More from east anglia university?

Bro, I will make you a deal, you ignore me, i will ignore you. We will never agree and I do not have discussions with people so intellectually dishonest they disregard any evidence or research that doesn't prove their point. Kind of like east anglia and the hockey stick graph. Those professors admitted to lying, cheating, and flat out manufacturing data out of their ass.

That must be debunked by dickholer 53 too right? Got no use for you or your ilk.

I do hope you have a great day and next harvest.

I find it the pinnacle of arrogance that we as humans believe we have an impact on climate. More so than volcanoes and herbivore digestion over billions of years before the industrial revolution?

I find this all a scam to take from industrious nations to give to the third world for all we have "stolen" from them.

I find it a higher precipice of arrogance to believe we don't.

I also don't see believers as arrogant as much as wary.

Don't start thinking we aren't exploiting third world countries either.

What bubble do you live in?

People have exploited others since the dawn of time.... the real world bubble i guess.

If the Yellowstone caldera goes up, it will place more carbon in the atmosphere than we ever could. That our fault too? I believe there are too many factors in the climate cycle we do not yet understand and the globalists, lefties, greenies. What ever you want to call em are using this issue to wage their ever on going war on fossil fuel. Which i need now. Not in some hypothetical scenario creared by alarmist politicians and used by oligarchs to tell me how to live. Real World out....:woohoo:

you're ignoring facts because you've found something that fits to your worldview. try being objective.

climategate has been debunked for years and years and years. it's not my problem or fault you don't know what you're talking about.

here you go. Potholer debunked this on youtube in 2009. Here you are almost 10yrs later citing debunked misrepresented propaganda. be sure to commit more ad hominem against my source rather than be objective.

Funny thing is if Yellowstone does erupt we are supposed to have an ice age.

Really we could probably power the entire country if we could figure out a way to extract the magma and prevent the USA from being completely destroyed. It's going to happen eventually might as well try to prevent it.

that is on the radar of some organization(or 2)
some talk of generating electric power by tapping the heat in that caldera
that would be a sweet solution

Yeah, I hear NASA was trying to figure something out.

. “I was a member of the Nasa Advisory Council on Planetary Defense which studied ways for Nasa to defend the planet from asteroids and comets,” explains Brian Wilcox of Nasa’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) at the California Institute of Technology. “I came to the conclusion during that study that the supervolcano threat is substantially greater than the asteroid or comet threat.”

Sounds worse than global warming at it's worse. Just a ticking time bomb I still want to see Yellowstone though better off dieing there nice and quick than suffering, trying to survive several feet of volcanic ash. Lol

Relying on tests by the same fucks who have no credibility with most Americans carries no weight with me or anyone I know.

Why do you think the orange trumpatang is our dear leader? Because we trust dimocrats so much?

Lets just agree to disagree. I sho7ldn't have even answered this.

you're politicizing science. you've already lost.

but yes there is a definite correlation between trumptards and climate tards. when both are presented with facts, they call them fake, and believe proven conspiracies and propaganda instead.

i should start living this way. anything i dislike or have a cognitive bias against is fake!

Im trying to be nice. Dont presume you are important enough to tell any other how to live.

If you dont believe science is all politics in this day and age , you are lost guy. I hope your next harvest be heavy.

that was the article i was referring to, found it an interesting reread
here's a few interesting tie-ins to the thread
the paper mentions 2 plans to cool down the yellowstone dome
this would result in the capping of this danger zone
one is by power generation, cool the dome by drilling tunnels in safe areas, likely very expensive
the other was increasing the flow of water into the area
more water = more cooling, which does seem simpler
but that was shot down as politically unacceptable, water is scarce in the west, none to spare
now with a warming planet, some possibilities pop up

1) the west may be getting drier, warmer temps evaporate water, and the west is a drought prone region
so global warming could be bad, accelerating the heat in the volcanic dome

2) of course, global warming may increase total precipitation, that could be good
more water cools the dome, global warming saves humanity

you know, these are complicated problems

Hi Wendy, I understand that science is all too difficult for you to grasp, but look at it as two gambles. In one, money is put into solving a problem you don't believe in, the worst thing that can happen is a bit more money is wasted. The other is that we ignore science, and cling to religion or our wallets, which ever you value, and the worst thing that can happen is we destroy life on earth. Forget which you want to choose, which is the worse loss?

science is fake and politicized lmao but the corporations who own the politicians, employ their own "scientists", and directly benefit from fossil fuels are telling the truth!

i could facepalm through my desk right now.

let me ask though, what's so bad about transitioning off fossil fuels? even if climate change is 100% fake (it's not). do you really think we're supposed to use fossil fuels forever? this is like yelling at the sky because the horse and buggy was replaced by the automobile.

You make alot of assumptions. I trust none of the corporations anymore than i trust my government. From town council on up.

If fossil fuels got to go, they go. No government mandate or law did the horse and buggy in. It was replaced by a better mouse trap.

As of now, my buddies and family get to work using fossil fuels and bear the brunt of all these wonderful environmental regulations.

This study:

https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=2459057

"One study suggests that more people know what scientists think about high-profile
scientific controversies than polls suggest; they just aren’t willing to endorse the consensus
when it contradicts their political or religious views."

Also this:

"All these claims of malfeasance used the testimony of a single scientist,
upset with how more senior scientists dealt with data acquisition and archiving,
to paint an excruciatingly technical matter as a worldwide conspiracy."

From this site:

Good thread, lots to think about.

That's what I am saying. All science isn't all politics.

The human brain and ingenuity don't have to be corralled by politics... just yet anyway.

At least I believe so.

Happy harvests to you and yours.
