2 of the 3 surviving phenos were nicely productive. Big sparse fluffy candy floss buds, with a slightly pinkish tinge to them. Currently vaping LC#3, from an early branch I pruned last week. Buds weirdly smelt of mango more than lemon. Odd. Will check that again. 1 hour in. So far an uplifting smoke with a positive mood lift and nice body buzz.

Have harvested most of the faster Thai phenos now, and am startng on the P1.4. Its good and ready. Purple budded P1.5 still has some white pistils and can go a bit longer.

Confirmed, I wasnt imagining it, LC3 does smell of mango when dried. Weird! The parents were the lemoniest Johaar x NLH female and the Lemoniest 3rd gen pure Johaar male from the P2.8 line, there was not a hint of that kind of fruity sweet smell in them or their previous generations. Effect is nice. rapid euphoric hit and energetic body buzz. Motivating. Fades off over the course of 2-3 hours with a clean clear comedown.

Started smoking some of the Thai P1.4 that has been drying for a week or so. Heady stuff. Also very energetic. Came home tired and late after a long day, vaped a small amount of bud and thought I would just chill for a while before bed. Not a hope. Was up and about until the early hours :D Not an evening smoke.

All the Highland Thai phenos apart from the huge purple P1.5 and the "dwarf" P2.12 (big budded, but not fast to ripen...) have now been cut and are drying. The P2.12 & Lemon Candy #1 are coming down tomorrow. I'm going to need more jars! The P1.5 is massive, with main buds the diameter of a coke can. I've cut a couple of the largest tallest colas and have lowered the lights a bit to ripen off the rest.

Vaped some more of the P1.4 thai last night. Its a banger. Beautiful clear mental effects and almost trippy perspective shifts and ego-loss (but without any confusion or paranoia). V grateful to the Real Seed Company for offering this gorgeous ganja - and the generations of farmers who created and curated it. This is some special weed. Pleased that I've found phenos I can get to ripen fully in 15 weeks. And lots of seeds made :)

Last of the purple P1.5 Thai and the last Lemon Candy (#1) chopped on 15th March (so 117 days... still close to 18 weeks in spite of a 10/14 lightcycle and 4 litre pots with a very light nutrient mix). The Lemon Candy has very few leaves - easy to trim. And it smells beautiful - lemon/lime/mango and some underlying incense. Thai is a mission to trim. Nicely resinous buds, but sparse and with lots of single leaves sticking out all ways. Might try cobbing some of it - it is prolific. Am glad I got a purple pheno. Impressed by the variety in form of the Thai. All so far give the same expansive high, and similar gingery citric terps (tho with some variations), but time to maturity, size and bud formation very diverse. Still working through the phenos ;)

used 2 different p2 Highland Thai males to make seed with:

P1.4 classic cola shape, large, vigorous
P1.5 Purple, sparse flowers, huge, crazy vigor, reflower
P2. 7 Fermented fruit notes. Chunkier buds, earlier
P2.9 Smaller, earlier
P2.10 weaker scent
P2.11 chunkier buds, vigorous
P2.12 Massive buds (originally a late germinating runt)

Also used Ethiopian male with:

P1.4
P1.5
P2.1
and Lemon Candy #3
and Johaar #8

Summer break incoming now, then will be back in the Fall to try the Erdpurt, the Syrian and the Rhino D. That will be a fun grow to see side by side.

As an experiment, with a 1 liter jar, I've packed it with the purple thai - after hanging for a week or so at c40-45% humidity - and squished it down in the jar, which Ive left open. I'm wondering if it will dry as a cake, without any mold. Maybe should try vacuum packing some.

Cleaning seed this morning. Mostly Highland Thai. Fat seeds with distinct tiger striping. Handsome. P1.5, the monster purple, made a shitload. The bud I pollinated with the Ethiopian also produced loads. The purple Thai x Ethiopian is a really enticing prospect.. except for the fact that Mum took 17 weeks to finish.

Most likely to grow out the P2.12 (fat bud) and the P2.7 (musky ferment fruit stinky, 15/16 weeks) next.

Nearly at the end of the final jars of the Medical Mass x White Rhino F2s #3 & #5 ("sleeper service") from my previous grow. I consider it a good sign when I feel some sadness upon coming to the end of the last jar, an indication that this line is worth journeying with.

Although I've plenty more F2 seed left, I culled all MMxWR F2 males last grow and was not expecing any seed, so was delighted to discover a few seeds in the bottom of each jar, parentage uncertain... I think I'll grow them out alongside each other. Now, I did no pollinations of those plants (deliberately), but they were right next to Sherbert Queen x Afghan F1s, BS Gelato x Afghan F1s, and a BS Gelato x Johaar F1, and those were pollinated in situ with pollen from the BS Gelato x Afghan or the Sherbert Queen x Afghan F1 males. All the male MM x Johaar's were culled early, and I dont recall any hermi flowers, so pollen donor will likely have either been a BSG x Afghan or SQ x Afghan F1. Either sounds like a good combo.

#5 had the best effect - "best" as in the most assertively relaxing eyelid glue, beautiful plant with long internodes and chunky buds, black leaves by the end of flower, but I think took about 12 weeks to finish. Thats not such a bad thing though - effect and taste and the beauty of the plant are worth much more to me than a fast finish.
